I don't mind either way. Both seem interesting. If you go for five, i'd slightly prefer the sorceror for party balance reasons.


I have invited both nightdeath and Jeremiah Starstorm to give us a writing sample by tying their toons into the world with a rival and a friend or ally like I had all ya all do.
WHen they post it give me an opinion. I think it would be good to take both but that is the party's decision.

So we have another player that originally applied smooshiebannana but dropped out cuz he didn't want to have to much going and not be fair to all games. I vetted him last time and liked his submission as well. HE's going to throw something together and apply by tonight. That will give us 3 options to choose from. Haha, it's fine :) I can't deny that it does feel a tiny bit frustrating to suddenly be taken out by a surprise chain reaction of explosions - especially one that also directly kills the NPC's of both factions I'd been trying to talk into stopping the outside attack. But hey, it happens. When someone in the party attacks something we really aren't supposed to, it's to be expected that bad things will happen. (Good roleplaying though, I can see Krokkin being hot-blooded enough to have it make sense for him to do it).

I am wondering however what all the other camp members are doing? What happened to the lines of healers talked about or the other camp guards? Are they just watching this suddenly transformed imposter Ogre taskmaster, who had been rather publicly humilating and/or torturing them the day before, now openly start killing other members of the expedition? Is everyone still taking cover and has no one noticed the fight despite Sorogar yelling out to the bystanders for aid a turn ago?

On the recruitment, currently I can only see the writing example of the monk/cleric. Are there others we currently don't have access to? I can only see the sorceror's statblock atm.

You bring up really good observations Sorogar. I have always thought about how an enraged person would act when trying to make decisions. Couple that with Krokkin being young and it is a "testosterone disaster" once he gets going. Herk and I have talked in the past about emotional intelligence and in may cases it is well documented that when people get really upset or angry their IQ goes down. I am sure there is going to be a point where his rage is not going to get him thru and at that point I can have some fun developing him as a more seasoned fighter who is able to maintain a higher IQ when tapping into his rage.

I was completely shocked that my attack revealed a hidden threat to the party and to be honest Krokkin would have been scratching his head as to what to do when everyone is claiming that everyone else is a baddie.

I am hoping that if the fight turns any further south that the rest of the caravan is the Ace up the sleeve that will keep us from all being killed two days into the campaign.

Level up to 5th. You were never intended to have to fight the rakshasha until you had leveled atleast x2. He was 4 cr's above your apl. I was surprised you did as well as you did expecially with the firstil and the birds to deal with at the same time. WELL DONE!


I sent a private pm to each of you showing my preference and sorogars as well. Please weigh in sometime today.ANd yes I will disallow the one mentioned trait that is an ofshoot of finding haleen should they be chosen.

I've mostly finished up leveling Sorogar and Brujah to level 5. I think some level up features are better left open and discussed about a bit with the new members and Warren, though (such as which new spells to take).

If no one particularly minds, I might go a slightly different route than I originally planned and remain base shaman instead of heading into the Witch Doctor archetype at level 4. Looking over everything again, I think the features of it are fairly weak and that the party might be better served with other hexes, such as the cauldron one, where Sorogar can make discounted buffing and healing potions at her own caster level for everyone. Seems both more flavorful and more effective than a second weak channel pool of 1d6.


I've had along day. and still have a three hour drive ahead of me. I will post either tomorrow sometime when I get home or monday. It's been a heck of a week. I ran into my first hallucinating, delusional, psychotic client and the intensity was scary. THe joys of working in the mental health field.
I'm going to go ahead and invite the two sorcerers to join in as that seems to be the party consensus.

I will tailor my taken spells to reflect probably status changes, resistance buffs, and size modifier changes if that's good with everyone?

Sounds good. I'm doubting on whether or not to take communal protection from evil, myself (since its not a shaman spell, i'd have to buy access with a favored class bonus). It seems valuable since no one has rings of protectiom yet, for instance. But i know it's a sorceror spell as well. Are either of you taking this on your own?

If I'm going utility, communal spells will likely be taken. So yes, I'll take it.

Brek here would be mostly going for spells with explosions.
Though Spells with Fire would have some healing capability, it'll be mostly damage with Explosions. A good thing that I can choose to heal or damage targets based on the Bloodline power.

I may take some minor buffing and utility spells but I'll leave it to Ohime and our shaman since Sorcerer tend to have limited spells selection and I do like explosions!

Gives me a decent amount of Hitpoints.

Feel free to take a look at my spell list and see if there is something you wish I would change for the betterment of the party before we start.

I also know how you feel concerning that mental health patient. I've had to deal with a number of those myself.

May I know if the part is more into Monster slaying or building up a kingdom/town/trade route?

My feats and skills are somewhat flexible as I am looking towards Eldritch Heritage feat tree and an option to choose the wildblooded options instead.


Right now its more monster capture and/or fight monsters but you are looking for a place to establish a settlement

After much going back and forth, I think I've settled on Cautious Warrior. I was going to do a magical trait, a social trait, even a toss up between some equipment traits. In the end, I settled on this. I think this will reflect her shy nature with conflict.

If not directly attacking, her AC with mage armor could be a 21 (2dex+2kneel+1trait+2defensive+4magearmor) if kneeling on the defensive. That's not bad for a backliner with no armor.

@Everyone I'm slightly going to redo Sorogar's level 5 since we're still in the process of levelling from 3 to 5. I'll take one level of life oracle as her only dip moving foward, and slightly redo her skills so that she can craft potions better and make use of her cauldron hex.

I sleep at random times so my timezone doesn't matter. I am online at random times. I will be up at 4am or 10am in the morning and will continue on until 12am tonight. Somewhere in there I will find sleep. It really depends on my business and the demand going on, so I can't say I'll be online from x time to y time. I will check in quite frequently though.

Also @Herk, is there any chance you could include a few empty lines between the information in large posts such as the last three ones between the commander and the Fey? I like the content, but without line breaks it's a bit like a wall of text and hard to read. To me, at least.

Any imput is appreciated. At face value, the wands of cure moderate wounds, cure critical wounds, bear's strength, acid wand and bear's endurance stand out to me.
