The DC on the necklace is pretty high...And one of the big disadvantages your party has had is no wizard to ID things. The beads on the necklace are removable and surprisingly heavy.

As soon as Rhu speaks the command word, the clockwork servant levitates into the air and ushers the group up to a cluster of pylons. Several of the mechanical servants follow the clockwork creature and begin digging through the piles of wreaked ship. The area where they are excavating is well over 100 feet above them and several clockworks stay behind to make sure that those who are less skilled at using subjective gravity do not dash themselves against the jagged hull of a ship as they "fall" upwards.

The clockwork creatures assist the party in rummaging through the ship yard and after about an hour of searching one of the crab like flying clockworks approaches the party. "Found! Found! Found! Found!" the construct shouts in a shrill, excited sounding voice. The creature leads the party to a mass of debris and finds the broken remnants of a mast covered by a sail. When the sail is pulled to the side they see a brass statue of a slyph who is holding a crystal horn to his lips mounted on the broken chunk of mast. Amazingly, the fragile looking horn is still in pristine condition.

At this point the party notices thunderclouds gathering. There is a crack of lightning and the sky begins to turn ominously dark.

Everyone has exactly 1 round worth of actions that they can take, which can be moving around, casting spells, picking up that horn. Whatever you'd like!

Suddenly several "entities" come flying towards the group. Each one is a swirling mass of gray cloud and crackling blue electricity and they are moving at incredible speeds. Then to the party's surprise, one of the elemental creatures calls out in a familiar voice. "I have been reborn, more powerful than ever before! Servants, attack them! But make sure to leave a couple of them alive! I am looking forward to personally torturing these outlaws." The voice of the elemental is unmistakably Chalissier, the mage that the party defeated a couple of weeks ago!

Minor edit to what happens to the weapon

Both warriors find themselves disarmed, with their weapons stuck to the creatures. The elementals then tosse the weapons behind them. Instead of falling to the ground, both of them continue to float in the air.

Just to keep things simple, all the plyons and wreckage on this map are at elevation 0. The elementals started at 20 feet higher than the group, but charged downwards. The only thing on the map that's not currently at 0 is Chalissier, who is 20 feet higher. If you elevate or descend I will put a +X or -X after your name in the initiative tracker.

Grabbing the horn is just a move action, leaving Rhu with a standard action. The horn does take up one of his hands, keeping Rhu from using his bow while holding it.

Grax and Hskoro draw secondary weapons and attack the elemental creatures in front of them. Hskoro nearly loses his balance from his swing and only keeps from plunging off the wreak by hooking his hammer around a beam and pulling himself upright. Okay, there's going to have to be some retro active actions here.

Rhu starts to blow on the horn and realizes that a tremendous amount of energy is going to come from the end of it but doubts that it will travel far enough to hit Chalissier.

The blast is a 30 ft. cone effect. Rhu could redirect the blast at the other elemental or fly closer to Chalissier. Rhu could just barely get into his reach with a 60 ft. fly speed.

Therin's force scimitar takes off another chunk of Chalissier. Then he casts a spell and a beam of light flashes down from heaven and explodes in a brilliant nova of light around the elemental mage. When the light fades Therin can see that Chalissier has been unaffected.

No critical hit, but he's also immune to crits anyways. And weirdly enough, he's actually not evil anymore. Funny thing is that he actually used to be...

Chalissier Reflex: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20

Grax pulls out a potion and drinks it.

Grax is short an action needed to grab the sword, as its a move action to pull out a potion and a standard to drink it. And five foot stepping while flying does require a Fly check, as you're moving less than half your speed.

Speaking of flying, Hskoro is about to step out into open air, but there does appear to be a rope that he could tight rope walk on with an Acrobatics check. Does he still want to move forward?

There are ways to shape the cone that wouldn't hit anyone else.

Rhu feels the power flows through the horn and turns his head to the side to aim the blast at the remaining elemental. There is a resounding crack as a cone of lightning blasts from the end of the horn and engulfs the storm cloud elemental.

Despite appearing to be made of lightning itself, the elemental is severely burned by the blast of lightning from the horn. Rhu can feel that while the horn is still flowing with energy, the humming from it now feels really erratic and uneven rather then steady and rhythmic like it was before.

I'm moving Grax and Hskoro back, as they both have reasons they can't 5 ft. step. Grax can take that step with a DC 10 Fly check, but Hskoro would have to make a move action and make an Acrobatics check to balance on that rope.

