Hey boss, Muzzo is still finishing up a quest (should be done by Monday. Would you rather I bring another level 1 character (warpriest or rogue), or bow out and let someone else join?

Something like this? That's part of the tweaking I did. I uploaded all the card images to Google Photos and them made a sheet-based database of them that I can import into any other sheet.

Each character folio has a hidden sheet where I just have to enter the formula:

This way if I add a new or updated card to the master list, the character folios will be updated the next time they are opened.

Yup, that is exactly what I did and then just used VLookup based off of that. So as long as my drop down matches a name it will pull it from there.

@Silbeg, I mainly put it up there so if folks wanted to make a copy of it they could and use it as well. Ever since Starfinder I have a hard time tracking all of the boons and slots for each game. Wanted an easier method.

GM Tyranius, wouldn't the bump only be if the adventure doesn't have the CP adjustments in the encounter? These are usually in the sidebar of the appendix with the encounter... like...

for every 2 challenge points over 8, add one critter to the fight

From my understanding yes you can copy each other’s spells over as long as you spend the time by completing your roll followed by the amount of gold for the cost.

Since all NPCs are unique now, I don’t know where the source of my observation comes from (rules, mistake, or mercy), but did the Orange ruffian have enough actions to make that second attack on the cat? Just checking. I don’t need an explanation. :)

An animal companion cannot support and strike in the same turn.

Hmm. I see that is true, although counter to unofficial advice from developers who must have forgotten that rule way back around last GenCon. That does make the cat's support less useful.

Not so much, it is just depends on the circumstance. For the cat it is good if you have an enemy that is hard to hit. Then you can make it a little easier. Some supports are a little better than others.

Will help rogues get their sneak attack damage in easier as well as be able to set off a few other abilities.

Last Gencon I think they were still messing with Playtest rules.

Compared to bear's it's not as good for a combat druid. What's rough is you've got to hit the enemy yourself to gain the benefit, so if they're hard to hit, you're better off with making more rolls. A ranger would do better hitting than a druid.

I like Bird's support's flavor. Snake is a useful defensive support.

But I'm stuck with the jaguar. It's tied into his character now. :)

True. yea the birds one is awesome. Unfortunately for flying animal companions you are forced to spend one of their actions to maintain flying. Or you plummet to the ground.

Haven't looked up the snake yet, I will have to do that.

Edit: just looked up the snake. Definitely would have been handy in this quest! All of those AoO would have been negated.

Drakmak is my MVP with those grim tendrils.
