1. Please post at least once a day. If you are absent for 24 hours I'll send you a PM. If you're missing for 36 hours I'll mark you inactive and your Player Character will simply delay - that's not fun!
2. Under your name, please add a stat block, so I can quickly find your stats and keep the game moving. You can edit your character's Race, Class/Levels and Gender fields to include information such as:
- Hit Points
- AC
- Saving Throws
- Perception Bonus
3. What about Secret Rolls? PFS 2nd ed has a lot of secret rolls the GM is supposed to make for the players, so the PCs can't react to a bad roll. If I give you the DC, feel free to make the roll openly. Otherwise, there are 2 ways to do this in my games:
- You can say which skill and which bonus you want to apply. (Example: "I use Occultism +5 to investigate the skull's mystic origin.")
- Or you spoiler your dice roll and everyone sticks to the honor system of not opening it.

Howdy. If you're a member of one of my games, then here are a few rules I'd like you to follow:

If you haven't added Pathfinder specific equipment, I suggest you look at the PFS 2 Society rules, in particular the Pathfinder Training section.
Once you have you character, please post this information:
Player name: (you, the person on Earth)
Character name: (the PC you are playing in Golarion)
XP:
Class:
Money: (usually written in GP)
Leveling Speed: (Normal or Slow?)
Hangust - |
Player name: Xynen
Character name: Hangust
XP: 0
Class: Barbarian
Money: 9g
Leveling Speed: Normal
PFS # - Character 186188-2002
Just a clarification from my notes on the sign-up sheet. This is my first time with 2e, but not my first pbp or pfs.

GM: Since we haven't officially started yet, I GMed a game and had no where to apply the credit so had to apply it to this guy. So now he officially starts with 4 XP. Since I GMed I earned 14 GP +4SP from bartending for a total 22GP, 8Sp. I'm not going buy anything before this game starts.

Hello Olexbu. Come on in and join the fun. The gameplay thread has some introductory posts. Check the 1-01 slides in my header and on top of the thread and see if you can move your icon.
Also, I need your PFS number.
Team, feel free to rearrange yourselves in marching order on the slides.

Sweet. And that's everyone.
Rosette, once your character is done please post all of the needed info:
Player name: (you, the person on Earth)
Character name: (the PC you are playing in Golarion)
XP:
Class:
Money: (usually written in GP)
Leveling Speed: (Normal or Slow?)
PFS#: (usually ends with a -20XX)

Naderi grants Soothe as a cleric spell, which Aleksandr prepares with both slots unless there is some reason otherwise.
The reason I do this is because soothe doesn't have the positive trait (it is mental), thus it will work on myself as well as the rest of the party where as harm can heal me, but only be used as an attack spell otherwise.

Hey! I didn’t know that. Pretty slick. As you can probably tell I’ve been burned by being in groups with no healing. Or worse yet, clerics who can heal but refuse to :eye roll: Anyway, I appreciate the thought to the rest of the party.

If it helps, I have been in a game (for this scenario) where the only healers were my bard and a sorcerer who both took Soothe. It was close, but we did make it.
Don't forget to take your free healing potions from your Pathfinder Training if you follow any of the PFS schools. They will come in handy.

Wow! Lots of posts already. I'll try to catch up.
My mom is bluedove, a PFS GM. She is helping me with my character and posting but this is my first 2nd edition and Play by Post character. I might need some help along the way.
Thanks for your patience!

Hey Paulie.
So, the team split up into three groups but the scenario gives every player a chance to make the check. So assume Hangust and Olexbu brought you to Captain Benarry, got you up to speed and you can entertain Zarta if you wish.
Your story was good enough for Gorm Greathammer, I just want to resolve one of these meetings before I move on.
Hangust - |
Out of curiosity DM, after our checks with Fola and Gorm we received an item. Did we get anything from Benarry that I might have missed, or did we fail with her?
Re: Magic items, I'm always fond of more healing at lower levels personally.
Hangust - |
Cool, just making sure. Im surprised a first level check like that would be in the mid 20's but I'm not too familiar with 2e yet so maybe that's normal.
Hangust - |
Do we have a map of Absalom? Is it the same one as from 1st Edition? Just trying to see if there's maybe a reasonable path to take from mission to mission.
GM chadius |
You can always try Intimidate or attempt to aid a check. If you memorized Guidance that may also be a good spell to cast here.
The good/bad news is that I didn't add the additional challenges for having a large party size. But I've already set up the challenge, so it works in your favor.
Paulie Tribulani |
I’ll give it to Paulie. He did a solid job RP’ing his arguments.
Aw, thanks! I nominate Olexbu, for having a good, solid grasp of his character that he seems to role-play consistently. Doesn't break character with a personality that I would find hard to play.

Thanks! I definitely couldn't do it anywhere but online, though! Remodulating my voice and tone are not things I can do in real life.
Anyway, my vote goes to Aleksandr. I'm working on a dhampir character who's been around for a while (more so than our friend) and I like how he acts and talks a bit behind the times. Keeping that up takes some effort.

1. Alexsandr 2. Dreadfang 3. Olexbu 4. Paulie 5. Rosette
1d5 ⇒ 5
Rosette it is! I really like everyone's characters so there's no way I was going to be able to make that choice on my own.