The Dragon's Demand

Subjective Gravity Rules:
In most parts of the Plane of Air, an individual chooses the direction of gravity’s pull. When walking on solid
surfaces, choosing the direction of the surface to be “down” is relatively intuitive and does not require a skill check. In midair, creatures with natural flight can fly normally. Those without the ability to fly, or those who would prefer to move faster, can attempt to set the direction of gravity.

Once per round as a free action, an individual can attempt a DC 16 Wisdom check to pick a new direction for gravity. If she succeeds, she begins falling in that direction, moving 150 feet in a straight line on the first round and 300 feet on each succeeding round. If she fails, she can attempt the Wisdom check again the following round. The DC decreases to 12 until she succeeds. Once an individual starts falling in a direction, stopping requires a successful DC 16 Wisdom check to set gravity in the exact opposite direction. If she succeeds, she continues falling 150 feet in her original direction for 1 round, and then stops=

Okay, I posted the rules for subjective gravity again, which I honestly forgot about how they worked. It is a free action to try to change gravity, and I assume if you fail that round you just keep the same gravity as before. So Hosser still has a move and a standard action this round.

Grax launches himself into the air, grabbing the greatsword as he goes. He flies up towards Chalissier, trying to use the airship hulls as some cover.

Not sure if the ships do provide cover since this is 3D combat.

The objects on the map are solid, so they can provide cover. Just to note, Chalissier is higher than the PCs, so that's got to be taken it to consideration. The objects can be flown under though. For simplicity, let's say the gray pylons are 20 feet deep and everything else is ten feet deep. You will have to tell me if you're changing elevation though. Going up is double movement, whether it's straight up or at a 45 degree angle but going down isn't.

Therin's fire blast misses but the ever reliable spiritual scimitar slices away a little more of Chalissier.

Grax flies towards the mage, grabbing his sword as he flies by.

Is he dropping the flail beforehand or holding both weapons?

Rhu gets ready for some archery whole Hskoro gives the wounded elemental a reason to think twice before attacking again.

"You think drinking a mere potion will make you my equal? I am Chalissier, the master of the skies!" the mage taunts Grax. Then he casts a spell on himself and flies away, descending so that he can no longer be viewed behind one of the great stone pylons.

Shaken by it's impending doom, none the less the wounded elemental stands it's ground and swings at Hosser again. Once again the creature makes the embiggened cleric's ears ring.

Grax has both weapons, but he's about to drop the flail onto onto the deck of the ship near him as he flies over it.

The half-orc growls as he sees the mage fly away from him. He takes off after him, dropping his flail onto the deck of an airship as he flies over it, grateful that it won't just plummet through endless sky. He speeds towards the mage, shouting to the others, "Finish playing with that thing and help me corral him!"

Double move straight to Chailisser, dropping his elevation at the final 15 feet of distance. Drop the flail on the airship and take his greatsword in two hands as a free action.

That is right! You have to have line of sight to target a foe with spiritual weapon, but it doesn't end if you have no valid targets. Instead it returns to floating above the caster until they direct it to attack something else or the duration runs out. I think Hosser could see Chalissier from his position, but Therin wouldn't be able to.

Rhu fires a pair of arrows at the wounded elemental. One of the arrows strikes it right in the middle, causing the creature to break apart into tiny storm clouds.

Without a valid target at hand, Hosser can retcon his action

Changing your gravity orientation does mean that your character is literally falling in that direction for 150 ft. Meaning you can take fall damage if you hit something. And it is a wisdom check, not a Will save like I originally thought. Therin just barely missed the DC, but still has a move action and it will be only DC 12 next round. If you have a free hand while falling, I will allow you to grab into an object as you fall. Normally it's pretty tough climb check to do this, but this will be a special circumstance. And you can move around on any adjacent rubble (I'm not going to consider anything difficult terrain, as there is enough going on with this map), but if it's just a little beam or rope as it is in a few spots you'll need to balance or hop over it.

Hooser, I went by initiative order to determine who got the kill on that elemental, so you can retcon your action. And from where you're standing currently, I think you can see Chalissier and therefor target him with spiritual weapon. Therin, I'm moving you to a spot where you have line of sight so you can use spiritual weapon.

Therin's spiritual weapon slices into Chalissier, continuing to whittle away at the elemental.
