I'm also enjoying our group as it comes together! Sorry for not being completely honest with the other characters yet, but I think we all kind of expected that going in for this kind of setting (at least, I hope you did). Eventually I do think John's abilities will definitely come out, but he's hopeful that he'll never have to really explain where they come from...

She had seen the entire extended family on the 4th, so 24 people have been juggling unexpected quarantine. The kids have been...well...."lovely little dearies". How's the baby? Are you getting any sleep?
Thank you all for your patience and support. The baby is great, strong as can be (born 9# 7oz), vibrant and inquisitive, and with a set of lungs that can call the dinosaurs back from extinction. My wife had a C-section after over 30+ hours of labor, so she is on bed rest and recovering well (first couple days home we had to relearn everything we figured out in the hospital). I have some family in town now to assist, and we have gotten into something of a routine.

Boom! Man that is a big ol' boy! Good for you! That's awesome. Hey, my wife knows that feeling all to well. My daughter was 9lbs 2oz and my son was 10lbs 2oz.
My wife was 8/8 and I believe I was 9/9. So, we were all just a squad of big babies. :)
Lol- mine were 9# 8oz and 9# 10oz, and both needed c-sections. Big babies make for harder labor but the trade off is that they tend to start sleeping through the night earlier. Hope you get the routine down soon!
I think I was a tiny 5# 6oz.
At 9# 6oz I was the smallest of my mother’s 5 children. We grow ‘em big in my family.
Ooh, caesarian can't be fun, especially the aftermath - presumably that means she can't do a lot right now?
Honestly, I'm not squeamish in any way but the whole 'pregnancy' thing freaks me out - something growing inside me that then gets way too big and has to burst out through something way too small?

Congrats, Nevermore! My boys are still both under 4 so I remember this time period vividly...well more like I remember the blurry sleep deprivation vividly.

I am once again having to catch up. Exhaustion is my companion at the moment.
Thank you all for the well wishes and support, it's definitely been a wild ride at only 10 days in. I have learned a ton since my son was born. I am pleased to say we have managed to get his feeding challenges in line, and things are starting to be a little more normal for us. William, that sounds awesome, and like the feeling I had when I finished getting our son's nursery put together.
Now, let the mystery continue...
Raising kids is exhausting, but those moments are so great. Enjoy them.

Man, 'Oh no' is right because that was my exact same feeling also, John. I didn't even realize his last post was July 31st. Man I really hope we haven't lost him but that's a long time without a word so that does make it concerning.
Yes, nearly three weeks is a long time. These are tricky times for everyone though so I think we just keep going and hope that he returns.
The blessing provided by an urban setting is it's easy to have characters leave and rejoin without too much of a convoluted story. I have been trying to delay my posts to allow everyone to respond, and it is dragging the game down, so we will move along. I have sent Mr. Westford a message. I hope not to lose someone this early, but I want to keep the game moving.
That's entirely fair. My own recent slowdown in posting isn't ideal but I will catch up tomorrow.
Hey, sorry- I inquired into when Mr Wainwright went missing but I can't remember the days (I want to say maybe he disappeared on a Tuesday and we found him Thursday night, but that could be totally wrong) and I don't have time to look for the thread for it today. I'll try to post about it tomorrow.

So, am I losing my mind? I really thought that I stopped at Mister Wainwright's office on my way from one place to another at one point and was told what day he went missing, but looking back through the thread I can't find it anywhere... am I imagining that whole thing?
I'm going to avoid addressing Scarlet's question for now (out of necessity) and just post in the Cirque but if anyone remembers where (or if) that happened please help me.

I will be leaving tomorrow afternoon for vacation, until September 4th. I think I'll be able to keep up with the game via my phone but I have been warned the cell service where I'll be most of the time might be inconsistent. If at any point you are all waiting on me, please feel free to bot me. My skill bonuses are all in my profile (and banner) and while I'll be very hesitant to use a spell (since someone might notice it), I'll be far less hesitant about using my special abilities if we run into trouble (those are also in my profile, under the "class abilities" spoiler).
