Sorogar won't even have to roll to use it, as it is on her spell list (oracles use the cleric spell list). If you wanted to, I could attempt it, but it would be a UMD DC 25 to decipher it and a DC 22 (as she doesn't have an 11 WIS so +1 to the DC) to activate it. It's about a 40-50% chance, but it'd be easier if she uses it.

On a side note, the ptolus campaign I believe is dead. Bummer I was hoping to play for a bit with it. Dm an players are slow to answer anything if they do and there is only 1 other player, consistently posting as well. I'm frustrated with it I was really looking forward to the minotaur transmuter.
ANyone else know a game that is recruiting? I need the challenge of playing not just dming.
No i don't plan and stopping this one.

If you are looking for any campaign, you can feel free to message the GMs for:
The Bell Tolls Slowly in the Dark Daily posting required (Slower Posting Currently)
or
Volcano's Land - Unknown Depths Daily posting required (Slower Posting Currently) There was a character named Oak who ghosted the game and since the GM has been playing it. You could take this over most likely.
While GM Wolf's game, I think, is currently full, he may also accommodate you in this one if not one of his others:
Crimson Knights of the Black Blade Daily posting Required (at least)

I would say we cast the spell in the tent and then walk out and get a headcount of how many are in the camp so we can verify how many we need to send through to the "bridge" group and how many we need to send in the other.
Brek of Unknown House
GM wolf might have space in his games but do take note that his games can sometimes explode in posts. :P
Ohimè S’adel
Yeah, I don't understand that myself. There is always interaction you can do. It's fine. it's up to Raven to let you in or not. :)
As far as for orders of operations for this game, are we doing:
1. Ohime and Sorogar make a mixture to enhance Krokkin's scent ability
2. Ohime makes a delicious meal and has everyone in camp come eat
3. Sorogar uses scroll and detects how many shapechangers are in the camp while Brek gathers the camp to announce the plan of what is going to happen with the sorting.
4. Brek's filters slow down their influx into the tent by getting information about who is who (to send them in one at a time).
5. Krokkin sorts them based on what he is smelling.
6. Krokkin and Mosley take them out with the others quietly and quickly.
7. Rinse repeat

I estimate i can post around 2-3 hours from now. Cant until then.
Krokkin
I didnt realize how difficult this would be to check over the group to find imposters and not make a ton of posts. Hopefully this will work. If I need to do something different please let me know.
Ohimè S’adel
We actually didn’t torture him at all. Ohime got the information through calm conversation.
Ohimè S’adel
That sucks that after all that, some still got away :(
Krokkin
in all reality capturing as many as we did is awesome. It was a good plan and we still have captain crabby pants right?
Ohimè S’adel
No point in keeping him around now lol.

Well done I wasn't sure how that was going to play out initially and how if any follow up you do.
Sorogar Twintusk
First, good roleplaying all! Btw, Krokkin, you're not actually annoyed by your role in this plan ooc, are you? just to check!
Second... i'm sort of struggling to come up with a reason not to kill the rakshasha leader and perhaps even all the prisoners. It's clear from what we know of them that these guys are dangerous tyrants who can shapeshift into anyone/anything else at will and will probably come back to attack us if we let them go. There already was one stealth attack somewhere in the last day where the camp captain almost got killed.
Would a reasonably intelligent good character let them go, knowing this, and how much damage they can cause to the camp followers? It it worth the risk to let them go with some warning, hopefully to get some better relation with their tribe?
Alternatively, do we risk keeping them prisoner and trading their lives to their tribe for something? What if the two who escaped managed to come back to free then?
I find this a bit hard to answer, ooc. What are your thoughts?
Ohimè S’adel
I think it boils down to:
1) We don't know who is a slave and who isn't.
2) We have no jail to put them in.
Ohime seeks to preserve life. If she could, she'd let them all go on that basis alone, however, she is also neutral aligned. She understands that the law deems they all be punished by jail or death. Her chaotic side would deem that the slaves be let go as they were forced to kill. Therefore, those who are not slaves should be killed/imprisoned, and those who are slaves be set free. This viewpoint will preserve the most life, the most direct law, and the most righteous law. That is my take on it as Ohime.
Now, everyone thinks differently. For example sake, let's say you all thought like Ohime. Since we cannot discern who is a slave and who is not, currently, that should be our effort. Reinterrogate the Rakshasa to find out what the location they mentioned is, and ask how we can tell who is a slave and who is not. Perhaps this can be done by commanding all of the shapechangers to take their pure form. Then perhaps we can discern a physical mark since we cannot discern a mental one currently.
As for the other ones, as I said, we have no jail. Every step we take increases our inability to survive with them attacking us. However, with proper precautions, they can only attack us directly. With a roll call and secret signs that change, we should avoid infiltration now as we know who is loyal and who isn't. It is clear, that like with the caged Rakshasa, when breathed threats and Krokkin attacked him, they intend to rendezvous and attack us. This was revealed as the leader and the healer fled. This indicates a clear threat of continuance. Therefore, the remaining non-slaves should die. If that didn't happen, she believes even they could have been spared. As it is, in Ohime's mind, she'd give the lot of non-slaves to Krokkin to tear apart because of that comment.
Sorogar Twintusk
Quick question, did they say that some of the Rakshasha were slaves themselves ? I can only recall them saying they had enslaved the ogre tribes.
Brek of Unknown House
Let me check my current Char alignment.

