Aspis Consortium Knowledge:

- A contingent of Aspis mercenaries was seen approaching the Bandu Hills from the northwest—the direction of Bloodcove.
- The leader of the group is an Ustalavic aristocrat named Zaril Namoth, who is also known to be an expert tracker and hunter.

Golden Guardian Knowledge:

- Almost everyone at Fort Bandu knows the legend of the Golden Guardian, but no one seems to know anything substantial.
- Since the stories about the local boogeyman have circulated in the region for centuries, most people speculate that the creature is immortal or not a living creature.

Kobolds of Mount Nakyuk Knowledge:

- Until recently, the kobolds have largely kept to themselves. Most local people didn’t even know about the kobolds before the incident with Sharrowsmith.

Averting Eyes:
The opponent avoids looking at the creature’s face, instead looking at its body, watching its shadow, tracking it in a reflective surface, etc. Each round, the opponent has a 50% chance to avoid having to make a saving throw against the gaze attack. The creature with the gaze attack, however, gains concealment against that opponent.

Wearing a Blindfold:
The foe cannot see the creature at all (also possible to achieve by turning one’s back on the creature or shutting one’s eyes). The creature with the gaze attack gains total concealment against the opponent.
A creature with a gaze attack can actively gaze as an attack action by choosing a target within range. That opponent must attempt a saving throw but can try to avoid this as described above. Thus, it is possible for an opponent to save against a creature’s gaze twice during the same round, once before the opponent’s action and once during the creature’s turn.

Well, given that Ari-Ani shared the spoilers above (abstractly at least :) ), you know them to be dates of death as recorded in this infirmary. The dates seem to indicate the acceleration of some disease as it spread amongst the dwarves that inhabited this place.

With that bit of information, the party thinks on where to head next.

I'm guessing it's finally approaching that foreboding passage at the West of this area :) How do you all want to do this?

I wanted you make sure you noted these facts before proceeding. Would you still like to move into that corner? Or, am I mistaken and you in fact mean the SW alcove *in the center of the area* where I now see your token? Unfortunately, Soleil's go-to social skill is bluff which was not an option, so she'll aid a diplomacy.

Aid Another Diplomacy: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20

"You're prettier when you're not a statue," she says, smiling. Soleil has learned in her travels that people like flattery, she just happens to not be that good at giving it.

Ancestor Eidolon 2; Perception +5; 14/14 HP; Fort +4, Ref +1, Will +3; AC 13 (17 w/mage armor), touch 11, FF 12 (16 w/mage armor) Melee: Lucerne Hammer +6, 1d12+4 OR Slams +5, 1d8+3

Magmara can be primary if needed with a +4, but I assume someone else has a higher bonus, so I'll label it accordingly.

Aid Another (or primary?): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

"Easy, friend," Magmara says with a gentle smile, "it's not about sides or factions. We helped you because it was the right thing to do. Giving us any helpful information you can offer would be the right thing to do as a gesture of gratitude."

At the Aspis agent's disparaging phrasing of "Pathfinders" (and while the woman is looking down at her feet still), Talethia scowls and makes a rude gesture at her. The ungrateful little.... When the agent looks up, though, Talethia is all smiles. The dancer has hung her starknife back on her belt, but keeps her hand not too far away from it.

"Hey, I can see how much you hate being beholden to a bunch of Pathfinders," Talethia says to the Agent. "How about you tell us who you are, what you know about this place, and what you were planning to do here, and we'll call it even, ok?"

He stands tall with his flail drawn.

Resentful though she may be, it doesn't take much convincing in her vulnerable state to get her talking. You get the sense she'll do anything that gets her closer to the exit in short order.

I’m Vanei Thaskin. I was sent here to find out about any defenses. I got this far, but that... creature got me. I’ve had enough of this place and the Aspis Consortium! As for why we're here... we were looking for a Pathfinder agent who knows something about a dwarven device that would be of great value to the Consortium. There are also rumors that there is a golden statue in these ruins. They are going to melt it for profit.

She looks expectantly at all of you, clearly to see how many more questions stand between her and the exit.

Any more questions?

"Other than the lizard puppy, did you see any baddies we should know about?" Soleil asks, then she adds, "Oh, and if you're done with the Aspis, you could always come join the Pathfinders. The Society never would leave one of their own hanging like happened to you!"

Bluff: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

Oof, bad roll on my part. Let's see how good her sense motive is :=)
