Fangor's heritage help him get to the main door on the warehouse quickly. 30ft. move x6
He then, starts to open the door discretely.

Teja!

Teja closes up on the rear of the rest of the team, wielding her skull wand to try and stay in disguise.

Zallarra and the Guards! (Round Nine)
...The guard awaits "Doler's" response to his remarks...

QM rainzax |

Southern Warehouse (Part One)
We exit Encounter Mode here...
...Swiftly, the party exits the Northern Warehouse while Zallarra busies the guards outside...
Fangor is the first to reach the Southern Warehouse, and getting up to the western double doors, sees them unlocked, and if the party moves swiftly, they can remain out of earshot of the guards!
This is a single "Assisted Check" - if you are Aiding, please tag your die roll as "Aid" and roll first - if you are Leading, please tag your die roll as "Lead" and roll last - untagged die rolls will be assumed to be the latter - don't forget to describe how you are Aiding or Leading!
One option is to Sneak in - rolling against a DC 18 with Stealth!
Another option is to address the creaky door - rolling against a DC 18 Crafting or DC 16 Engineering Lore check!

The Party (except Zallarra) is Up!

Teja looks around, pointing out to Fangor various lines-of-sight that the guards might use.
Then she helps hold the weight of the door to prevent the hinges squeaking as the priest slips into the warehouse.
Assuming that Fangor is going to lead on this, as his stealth seems to be better than mine.
stealth(aid): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12 Fail but not critical, so no downside.

![]() |

Stealth: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Will use Hero Point on that
Stealth: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Guess it's not meant to be.
Frogger stubs his toe, screaming out in pain!

![]() |

Zallarra lets a slight smile show on her face for a second.Toro. Very nice to meet you. Well, we necromancers are people, just like you. Apologies if I am abrupt, I just don't have conversations with the living often and I must say, it is refreshing. And yes, I AM short. Never bothered me though, unless I have to get a bottle of dried marrow off the top ingredient shelf!"
She pauses for about 5 seconds there.
"See, I need to work on my humor. To me that was hilarious..."

QM rainzax |

Southern Warehouse (Part Two)
A pale-skinned halfling wielding a mop pokes her head in while Frogger and Teja try to sneak inside but instead make an incredible noise.
"You there! This is a protected warehouse!" and she advances upon him threateningly while yelling "Toro - we have intruders!"
She swings the mop at them, but not to hurt per se, just "Shoo!"
And unless Frogger and Teja physically resist, she slams the double doors, and locks them!
Zallarra lets a slight smile show on her face for a second.Toro. Very nice to meet you. Well, we necromancers are people, just like you. Apologies if I am abrupt, I just don't have conversations with the living often and I must say, it is refreshing. And yes, I AM short...
Toro - hearing Khala yell for him - turns around mid sentence with a "Sorry" and runs to the western entrance of the Southern Warehouse - running into Valeros on his way!
"You there - are you part of this break in?"
...
The Party is Up!

Valeros Soup |

"ME NO BREAK IN." Valeros says in his best orc accent. "ME BREAK IN, THERE IS HOLE IN WALL!"
He lowers the tip of his sword but still makes clear that he will fight if needed.
"US INVESTORS. YOU TELL US WHY ROTTING FRUIT IN ABSALOM!"

QM rainzax |

...While Frogger / Frog tries to deceive Khala, and Valeros / Aktuh tries to deceive Toro, the rest of the party...
Are you going to physically resist being "shooed"?
Is Up!

![]() |

Zallarra rolls her eyes for real as Toro runs off. She follows him around the corner, trying to keep in character.
Oh, there goes a bad day gone worse. What now? What is going on here? Let's everyone just calm down so we can sort this out."

![]() |

Frogger does not physically resist. He's hurt and exhausted. He might not be able to survive another encounter. If Teja wants to resist, he will back her up. But otherwise, he'll just be on his way.

![]() |

Teja rolls her eyes, wields her wand and stares daggers at the guard.
"[b]Enough of this insolence. If you do not have a respectful tongue in your head then I will cut it off and animate it. Perhaps then it could at least not make a fool of itself. Open up the warehouse for inspection this minute.[/.b]"
deception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16

![]() |

"Glorana" gets out and seeing the two guards says with a smooth feminine voice behind her mask.
I'm Glorana, cleric of the Living God Razmir. I'm here as a Student at the Geb Academy of Necromancy to study the dead for my God.
We have been sent by Master Sophos about an inquiry about rooting fruits as an exercice, to think "out of the box".
The door here was not locked, so we've entered but our foot's friend here, has unfortunately hit one of the box and loosed against hit.
So let us continue our investigation so we can quickly go back to what's important, our studies.
Deception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29

![]() |

Frogger backs up Teja and Fangor/Glorana. "Do what she says. You don't want to cross her."
Deception Aid: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20

"You heard. What are you waiting for? The second coming of Aroden? The Geb academy won't want to hear about your wasting our time..."

