| Enora - Arcanist Iconic |
Enora, a small female halfling in fine robes looks at all of you with interest.
She walks through the room and says "Oh yes, I am finally here!! Hello, my name is Enora. I assume we are all professionals here!! Might be a good chance to get to know each other. I am from Rahadoum originally and am quite interested in magical phenomena - I hope to have your support in uncovering the secrets of this wonderful world. And I am quite optimistic that we will be successful!" she says cheerfully.
Orst Tilboar
|
A tall, heavy build, Varisian man makes his way into the room just catching Enora's introduction. "Sorry, I hope I am not late. I'm Orst Tilboar. Glad to meet you, Enora. I am from Lastwall originally. I have been kicking around as a pathfinder for a while now, though I know eventually I am destined for the crusades." "Just delaying the inevitable I guess, but Iomadae seems to be calling me to keep helping out the society. Anyway, I am reporting in for duty."
Orst is armored to the hilt with plate, has two bastard swords and a heavy pack with him.
Jaxun
|
Probably one of the first to arrive was a human male who appears to be Chalaxian. He has paler skin, shoulder length dark hair and blue eyes. He stands a little under 6' but is well muscled. He wears rugged looking traveling clothes but the sheen of mithral mail can be seen under. A long cloak of dark material falls almost to the floor. He bears a battle axe, short sword and several daggers. A large wooden shield sits beside him along with an impressive looking composite bow.
When Enora walks in he stands politely, seeming to move with an unexpected grace considering his bulk. After she finishes and Orst as well he speaks up.
"Greetings. My name is Jaxun. Absalom has been my home for years now. The society became my home when I arrived here and I serve it still. What menace do we face this time. Please tell me it's not in the museum this time..."
If anyone wants to try a know: Nobility they may know something interesting about Jaxun.
Fuzzfoot Hogan
|
"Farin Hogan, dang glad to meet you! My friends call me Fuzzfoot, although I don't know why - my feet are a little on the hairy side, but not much worse than some others I have known."
Knowledge, nobility: 1d20 + 9 + 1d6 ⇒ (16) + 9 + (2) = 27
"My earliest memories are of the streets of Absalom, and while I certainly have enjoyed travelling all over the world, I still seem to be drawn to it as home. The Society and I found each other, I suppose, because I too have a strong interest in uncovering secrets of magic, society, and anything else that can be known, really. Over the years, I have learned much - some of it magical, some of it scientific, and much about the social order of things."
Lorian the Peacemaker
|
A nobly dressed half-elf of Taldan extraction enters. "Greetings, I am Senatorial candidate Lorian Therian, Marquis of Whitemarch, Ambassador of Taldor." he said with a bow to the assembled. "Forgive me, I just came from a party at the Thuvian Embassy. I might be a bit over dressed for this." he said. Pulling out some translucent cloth tubes out of a pocket, the clothing shimmered and was replaced with more normal adventuring garb when he put them on.
"There, that's better. Let me try this again, Hello everyone" he said.
K:Nobility: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Jaxun
|
Heh, usually the groups I am in have very little knowledge of the more noble of the species. This is kind of funny.
It's a little obscure but several people are already looking at Jaxun as if they might know who he is.
A minor noble thing, I think the DC is 20
Those who remember something think back to a story about an ex-slave from Cheliax who came to Absalom, joined the society and supposedly performed a few great deeds. Then he somehow, possibly through surviving several adventures in the museum and for the family, met one of the younger Blakros daughters and after a few months, they were married. Now this man, who came to Absalom with nary a penny to his name has a nice town home in the Petals district with his young wife and a minor noble's title. Rumor says he would put up his weapons for good but he occasionally feels the need to travel and adventure and also this is the Blakros daughter who very much likes to shop so he may run missions for the society just to keep the books balanced...
Fuzzfoot Hogan
|
"I knew you looked familiar! You married into the Blakros family, didn't you? How's that working out? Those daughters... crafty and wicked smart, but boy can they cause trouble. At least twice I have had to help that family, and that museum... well, let's just say I have had enough of that place! Still, nice enough people from the few I have spoken with..."
Jaxun
|
Jaxun actually looks a little embarrassed as Hogan speaks up."Ah. Yes. She is actually an amazing woman. We get along just fine. The family gatherings are...always interesting. Last cook out we had I had to help defeat some demon lord or something. I still try to stay away from the museum."

