Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Green misses and then Atlan and Rhysfar swiftly strike the creature down. Then Mary focuses on Red and with a Holy of electricity Red slumps to the ground.

"It is nice to see those boars. I love bacon and thought we would be eating goats with all this hilly terrain.'
Arcane Bolt 8 | Sorcerer 5

GM Bozzinator |

After the Infernal Healing from Mary Kay Fang feels a lot better. You can definitely take the boars for food later. You guys gather yourselves and head back out towards the second landing, going away from the beach and more into the lightly wooded area for the best path.
You can hear water running ahead of you and as you get to see the water you also see a creature standing by the water look at you.

Mary Kay studies the MasterBlaster on the trail. She ponders a moment as the follows the trail a bit, before stepping to the side. She moves her hands in a complicated pattern that they have seen before, unleashing a spark of electricity at the the creature (whichever one that is not undead).

Eustice holds his crossbow at the ready and delays.

GM Bozzinator |

After you guys catch your breath from the encounter with the 2 creatures you are able to scavenge 1 handaxe and then press on ahead knowing you still have a couple more hours of travel until your at the second landing site.
An unusual swath of ground lies ahead. A section of ground approximately ten feet wide crossing your path looks as if it is grooved, covered with minute depressions and trampled grass. A first impression suggests a path left by hundreds of thousands of insects marching in a tight formation, but none of the plants appear to be eaten or damaged. Where the strange trail intersects with obstacles, it either splits and goes around the obstacle like water, or veers to avoid it entirely.
Fang and Rhysfar notice something about the terrain ahead.
Esgidiau Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Eustice Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Fang Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Mary Kay Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16
Atlan Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Rhysfar Survival: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
You guys pickup a few things about the terrain ahead of you.
The trail is not perfectly uniform in width, but it is consistently about 10 feet wide with some minor variances, usually where the terrain is uneven.
Close examination reveals tiny pointed impressions, like the trail was formed by hundreds of stabs from small spikes.
The trail was created by hundreds of creatures or objects, rolled or rolling across the ground. Each is heavy enough to leave a slight impression but not enough to flatten the ground.

GM Bozzinator |

You guys are able to few more hours rather uneventfully and end up finally arriving at the second landing site.
The island shoreline arcs to the northwest until it hooks sharply south like a bird’s beak to form a small cape. Anchored offshore is the Peregrine. Pulled up on the shore is a ship’s boat, evidence of a landing party
You see Ramona along with a few sailors and soldiers waiting by the boat. Ramona will quickly rise to her feet. “You’re here, that’s a relief. We had some... unexpected problems. I’ll tell you about it, but first I’d like to hear your report on the colony. What did you discover?”

Mary Kay Ponzi |

Mary Kay nods to Ramona and gestures to the shade on the shoreline away from the sailors.
"Strange, but seems habitable. We discovered 3 bodies of the settlers. One was slain in the forest, and another by ankyeg. We have dispatched both of those creatures. The chapel, sadly, is an active site. We buried the remains of one, but his Poltergeist is still asking why he was killed. He seems to think it was Raymond A that killed him.
There were some squatters of 2 different biped races that we had to clear away from the village. Other than what they disturbed, the village looked... orderly. No signs of battle, no fire damage, nothing packed up for a trip. They just... poof a few weeks ago.
There seems to have been at least 2 factions to the camp, that were keeping secrets from each other. Not certain how much that explains things."
Arcane Bolt 8 | Sorcerer 5

Rhysfar Llannelan |

"Probably more killing than just the one. Things went sour. People stopped trusting. Isolation can do that, but this feels different."

Eustice Befufftlefumpter |

"No overt signs of Illusionatti involvement. But as you certainly know, they don't leave behind obvious clues. So the distinct lack of clues almost certainly points to their involvement."

Evan “Fang” Grissom |

"Mmhm"
Fang nods along as the others give their reports.

GM Bozzinator |

We can have Fathers Eamon and Kurvis research about how to put the soul at rest. Thank you for getting rid of the creatures. I'm glad to hear that the building are still intact. It's fantastic to know that the tools and equipment is still there, it would have been very hard without those. It might be a bit of work to get everything back up and running like normal but we should definately go to Talmandor's Bounty. That is, if the ship can actually get there.
She shakes her head and gives a slight sigh. After we dropped you off we sailed almost to were it is anchored at now, fairly quickly and without incident. When the ship approached the cape, however, its momentum dropped to a snail’s pace, despite the fact that its sails were full of wind. The anchor wasn’t lowered, they weren’t dragging the keel through a sandbar, and no giant monster was sighted with the ship in its clutches. At least one sailor swam underneath the ship, but didn’t report anything unusual. Also both the ship's crew and passengers are on edge. Perhaps if the curse that has befallen the ship was lifted everyone might relax a bit. Would you be able to check the underside of the ship's hull and see if you can find the cause of this problem?

Rhysfar Llannelan |

Rhys nods wearily.
Stripping off the breastplate and spending a swift before we enter the water to use Animal Focus (frog). I'll leave my backpack on land, and carry a shortspear into the water.

Mary Kay Ponzi |

Mary Kay nods to the others. "My swimming is fairly poor. If you would like, I can try to detect magic from the interior. I do not have Message available to me. Perhaps one of the clergy has it. That way Eustice and myself can coordinate sweeps. Or maybe a simple knock code so we examine the same section at the same time."
Arcane Bolt 8 | Sorcerer 5

Evan “Fang” Grissom |

Dropping his tent and backpack, but tucking a knife into his belt, Fang stretches before making the slow walk to the shoreline. Then he slides into the water, and glides around easily.
"Ready, steady. Shall we check things out?"

Atlan Moredew |

the water is my home. Shouldn't be a issue checking this out
Atlan will dive into the water and give a nod to the rest of the group

GM Bozzinator |

Thank you so much for jumping on this issue right away. You see her lean to one of her men and then look back at you. Yes we will be able to cast Message but unfortunately only for 2 people.
Slide 3 updated, please put yourselves where you want to. Mary did you want to be on the ship on the inside but as close to the bottom of the ship as possible?

Mary Kay Ponzi |

Yes please. I figured Eustice and myself can be on opposite sides of a square, him wet and me dry. We can message each other of strange things.

Rhysfar Llannelan |

Current swim score will be +13 for the next minute, which means I should be fine even in combat baring some sort of current shenanigans. Holding breath counter starts at 28 rounds.

Rhysfar Llannelan |

Rhys swims forward to get a better look at the creatures on the hull. Taking 10 on the swim check for a 23.
Knowledge (Nature): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
27/28 Rounds of Breathe left.

Evan “Fang” Grissom |

Fang will swim a bit closer and bare his teeth at the creatures.
"Shoo ya lil' buggers. Getoffa there."
yes, it's underwater. not sure how the sound will translate, but he's definitely giving off body language to say, 'go away pests'

Rhys taps on the hull with the butt of his spear to try to scare the creature off.

Eustice Befufftlefumpter |
