I suppose we follow the trail behind the men who went to the barrel aging caves. I think I'm okay without any healing for now. Those were nasty little things... Markus looks around the group waiting for everyone to be rested and feeling better...

"Hrm," Howirk says rather weakly as he removes the last leech. "I could likely use a strike of healing."

Lilli is delighted to note that the magical healing wand seems especially powerful today. Leon smiles as he too benefits from the magical stick.
Healing of the hp damage has also fixed the CON damage.
The way on leads through that fungus filled pond... The mist swirls around, making it difficult to keep your bearings. If you were to blunder off the trail, who knows how long you might stumble around in the bog.

I'll heal Menes just because Boaz is a nice guy. You could say he's a fun guy too.

6 CLW wand uses, correct?
"Well, I wonder if this fungi is edible. I'm starving right about now. All that wand use has tired me out...".

"Thank you Boaz. Those beasts are quite vicious."
(I'm with Leon. I always burn my first 2 Prestige for a wand)
GM Aerondor

That sounds right to me. While the scenario is a bit of train trip, I'm not adverse to creative solutions to problems if you want to try them. Your currently problem is the path, the pond (full of fungus) and the mist.
Boaz Kostaz
|
"Does anyone want to go ahead? I'm going to make sure there aren't any leeches anywhere... and make sure the fungi aren't poisonous."
Boaz walks over to the fungi and examines it, making sure the species isn't going to poison the group. He'll also see if this area is a breeding ground for leeches.

Boaz recognizes these as Shrinkers, although a slightly odd variety.
If you get too close they will make a loud sound, and possibly attract other predators.
Leon the Brute
|
The big man scratches his head, ”Deh shrooms bad? Can we just shoot em?”
He pulls out the borrowed bow and readies to fire.
GM Aerondor
|
Boaz is aware that shriekers are not exactly sentient. Shooting one would likely set off all the other ones.
Howirk Crookfeather
|
The big man scratches his head, ”Deh shrooms bad? Can we just shoot em?”
"Doubtful." Howirk replies, stroking his chin. "One with means could burn them, I suppose."
The halfling shrugs. "Probably, best we can do is rush through the muck as quickly as possible." Glancing up at Leon, he adds, "These short legs more likely to get me to the bottom than get me across. Perhaps, I could take a short ride on your shoulders, Friend?"
GM Aerondor
|
The mist continues to swirl, and time continues to pass. Who knows what is happening to your quarry in this swamp...
Boaz Kostaz
|
"We shouldn't shoot them, no.". He looks at Leon, the brute. "Shooting one will set them all off.". Boaz will look around. "This mist is ominous." He'll laugh a deep laugh.
Leon the Brute
|
Leon looks at the halfling, "So uh... we can't shoot dem? Dey right dere. We all aim at difrent wuns den shoot together an dey die. Easy-Peasy."
He takes aim and once everyone else has also picked a target begins counting down, "I count down from fee an den we shoots. Fee, Two, One, SHOOT!"
Leon the Brute
|
Leon squints as he is aiming, "Ooooh! Dere's a lot more den I tawt. Aight, I'll wade trough dere all quiet like an if dey done notice me, you all come along."
He glances down at the halfling, "Da little one can ride if ya want."

'For a dummy, that one is actually quite skilled...and always has a plan...' considers Donkor.
Slipping silently into the shadows, he follows along.

Oh well, we had a good run of it....
Lili Thulgust
|
Lili tries to also move stealthily, though she's momentarily distracted as Markus makes noise beside her.
Stealth: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (20) + 0 = 20
She quickly recovers, however, and begins moving forward, though she can't seem to find where Corgrim went.
GM Aerondor

Well, the group *mostly* makes it across. But mud... mud..mud.. it's not like solid rock. Not at all. And half way across the pool Markus, normally sure-footed, goes for a splash. And suddenly all around the pool is a horrid, horrid screaming. Oh my goodness, it's like elf-music, or for those who are fans of elf-music, perhaps more like an orc-torture chamber.
And the smell. Gag me with a mace, but the smell is almost as bad as the sound.
Fort, DC 12 save for Markus, or you are nauseated
One round of actions from everyone please.

We're rolling our own init? This is the first time ever in a PbP I've gotten to do that :=)
Init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Lili rushes at the giant mushroom calling out, "Giving you a flank, Markus!" and as she does so, she thinks, Wait what if the mushroom can speak Common? Drat! I've given away my clever plan! Ah well," and as she's thinking that, her nails extend into wicked-looking claws and she slashes at the fungus.
Claws with Chill Touch: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 211d4 + 5 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 5 + (3) = 10
Chill touch (the 1d6) does negative energy damage if that matters, and the mushroom must make a DC 12 Fort save or take one point of strength damage

re: init. It depends on how lazy/pushed for time I am feeling. Less of an issue in PFS-core, but various people in other systems get all sorts of situational bonuses to init, and it can make it easier if they keep track of them. That said, if there is too much delay, I'll roll it for them.

@all Feel free to include a perception check with your next post
Past the pool, you continue to follow the faint trail through the misty mire. Now aware of the risks of leeches, shriekers and quicksand, you manage to avoid similar perils for the next couple of hours. Eventually the path ends at a small hill.
Poking up from the murk in front of a crumbling foundation of cobbles, a cracked and faded sign swings upon a moss-covered post. It reads Barrel-Aging Caves. Within the foundation a pile of debris clogs a 5-foot indent in the ground that looks like an old stairwell. A few feet away, a muddy corpse lies face down in the murk.