Looking at the man, Jaxun smiles.
"My name is Jaxun. The lady knows me. This is by far not the first time I have done work for her."
Mun of Ashava
|
"I'm Mun, of Ashava, as you well know." The elf nearly snarls with this utterance. "It's a good thing that the Venture-Captain has retrieved me; this menial undercover work isn't working. At. All."
| GM Garmon |
When you finish with your presentations the butler give you the letter,
the letter bears Venture-Captain Heidmarch's seal, and seems to contain an enclosure. "Greetings, Pathfinders! I have new information for you about our agents' discoveries regarding the cult of Lissala. When the Ten learned of the cult's active existence, they sent a team to infiltrate a cell in the industrial town of Palin's Cove.
During that mission we learned that the cult intends to bring back the ancient Thassilonian Runelord Krune to rule Varisia. Pathfinder agents next encountered Lissalans here in the City of Strangers and discovered that the cultists aim to return the runelord by using refuge tokens that he created for his followers to reach his hidden location.
Our Pathfinders also uncovered the location of an ancient Lissalan shrine, documented to hold a cache of these refuge tokens.
The enclosed map shows the location where the shrine is said to be-the fastest way there is from Kaer Maga west into the Wyvern Mountains. "Find the shrine and recover the refuge tokens so that we may use them to access krune's lair, thus preventing the Lissalans from raising their runelord.
Don't attempt to use the tokens yet-we also need to uncover the proper command words. And hurry, please! A group bearing the Sihedron-Lissala's holy rune-was seen leaving the city two days ago. They must seek the shrine as well. "Should you have additional questions about your mission, seek out a trusted informant in the Downmarket District, a textile merchant named Allira Vandane. She will aid you as much as she can. May Desna smile upon you, Pathfinders."
| Enora - Arcanist Iconic |
"Ohh, this sounds dangerous but also exciting! Let us go to the Downmarket District and speak to Allira Vandane! We have to make haste!" she says and starts to pack her stuff.
Orst Tilboar
|
"Sure, that sounds best. What will wr need to know? "I have never heard of the wyvern mountains." "Will we be climbing?"
Orst starts to gather his things. Once he has he waits by the door.
Jaxun
|
Jaxun sighs.
"Another Runelord. Nothing but trouble." He looks at the Varisian man, Is the route through these mountains a road or trail or is it a rough hike? Also, do you know of any dangers, like, well, Wyverns in there?"
Mun of Ashava
|
"Another? You have much experience with Runelords, Jaxun?"
Mun makes ready to head to the Downmarket District to meet their contact.
Orst Tilboar
|
"To the Downmarket then. Hopefully our path will become clear from there."
Orst opens the door and allows others to walk out. "Shall we go?"
| GM Garmon |
You go to the market district, to textile merchant where with a few simple questions you locate your contact Greetings My name is Allina, can i help you?? Do you have any questions about your mission??

Enora jumps into the air and claps her hands.
"Wow! Look how we worked together and now we know everything!! We have to leave immediately, the Lissalans are super fast! And have hostages!" and with this realization she start to pack her things to leave to the market.

"I have done my shopping and am ready to go."
Really, you almost have to laugh - the small halfling has potions, scrolls, vials, bags, pouches, etc. all over the place.

As he mentally jokes about the amount of stuff he has Hogan notices that Jaxun also has well made bags and pouches and sheaths full of scrolls, potions and wands and other things... Gotta love that 1e Use Magic Device skill...

Still wondering how we will get to these mountains and how we will find the temple. Are we to intercept the cultists or track them? Also, mountain ranges are huge. How will we find these cultists? We have very little to go on geography wise. Is there just one pass and we can find there teail from there? Maybe all will become clear with the next GM post.
"How are we traveling? Should I procure a horse?" "Maybe a guide would be good."
Jaxun
|
"It sounds like these cultists are moving fast and that there is a navigable trail so horses or such would be smart."
| GM Garmon |

" Our informant only saw the group leave but not sure how many were, and about preparations give me a second, according to our sources, the shrine lies about 1oo miles west of Kaer Maga in the Wyvern Mountains, through the Ash-Blown lands."
"After a long mountain journey along valleys and hills you reach your destination, in the distance you see the ruins that they told you about ......"
Orst Tilboar
|
okay, Kaer Mags is underground and has to be reached through tunnels requiring guides both ways. Is there a market here for horses or do we get them topside? I can't remember if markets are up top too. If anyone needs supplies, magic, etc., probably want to get it now.
Fuzzfoot Hogan

It sounds like we have already found the ruins...

Not sure that was an arrival for us, it seemed more like a quote from a text of the info pointing at the Wyvern Mountains. Do I need stats for my new warhorse, Bongo?

In the mountain valley, sparse trees sprout from cracks in the steep cliffs, bending in the direction of the constant, howling wind. Piles of scree litter the ground at the base of the cliffs. In a hollow with a muddied brook, a hole in the mountainside opens up. It was clearly excavated recently-piles of soil and rock flank the opening. A perfectly square tunnel the height of an ogre cuts through worked stone, leading to a chamber beyond. Light from within reveals muddy tracks in the dust that coats the floor of the tunnel."
