Aspis Consortium Knowledge:

- A contingent of Aspis mercenaries was seen approaching the Bandu Hills from the northwest—the direction of Bloodcove.
- The leader of the group is an Ustalavic aristocrat named Zaril Namoth, who is also known to be an expert tracker and hunter.

Golden Guardian Knowledge:

- Almost everyone at Fort Bandu knows the legend of the Golden Guardian, but no one seems to know anything substantial.
- Since the stories about the local boogeyman have circulated in the region for centuries, most people speculate that the creature is immortal or not a living creature.

Kobolds of Mount Nakyuk Knowledge:

- Until recently, the kobolds have largely kept to themselves. Most local people didn’t even know about the kobolds before the incident with Sharrowsmith.

Averting Eyes:
The opponent avoids looking at the creature’s face, instead looking at its body, watching its shadow, tracking it in a reflective surface, etc. Each round, the opponent has a 50% chance to avoid having to make a saving throw against the gaze attack. The creature with the gaze attack, however, gains concealment against that opponent.

Wearing a Blindfold:
The foe cannot see the creature at all (also possible to achieve by turning one’s back on the creature or shutting one’s eyes). The creature with the gaze attack gains total concealment against the opponent.
A creature with a gaze attack can actively gaze as an attack action by choosing a target within range. That opponent must attempt a saving throw but can try to avoid this as described above. Thus, it is possible for an opponent to save against a creature’s gaze twice during the same round, once before the opponent’s action and once during the creature’s turn.

Ki-Chin quickly realizes that this door is stuck. As is the other to the East. You can try to break open the door to the South or East, or return through the door to the North.

Breaking open the doors, which is going to be the same for all of the doors in this area, is a matter of applying physical damage to them.

Gaskar realizes the doors are stuck. Before others can reply, he starts smashing the door closest to him - the door to the west.

Looking at the rules a little more closely, I think it's safe to handwave this to a series of take 10s/take 20s out of initiative. It was important that the group chose a direction to go though.

Indeed, to Ki Chin's chagrin it does take some effort. The half-orc pounds on the western door for some time until finally it becomes dislodged.

NOTE I needed to bring everyone's icons forward into the current room.

Pretty soon the door breaks off of the frame and Gaskar pushes it to the side. Peeking his head out and looking down the passageway, he sees that both directions are blocked by kobold snipers with crossbows!

The kobolds are at least of unfriendly disposition, and certainly untrusting. However, they seem more defensive and evasive than deliberately aggressive.

The kobolds look at each other, but still seem suspicious. They all nervously glance back down the passageway to the North, clearly anxious to simply move that way as soon as possible.

Clearly they will just leave if you let them, but since we are still in initiative order, I do need to hear that Meux and Magmara delay their actions or else do not use any of them for hostile purposes.

Meux and Magmara wait to see what happens. As they expected, the kobolds begin retreat. That which is North-most in the long passage turns and runs for the stairs up out of the temple, yelling back to his kinsmen.

Come! These mushy longshanks skin-bags aren't worth the trouble! We shall return after they are consumed by the almighty Golden Guardian!

The remaining two in the hallway hold their crossbows steady, but eye the exit North even more anxiously!

The other remaining kobold growls under it's breath, detecting Ki-Chin's tone of mutual distrust. It likewise backs into the main room and edges slowly around Mei.

Assuming that Mei is in fact threatening, which I take from your post Ki-Chin. If Mei would not comply and attack/AoO, please let me know.

It keeps slithering by until finally it breaks away from Mei and flees through the exit up to the surface.

With the way clear, the final kobold turns-tail and runs up to the surface following the others. A quiet falls over the area for now.

There is a 20-foot-long series of pressure plates down the South hallway is in poor repair. Whatever they were connected to, they don't do anything right now.

Gaskar points to a series of pressure plates and shrugs. He keeps a close eye out for any other traps - kobolds are tricky! Shaking his head, he points at the door across the hall. "Hmm?" he asks but will be careful about crossing the hall.

Hearing phrases like "fiery warrior" and "masterful prowess" used to describe her, Soleil perks up a bit, gives a nod to the Gnome, And seems to let the frustration of not fighting pass.

Then, as the Half-Orc looks at the door and offers a "Hmmm," Soleil nods and says, "Oh, I agree! Definitely hmmm! We should go over there and see if there's someone to fight!"

And she pokes Magmara with her mage armor wand if it has been an hour since last time she did so.

A 10-foot section of the wall lies in pieces on the floor—perhaps the kobolds accidentally collapsed it?

DC 10 Knowledge (engineering) or Perception:
You notice that it would be easy to make the 5-foot section of the wall topple over with a strong push (or an inadvertent stumble into it).

DC 16 Perception:
The collapse also weakened the adjacent 5-foot section of the wall dangerously. The kobolds seemed to have turned it into a crude but ingenious trap. The two squares immediately on either side of that section of wall are tiles that trigger the trap.

I'm confused about what the map shows. How do we "deal with the traps?" disable them?

Ari-tries to disable the trap. Take 10=26 with Guidance

Yes, you can disable them. They are not strictly in your way though, if that's the confusion; but the choice is still there. If you'd like you can take 10 twice and disable them both.