Interlude
Despite the party's best efforts, the jig is up.
The guards are unable to be fooled again here, and the party has to decide whether to allow themselves to be forcefully removed, or to respond to Khala and Toro with superior force.
Decide on which outcome - there is no Infamy involved in either decision.
The party retreat and regroup at the docks.
There remains a single entrance (open "Success" Spoilers!) that is out of earshot of the guards' post.
The party succeeds here - by whatever means are described.
Granting them unrestricted access to the Warehouse.
And the possibility of some consequence!
So - which will it be?

Valeros Soup |

"ME REQUEST SIDEBAR."
Valeros is well-equipped to pick a fight, but honestly, they seem like nice people and he doesn't want to hurt them.

QM rainzax |

"Are you even a Necromancer?" Toro accuses Zallarra "Or was that part of your scheme here too?" He yells over to Khala "You alright over there?"
She responds "So far - Got two in the building here, one outside - You?"
Then he "Two outside here" then to Valeros "Do you have a sixth accomplice?" and starts to make moves to arrest the man "Nice and easy now!" realizing suddenly that he looks to be quite a skilled warrior, he reaches for his club.
As does Khala, giving orders now too "Let's step out of the warehouse now..." with equal caution as her partner Toro above, she moves in to make the arrest.
...
So - which way are we going to play this?

Valeros Soup |

"YOU FORGET ME ORC FRIENDS, WAITING BEHIND YOU TO SMOOSH YOU!"
Valeros points dramatically at nothing behind Khala and Toro, and then shoves everyone, shouting, "Regroup where we received our paperwork!"
Valeros has a 20' movement speed, so he should lag anyway, but in case it doesn't happen naturally, he will intentionally lag behind the group so if anyone gets caught, it'll be him.
Retreat spoiler open - we regroup at the docks without combat, and have the option to sneak back to the unattended entrance of the Southern warehouse.
I suggest we sneak back after we've healed and cleared the Wounded conditions.

![]() |

Not-Teja gives a nod to Valeros and also high-tails it.

QM rainzax |

Southern Warehouse (Part Three)
...Eventually, the guards cease chasing the party - with Valeros sorely lagging behind running so heavily armored - huffing and heaving as our heroes' superior stamina - if not speed - sees them back safely to the docks, where they take a few hours to lay low...
...Selu returns from her mission, and after a brief chat says "I'm glad you didn't kill them - but I still need proof" and to that Valeros suggests a plan that involves returning after some time - just before dusk - and sneaking up from the southern side of the block, and heading to the Southeast Door - to which the party thinks is a fine idea - if their last hope for discrete re-entry!
"Be careful now - Let's stay discrete!" and Selu is off on another task, agreeing to meet back up in a couple hours time...
The door is securely locked and barred.
Athletics or Thievery may be rolled to Aid or Lead a single Assisted Check!
The cat has returned!
And is giving itself a bath in the pile of boards above you...

Wild Empathy w/ HP reroll: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Frogger looks up towards the cat. "Hey pretty fellow. Do you know of a way in? Can you show us? I can bring you some tasty fish if you do."

![]() |

Teja helps hold the door still, offering choice comments on (presumably) Fangor's choice of tools.
"I have a small mirror that may be helpful.."
theivery(aid): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
She offers a glance to the cat once Frogger points it out. "Hey kitty. Off to summon the guards again, no doubt."

It's open! Look.

QM rainzax |

While Zallarra looks out, Frogger commands the cat who runs around to the other side and scratches at some of the boxes while Valeros applies pressure and Teja pokes her mirror to give Fangor the access he need to POP...

Zallarra will walk over to the cat, talking in a low, pleasing voice.
"Hello kitty! What have you found! Who's a good, cute kitty?"
She will also check out the boxes being scratched...

![]() |

Teja will sneak forward, trying to get a feel for the warehouse.
stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
She stops to pet the cat as she goes past it.
"nice kitty."
Hopefully good luck. Although our luck last time was not so good..

QM rainzax |

Zallarra steps over the crates that were barracading the door (that the cat was scratching at) and pets it - it rolls onto it's belly! - watching as Teja sneaks past it!

Frogger joins in the petting of the cat. "Such a cutie. You're our savior. Wonder what your name is."
Moved up to be adjacent with the cat. Will allow others move in and explore as Frogger doesn't want to be in the front line.

Southern Warehouse (Part Four)
One by one, the PCs slowly file inside - up ahead, Teja sees amid the stacked crates a "pathway" that leads forward, across, and around twice...
...eventually the party stops petting the "good" kitty - currently purring heartily! - and continue their investigation of the Southern Warehouse...
