Chulyin glances back at Sirius as the vitality and vigor returns to his jaguar and nods in appreciation. Returning his attention to the desperate battle, he growls, "Foil him!"

The jaguar begins to dart around the (purple) ruffian's legs. While the man's attention is on the jaguar, Chulyin swings his staff at his back. Once the primalist's staff strikes, the jaguar snaps at the man's soft parts.

Staff: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 If it hits, Purple is Flat-footed until the end of my next turn. EDIT: Well, OK then.

Bite: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
P: 1d6 + 2 + 1d4 ⇒ (6) + 2 + (4) = 12 Sneak attack vs. Flat-footed targets

Reading this, I am not 100% sure of whether his splash should be up by one as well with the Burn It! feat. Guessing not, but will take advice

The way I am reading Burn it, it seems like it would apply to the initial damage and persistent damage but not the splash portion.

@Dr. bright- All good. Either way it was a big heal.

Drakmak moves further up the alleyway. His grim and dark shadow tendrils continue to slice into the ruffians.

Orange Fort Save DC 16: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
Purple Fort Save DC 16: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23

Dr. Bright steps back, sending a bit of healing into the Jaguar as it's bleeding immediately ceases.

Heyou! coats the wounded ruffian once again in flames. The terrified man looks like he is ready to flee. Turning to help Mikaela the small goblin splashes a bit of fire against the ground as it burns another ruffian's feet.

Marta's scroll burns to ash in her hands as a trio of magical missile leap from the paper at the man wielding the sling. They crack several ribs in the process. Mikaela, knowing her life is on the line smashes her baton into the man's gut, knocking the wind from him. The thugs begin to look scared for once as their advantage begins to fade.

Chulyin's staff comes from down low, cracking into the ruffian's chin and nose. It lifts him from his feet as he falls flat on his back, bleeding out further. This surprise blow quickly takes him out of the fight.

Chulyin and the jaguar keep on the advantage and quickly surround the ruffian chasing after Drakmak.

@Chulyin- If you use the support action with your animal companion you cannot attack with it that turn.Support Action

The two ruffians to the east drop their weapons. Beaten, battered and bruised they flee around the corners for safety. "Let's get out of here!"

Only one ruffian remains, holding his ground. "Not yet, I got this one."

The club snaps into Drakmak's neck. He falls to the side, hitting his head on the side of the building as he falls unconscious.

Hearing that one of them is still fighting, Marta strides into the open. She throws another spell attempting to overwhelm the ruffian's mind with mental static.

Daze - 4 mental damage (basic Will DC 17; stunned 1 on crit fail)

The goblin healer rushes around the corner, from where he heard the sickening thud of a club on a neck. He sees Drakmak on the ground, and immediately starts applying his salves and poultices to the dying half-orc.

"There, there, Drakmak. You be better now. Ok?"

He then turns to the thug, and growls.

Mikaela might have been content to let them run away...but not now. That one in orange decided for them as he attacked Drakmak after his friends scarpered off. She ran around the shop, pincering the man in place, then slammed her baton into his face, aiming for his nose and the cheekbone under his left eye.

Drakmak's eyes open and he rubs them with the knuckles of his hands, before blinking. He hears Heyou's voice asking a question, though his brain is having trouble making sense of the whole thing. He sees a ruffian surrounded by his companions, as he remembers the man just hit him to the ground. Turning his head a large cat and druid, cut off the exit one way and a weapon smacks into the ruffian from Mikaela. The wizard smiles, before he looks up at the scoundrel and says, "You don't have to die, you can drop your weapon and surrender. You are surrounded, think on these words. Be quick to drop your weapons, no amount of payment is worth your death. You can work for me instead."

Chulyin points at the remaining ruffian and snaps his fingers. While the jaguar leaps forward and snaps at the remaining Patari, the Sarkorian calls down lightning from the sky, "Titim tintreach."

Electric (Basic Reflex vs. DC 18): 2d4 + 3 ⇒ (1, 3) + 3 = 7

Sirius moves and casts Bless, which affects both Chulyin and the jaquar.

Dr. Bright moves into a better position as he begins to bless the kitty and its companion. Heyou rushes to Drakmak's side dripping some salve onto his wound. This seems to do the trick as Drakmak's eyes reopen.