Brek says;
Get all the information we need. He's danger and his kind too.
Cut them off and leave none to live to preserve the camp. They have already shown that they have no mercy.
Should they show willingness to come to the negotiation table, alright then. It's being mentioned that there are several tribes and of different types too. Stands to reason that some maybe more open to talks then others. Some may need a show of strength and others just need to be removed...permanently.
Krokkin
First, good roleplaying all! Btw, Krokkin, you're not actually annoyed by your role in this plan ooc, are you? just to check!
Not at all. I thought the plan was great but from the perspective of Krokkins mind set he would think it sucked but at the same time be relieved that he would not have to fight each one of them since just the one almost bested the entire team.
I am loving the dynamic that is being created with the team. Krokkin has to learn how to work with others and let them lead. He wants to be calling the shots and leading the charge. It will take a little bit of time but he will come to understand his place.
Krokkin
I did not read the discussion prior to posting so I hope that it still works in the narrative.
Sorogar Twintusk
Sorogar Twintusk wrote:Quick question, did they say that some of the Rakshasha were slaves themselves ? I can only recall them saying they had enslaved the ogre tribes. The rakshasha are not slaves. They brought a contingent of slaves of lesser races with them.
So to clarify, these guys are all Raskshasha and the 'lesser races' they brought with them are creatures that are not Rakshasha? Or are there different tribes of Rakshasha of which some are slaves and others are slavers?
I think we're currently assuming the second one is true in that some of these Rakshasha are slaves, but i'm worried that might not be correct.
Sorogar Twintusk
@Krokkin Okay, nice. That's a relief :) I like the overall team dynamic as well.
@Everyone Well, if none of these rakshasha's are slaves, then there's no reason to spare any of them on account of them being slaves.
Ohimè S’adel
Sounds good to me!
Ohimè S’adel
Ohime, as I mentioned, is committed to taking them out. What everyone else does, I haven't heard.
Brek of Unknown House
Interogate.
Get information on all their different tribes, alliances, rivalries and goals.
If we can get them to reveal how they identify themselves among the other shifters, it'll be great.
Who or what is "Bremilkan" and who are the ones who escaped.
Then.
Remove them from this plane of existence. Brek can do it. He's somehwat trained in it....
Sorogar Twintusk
I might not be able to post today. I would agree with brek to find out what we can about them and then killing them. I think that even Sorogar would see that these creatures are too dangerous to keep alive. Not after what they did.
Herkymr the Silly
Soragar no worries about posting take care of what you need to.
Mosely, how do you weigh in on the matter of the shifters?
Krokkin?
I usually would move on in most instance but because this is of an alignment possible effecting decision I want all to weigh in before moving on. I've had a GM do something similar and then move on and it was against my alignment/ morals and I felt like it 1)wasn't fair and 2)created a rift roleplay wise among our team which we were never really able to work through. I don't want that to happen here if we can avoid it.
Mosely Terrahap
From Mosely's perspective the business of finding and removing the rakshasas is basically spy hunting and intel-gathering. Any spies that we find are too dangerous for us to try to keep captive, since we don't have magic to safely contain them or the resources to try to rehabilitate them (if that's even possible). Thus we are pushed into the unfortunate position of having to consider executing them.
Krokkin
Krokkin showed his feelings on the subject initially and stands by them. These are dishonorable foes who should be put down as they have shown that they want to destroy the camp. He almost wants to participate in the process but will not advocate for that right.
Ohimè S’adel
I will take a potion of cure mod and an emerald.
Brek of Unknown House
I'll post later to show Brek's ermm more ruthless traininng and may or may not need to liberally borrow some trollovs or without.
As for Loot, I'll take my pick from what's left over or have them converted to GP value..
Herkymr the Silly
Remaing loot
mithril short sword
5 potions of bull's strength
2 potions of cure mod
1 emeralds cut into the shape of falcon heads and set in silver necklaces. {gp value 300 roughly for the gems}
Potion of aid
Potion of barkskin
two sets of fine chainmail {medium}
composite +1 longbow
2 healers kits
Mosely= I gave you a cure mod and a bull's strength. Commander said 2 items

I should have specified more clearly what a couple is. Sorry for the confusion
Sorogar Twintusk
Guess I'll take the mythril swordsword for mosely, or otherwise simply for having a silver weapon in the group. Also worth more than the jewels.
Sorogar will pick the longbow and gift it to Krokkin for his service.
None of these items are particularly useful to Sorogar, and she already had three wands from the last pile of loot (Bull's strength, bear's endurance and cure critical wounds).
Brek of Unknown House
Barkskin and Aid for me then if no one else is claiming it.
Krokkin
I will take the a chainmail and a bull strength

THIS HAS NO GAME CONNECTION TO THIS GAME
I just posted this in the ptolus game i am attempting to play in....Does it sound fair? Just want another opinion or two please.
Just stating how I am feeling right now about game. NO passive agressive intended if it comes off that way.
I feel that there is not enough posting from other players and a disconnect to the posting by the DM. I was under the impression that this was a daily post game but lately i have seen a couple of days go by with no one posting but me and occasionally Maicoh. This is a frustration to me and I am considering dropping game for one that is more consistent. I dm one and was told by several players that LIZZETTE ie daniel stewart usually makes a character then ghosts out. It appears this has happened again. Can we all do better at posting more frequently? My interest in the game is still peaked at this point especially with the setting.
Thanks for letting me have my say and express my concerns.
I just feel like there is so much more potential for character building but that I can't do it all by myself but am not having much luck engaging the others. I have pm'd each player to see if I can help with anything to develop between our toons but they have fallen on deaf ears as well. The Dm posts are very minimal in information and make it hard to judge what liberty we have in game as well.
Just wanted another opinion or two to see if what I am doing and posted are reasonable.
Thanks for letting me vent here as well.
