Day Job:
I will try to post at least once each weekday and once each weekend, but may post more as life allows or as is needed, like if a combat is moving quickly or there's a lot of back and forth with an NPC. Let me know if you expect to be absent for more than a day or so, and I'll do the same.
We won't be getting started right away because we'll still need to fill some empty spots, but hopefully will be ready this weekend. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks for bearing with me, still waiting for folks to report in.
Zahira: I actually did a double-take at your character number when I was typing it in, lol
Yates Ashkoont
|
I'm asking to make sure I can replay (as the option isn't showing on my boons screen yet) but I'd love to play this with Yates if I can.

Zahira: I actually did a double-take at your character number when I was typing it in, lol
Why?
Yates Ashkoont
|
Okay figured out the system. Seems there's no way to properly redeem hem now and we have to keep track ourselves but I have 5 possible replays so I'll use one here.

Would it unbalance things completely fit me to bring a level 4? The game I was going to play with my Ratfolk just fell through and I really enjoying playing him atm... (natural attack alchemist rogue btw, so still a melee striker)

Never seen a character number higher than 10, is all.
Magellia: that should be fine.

Okay, so with one more level 4 character coming in, that still leaves the APL at less than 2.5, so we will be playing with the Tier 1-2 adjustments. The link for the slides is up at the top of the page, so go ahead and put your preferred token image up on slide 2. If you want to use an image other than your forums avatar, feel free!

Hello GM, I believe we have an APL of 2.66 as Tatterdemalion is level 3 and not 1 if I am not mistaken.
So we are rounding to APL 3 and as we have a level 4 PC we must play high tier with 4 player adjustment I believe?
| GM Losonti |
Oh, you're right, I read what Eòshli wrote in the post rather than looking at the sheet. Thank you for catching that. We will indeed be playing the 4-5 scenario with the 4 player adjustment.
Yates Ashkoont
|
Cool! That sounds like fun. Yates will be okay for the most part, I think. Let's see how this goes!
| GM Losonti |
@Gillie: If you can post your PFS details in here that would be appreciated.
Looks like we've got everyone, so we'll go ahead and get started!
Also, since it looks like Gillie is actually level 3 instead of level 4, that puts the APL at 2.5. The decision of whether to round up or down is up to the players. The adjustment doesn't make a difference for this opening conversation but I will need a decision before we can move on.

I am very sorry but I have to drop out. :-( I was just reminded that this character is scheduled to play in a face to face game and I have no other available character in tier at the moment. :-(
I wish you a great game!
| philipjcormier |
I have numerous to choose from:
4L: Amerel (un-rogue); Andy Applebottom (bard)
3L: Thorur Grundur (warpriest); Salvadore Mattero (Wizard(Evoker))
2L: Kam Yuen (PyroKineticist); Oded Fardeth (cleric); Vladamir Dufau (sorcerer(Wildblooded:Sage)).
Looking at the party so far I am thinking Thorur might be best, but I like playing them all. Any opinions?

Dwarf! Dwarf! And Grumpy Dwarf-Dwarf at the looks of it!
Welcome Thorur/philipjcormier, glad to have you at the table!
| GM Losonti |
No worries! This does still leave us with the APL of 2.5. Do folks want to go for the lower subtier for 6 players or the higher subtier with a 4-player adjustment?
Yates Ashkoont
|
Wait I think we're back into the 2.66 APL, with losing a level 3 and gaining a different level 3. Though this could be a difficult scenario to try doing at high levels if we don't have a good spread of abilities.
| GM Losonti |
So we've got the following:
Bard 2
Witch 3
Mesmerist 2
Occultist 2
Warpriest 3
Rogue 1/Mesmerist 2
That adds up to 15, which divided by 6 is 2.5.
Gillie, please post your PFS #, including character number, along with your faction and day job roll (if any). Thank you.