Marta begins to muddle the man's mind as his thoughts turn fuzzy.

Will Save DC 17: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Fuzzy brained Mikaela rounds the corner, cracking her baton into the man's cheekbone as she gets revenge. The jaguar leaps onto his back, the sharp claws raking through his shirt as electricty coarses through his body.

Reflex Save DC 18: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16

He collapses t the ground in a smoldering heap. Onlau seems somewhat shaken by the violence he just witnessed. He tries to compose himself and remain professional as his shaking hands retrieve the documents you requested. "H..here you go."

Mikaela could feel the sticky blood splattered down her face and the front of her clothes, and knew she must look a sight. Sighing, she pulled the now-ruined orange and blue scarves off and wiped her face and armor down as much as she could.

"Onlau, thank you for your time. I am sorry that these ruffians brought violence to this place, and even sorrier that this disagreement has impacted you in any way. Please, rest assured that the Pathfinder Society will straighten everything out and conclude this issue to the betterment of all."

"I think...I think I am going to sit down now."

Mikaela's legs collapsed under her as the shock and trauma of the last few moments caught up with her. Magical healing worked great on the physical hurts, but the brain wasn't used to being beaten half to death repeatedly in less than a minute, and the headache. Ugh, why didn't the healing spells remove the headache?

Unless the quest necessitates their death if we do not use non-lethal attacks...

Chulyin turns back to the first of the Patari to fall (purple) and invokes primal words of soothing. He then turns to the last to fall (orange) and repeats the invocation.

Stabilize

Dr Bright also makes sure that the ruffians don't die with his own stabilize spells, then turns to deal with the wounds that his companions suffered, checking what Heyou! did, starting with Mikaela.

Good work Heyou!. You've got the makings of a great doctor in you. he says.

Drakmak gets up gingerly, struggling to his feet, rubbing his head he croaks, "I didn't like that, not at all." To Onlau he asks, "Have they been troubling you before? I am like you a man of peace, if we can be of service to you, I am sure we can oblige. Have others been interested in these papers, enough to put pressure on your humble shoulders?"

”Thank you, Doctor Serious. You not so bad yourself!”

Heyou! starts getting out his med kit, ready to heal those that are still hurt, starting with himself.

While Drakmak talks to the clerk, Chulyin begin bandaging is wounds. ”Hold still,” he instructs.

Medicine (E) (Treat Wounds, DC 15): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27
Healing: 4d8 ⇒ (5, 6, 8, 5) = 24

Drakmak is only bolstered vs Treat Wounds for 10 minutes, not that I expect it matters.

The ruffian seems to barely cling to life, though he doesn't regain consciousness. Likely he will need some long term care from the beating he endured.

Onlau shakes his head. "Nothing like that has ever happened before. But I would appreciate it none the less."

After collecting all four documents, you return to Venture-Captain Esmayl ibn Qatari’s estate, where you have the chance to present your findings. There, you are introduced to a Mwangi Pathfinder agent with twin braids and striking glacial eyes. "Pathfinders, this is Karisa Starsight." She stands offering her hand. "Thank you for your assistance in this matter. I look forward to building the Sedeq lodge and freeing fellow agents from slavery." She pulls out a small bag of coin for each of you and hands it over. "To working together in the future."

That is the end of this quest. I hope you all enjoyed it. I will get chronicles out to you this evening when I am able to get back to my home computer.

And good luck with the Lodge establishment he replies Hopefully there won't be any more complications.

"You are welcome Venture Captain, though we should report that the Patari family is very unhappy about this situation. The attacks on the merchant Onlau are likely only the beginning. I would suggest that you have guards about during the entire construction. We don't want to see any more Pathfinders injured."

"Yes," he asys, nodding in agreement with Mikeala's statement. "The Patari came with lethal intent. It may be an uncomfortable negotiation if they are the rightful landowners. We did try to ensure their survival, though."

He bows to Karisa and says, "An excellent goal."

Drakmak bows to Venture-Captain Esmayl ibn Qatari and Karisa Starsight, before turning to his companions. "I am happy to call you friends, I am sure that we shall work together again in pursuit of the Society. Now I will bid my farewell until we meet again." His head bows again, this time to his companions.
