Hey everyone, I won't be able to write up anything terribly substantial for you until much later today, but assuming you've decided what to smuggle into the race, I will get us to the opening ceremony at that time. You'll get a chance to brag about your team, so think of something good. :)

Do note, only the first roll for the team bragging counts so we should leave it to someone who can do a good job (my other character who did this got up, gave an AMAZING speech and rolled well, but was second so it didn't count, which sucked.)

I do happen to have perform, oratory, at a +7 bonus. If a few of you could aid me, that would be great! I see myself as the ugly naked guy in Knight's tale. Love that movie.

Ahhh, I've only played two before with Yates (he has a boon that let him start at level 2) but I'd say it was probably the Library of the Lion, where he got to research things to his heart's content and find a magical lion as well.

(3): Ape-men at Azlant Ridge.

            A few things Khāṇa's faced:
- a raging minotaur
- mystical caverns
- secret troves of forgotten lore
- a fortress full of goblins
- servants of the Whispering Tyrant
- haunted forests
- a village full of mutants
- a possessed doll
- an insane shadow-monster
- a forgotten Druidic abomination
- slavers in the heart of Andoran

The actual race will get started tomorrow, but here are the rules for it!
Every day is divided into 2 phases of 4 hours each. Each person has a base progress rate of your speed divided by 10 (so an unarmored human would have a progress rate of 3, while a dwarf would be 2). Your speed can be enhanced through magic, provided that the bonus would apply for the entire 4 hour phase (so longstrider could work, but fly couldn't). You can use multiple castings of spells as long as, again, they cover that entire period, and each casting lasts at least one hour. The group's base progress is limited to the slowest speed of any members, though you should still calculate your personal progress separately (more on why in a minute).
Slide 7 has a map of the course. I'l mark your position on that map with the glyph of the open road. You start in that tile and can take any route you like to the finish line, with the exception that you must cross the swamp tile to finish the race.
Each terrain type has a progress threshold that the group needs to meet in order to cross it, along with the max number of advantages you can get per phase in that terrain.
Hills (Progress 3, Advantages 3)
Jungle (Progress 8, Advantages 8)
Mountains (Progress 6, Advantages 6)
Plains (Progress 2, Advantages 0)
Swamp (Progress 4, Advantages 3)
Advantages are actions that each team member may make during a phase. Gaining an advantage increases the group's progress for the phase by 1. Attempting and failing by 4 or less reduces that person's personal progress by 1. If your personal progress is higher than the slowest member of the group, then failing an attempt may not actually slow the group down. Failing by 5 or more does reduce the group's progress by 1, however.
Slide 8 has a handout with a list of advantages and the associated skills.

@DM, would you mind putting a copy of the "Maps and Handouts" link in your profile for more convenient access?
Also, it says the list of Advantages are only some of what's possible; does that mean we get to think up our own creative applications of our abilities?

Unnatural
Source Advanced Race Guide pg. 151
Some ratfolk unnerve normal animals, and train to defend themselves against the inevitable attacks from such creatures. These ratfolk take a –4 penalty on all Charisma-based skill checks to affect creatures of the animal type, and receive a +2 dodge bonus to AC against animals. An animal’s starting attitude toward ratfolk is one step worse than normal. This racial trait replaces rodent empathy.

In the interest of keeping things moving, if I do not have a turn from Gillie posted by 8pm my time (about 7 hours from now), I will delay them to the next initiative block with Yates and Eoshli.

Thorur, I just want to clarify that you are starting in a square threatened by two enemies, so both your casting and your movement will provoke from both of them. Are you sure that's what you want to do?

Gillie's first attack downed Green, so I went and stepped him next to Red for the rest of his attacks.
Yates's blow sends his target reeling, and into a perfect position for a brutal slash of Gillie's claw that tears its throat out. A storm of claws and teeth, he shreds the next closest amphiptere to ribbons, leaving only one enemy left fighting.
Bolded characters are up! That turned around quickly!
Gillie is built to put out a lot of damage :D and not get hit much.
His build is based on the songbird of death style thing though I’ve toned it down in favour of flavour, hence the three arms :pTraditionally you go swashbuckler but I wanted the extra arm for silliness (was originally going to go for 2 extra to impersonate Stitch but that cost too much functionality.
He was near unplayable till I got the agile amulet of mighty fists though...

Thorur, you can designate it to any target you can see that is within the spell's range. 5e puts a limit on how far it can move in a round but fortunately we are not playing that one. :)

It would be really good if you could indicate that fallen monsters on the map have done so. There are a number of ways to do that, including but not limited to converting them to negative colors, marking them with appropriate symbols, or just taking them off the board (I mean, is somebody going to come heal these things???).