Sorry I didn't get in quicker but I haven't updated Gillie's tagline (he only just leveled up) He IS level 4

Jeremy A
GL13 "Gillie"
# 228375-5
Dark Archive
Dayjob - Craft Alchemy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
| GM Losonti |
No worries. Then we are definitely doing the higher subtier with the 4-player adjustments.
| GM Losonti |
1) Holy symbols are not allowed.
2) Absolutely. While the opening ceremony is tonight, the race itself does not actually begin until tomorrow morning.
Addendum: It is possible to try to hide a small item (which could include a holy symbol, spell component pouch, or similar item) in your clothes, but there will likely be consequences if you are caught.
GL13 "Gillie"
|
If this is a major city you might be able to find someone to tattoo your holy symbol onto your skin
Yes that is a mechanical thing btw
Gillie is pretty good at slight of hand and has a pathfinders pouch btw.
| GM Losonti |
Both are great options! A holy symbol tattoo will cost 100gp but unless you follow an incredibly obscure deity I doubt you'd have any trouble finding someone able to give you one.
Thorur Grundur
|
I am a Warpriest of Trudd, (son of Torag), so not obscure.
I only needed to change out a Cantrip: Light for Spark.
Should I deduct the 100 GP from my sheet or will you deduct on the Chronicle.
I would like to get it inscribed on my left palm.
| GM Losonti |
You'll want to put in on your Inventory Tracking Sheet and also on the Chronicle sheet after the scenario is over.
Thorur Grundur
|
I ment do you want me to deduct the cost now or will you deduct it from total money gained on the Chronicle sheet.
Zahira Nefritovvy
|
So we've got the following:
Bard 2
Witch 3
Mesmerist 2
Occultist 2
Warpriest 3
Rogue 1/Mesmerist 2
Please; "Psychic Warrior" ;).
I'll join Gameplay as soon as I can; I just got a nasty scare.

Question, I can't seem to find any ruling on this one way or another, but could Yates use parts of the clothing provided to him for an implement?
At 1st level, an occultist learns to use two implement schools. At 2nd level and every 4 occultist levels thereafter, the occultist learns to use one additional implement school, to a maximum of seven schools at 18th level. Each implement school adds one spell per spell level of that school of magic to the occultist’s spell list. No spells from any other school are considered to be on the occultist’s spell list until he selects the associated implement school. He can’t use spell trigger or spell completion magic items from unknown schools without succeeding at the appropriate Use Magic Device check. An occultist can select an implement school more than once in order to learn additional spells from the associated school.
Each implement school is represented by a small list of objects. Every day, the occultist selects one item from that school’s list to be his implement for the day for each implement school he knows. The occultist needs only one such item to cast spells of the corresponding school, unless he selected that implement school multiple times, in which case he needs one item for each set of spells gained from that school. Implements don’t need to be magic items, and nonmagical implements don’t take up a magic item slot even if they’re worn. Implements that are not magic items are often of some historical value or of personal significance to the occultist, such as the finger bone of a saint, the broken scepter of a long-dead king, the skull of a mentor’s familiar, or the glass eye of an uncanny ancestor.
Emphasis mine
The rules says he has to select from a limited list of items, and transformation includes sandals or vests as options. However it later states that magic items or items of some historical or personal value are most common to use, however it doesn't seem to prevent him from using a regular pair of sandals or vest.
| GM Losonti |
That's a really good question. Because of the nature of the competition and its significance to the cultural identity of Sargava, I'm going to say that the race outfits will work.
GL13 "Gillie"
|
I'm just going to leave this here Hidden Blades (can be made as an oil)
Yates Ashkoont
|
Yates can't make nor make use of that! He has no weapons or ammunition on him. He'd like to take his compass (and the pickle extractor, but that can stay if need be), as it allows him to cast Create Water as well as Desperate Weapon if there's nothing nearby that can work for an improvised weapon.
GL13 "Gillie"
|
I’m going to be using oil of invisibility on my pathfinders pouch so there’s enough space for you take plenty of stuff.
My sleigh of hand will be 1d20+30+1d6 :p should be enough

VERY sorry for being so late; first I got derailed, then I just dithered.
Part of the problem, truth be told, has been my uncertainty over this particular character's future; this is my last chance to do the whole Mr. Potato-Head thing with her...
Khāṇa Tsogtsos
|
...HOWEVER, that doesn't matter as much as I thought, because given what we now know about the adventure, I would definitely like to switch to a different character I had been previously considering!
Player: I'm Hiding In Your Closet
Character: Khāṇa Tsogtsos
PFS #: 40025-19
Faction: Exchange
Advancement Speed: Standard
Day Job: Profession (Gambler), Expanded Inspiration, using my basic roll from before if that's alright: 15 + 9 + 1d6 ⇒ 15 + 9 + (4) = 28
GL13 "Gillie"

I feel worried that sneaking all this gear in will take the teeth out of this scenario a little... Oops
