Abnaki is in charge in guns blazing mode, even while blind, so any tactics will have to come from someone not him. I personally wouldn't mind doing some recon, but he's more of a muddle through it type guy.

Its a standard action to put Kallik back in Qizz's mind to avoid her falling. Don't have a way to prevent it. It will take a soldi minuet to get her back out. But if she goes to zero I have to let her heal in Oizz's head and phantoms heal slowly. And the both of them have to stay within a certain distance of each other
I think no worries about Kallik - even if this isn't "canon", a phantom should be able to follow their host. Since the eagles caught Qizlvutz, I wouldn't worry about Kallik. No need for her to get put back in your head.
I love that you are leaning into the idea of being blinded, Abnaki! Roleplaying at its finest, especially putting on a strong front for your Fey allies.
Once Gabriel replies with the intel hes gathered, combat will "resume", and I'll update the map, and we will continue forth! :)

This idea is too cool to lose, so I want to change the rules of the battle somewhat.
Instead of you going into the final chamber, I want Samen to start casting the spell.
This will be a combination of a skill challenge and combat. The skill challenge will involve decrease the casting time, and increasing your chances of success. I'm not going to follow the exact rules of the spell - you won't be losing spellcasting for a week or anything like that.
The combat will involve ever-increasing hordes of minor/medium gem creatures (they won't send their big guns, as the fear would be you are trying to draw them out from their lair of power)
If you succeed, the efreeti will be engaged with the snake people, and you will only have ((some kind of boss)) to fight.

I want you to start with an absolutely killer post RPing the spell itself (this is a mind/psychic spell now!) and the initial contact with Kessh-Amon. The spell will "work" in as much as you will succeed in making the connection to begin with.

Are there ways to help beyond keeping Samen safe and taking care of the hoards while he does the magics I am working on adding rituals to my campaign. Could be anything like sacrificing spells, skill checks, ect?

Any given round, every PC will have the option of attacking, etc like a normal comat OR trying to cut down on the casting time.
Samen, unless you have a way to quicken spells into a free actions, your default will be to use your standard action to keep the spell going and steadily reduce the casting time.

So, Qizzlvutz/Kallik, if you wish to go this route, a spellcraft check and "casting" what you think is an appropriate spell could be a way to reduce the time.
Let me know if you have followup questions. I think this will be a fun challenge for our powerful heroes :)

I don't suppose the spell accelerate might do some good? How familiar are people with the first edition of haste rules? Where it burned through years of life?

I think my skills would be best used shattering some crystals as they come to attack us.
That's the only specific rule I remember from previous editions is that it made you faster but also made you age faster. My first D&D experience used THACO but it was low level and 3rd came out just after.

So since we are being flexible with magic can Qizz use Mindlink to take on some of the burden of casting the summoning?
IF you decide to do that and use it that way, it will have benefits, but it also means Qizzlvutz will be another PC who is doing nothing but helping with the summons. Each round would be going toward concentrating with him. (Kallik would still be free to act)
Gotcha. So it looks like there was a bit of time before, I think. If possible can Qizz have finished a summon to help before dipping out of the fight. It would just be a d3 of eagles.

Kallik - let's round that up to 10 healing for the cool vampiric touch idea.
Gabriel - have FIVE healing due to the nat 20 -- you can feel a siphoning effect going through your shade as its quasi-real attacks help to kill the last rubycap near you.
Samen, I cannot believe you did not get a single aging effect. I will bow to the dice and the rules I set forth, as DMs must. This was a very fun thing, and thank you for getting the ball rolling on this whole idea.

Yeah, I've been regretting since we had the battle with Moon that we didn't get to call on this guy. But with bringing back the Blessed and everything else going on in that encounter, there wasn't any room for him. I'm glad he fits here.
P.S. I feel real great about taking the Great Fortitude feat now. :D
Combat is still going, but now would be a good time to take a round or two to heal, buff, etc. Judging from the size of the yellow crystal, the passage where the rubycaps were coming from will lead almost directly to the central chamber.
The snakes are going to go ahead (and not listen to anything you say) and engage with the efreet. So don't take too long, but declare a round or two of heal/buffs, and then I will update to our next scene.

It's gotten quite hazy by me as well. Looking at the maps, the fires are relatively small but the weather systems are just right to blow the smoke everywhere. Definitely not something you see all the time. If it weren't for all the air quality issues, it would be pretty neat.
Very odd to see a reddish sun at mid-morning. Feel like a precursor to Volcano.
I'm in Massachusetts in the US at the moment, and it's gotten to us as well. Nova Scotia is far enough away that it's not that bad, but we've got an air quality warning.

Just observing from the other table. Most of my family is on the eastern seaboard ranging from Maryland up through Massachusetts, and my wife is headed that way to visit folks right now. When she called earlier today (somewhere in central Pennsylvania), she said she could barely see the sun through the smoke. Absolutely wild.
