Hey folks so this is Vrog Skyreaver/Arma. Sorry about the spam if we were in multiple games together.
Unfortunately, I have some bad news. I currently do not have access to my main account. I have opened a ticket to Paizo, but from the email I got back from them, it's not looking like I'll be able to access my account any time soon.
I would have posted sooner but I didn't even think about making an alt until now.
As it's not fair to everyone to make them wait, I'm going to withdraw from the game. If I get me account fixed and the game is still ongoing, I'll reach back out to see about joining.
Thank you for letting me play with you all, and I hope you all have a great game!

            Hello folks!
Excited to meet you all.
I'll be playing the Psiforged Zander, and his psicrystal pal J'r-V'zz. Should be fun.
The boys are a little busy at the moment, so we won't be interfering with your fun at the warehouse, but looking forward to running into you all soon enough. :-)
Oh, Illendur, you'll recognize Zander as having been hired security at a few of the same events. He asks a lot of questions, but otherwise seemed a decent enough fellow - for a Warforged with a glowing crystal in his chest and a halberd, that is.

Yay! I'm still sad it's not a psi-halberd, though. XD
Listen, just because Disney owns everything doesn't mean I can have psychic Iron Man *with* a lightsaber axe, OK?
Well... Actually... With 8 hours of tinkering... OK. So I *CAN* have psychic Iron Man with a psychic lightsaber axe... Just... Not right now.

Yeah, I was like 'he can't have a lightsaber axe? That doesn't sound right.' This is more like it.
We're also getting a street shaman coming in.

            Perception (J-V): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Perception (Z): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
I feel like this isn't going to be terribly helpful, since J-V and Z aren't actually at the warehouse... :-D

Spoilered posts up for Whurzander and Dok Tarley.
By the by, Whurzander and Dok know each other because Whurzander was directed to the street shaman as a good person to talk to in order to learn about Dock Ward. Up to you guys how much time you spent together, but you at minimum recognize each other and trust that the other guy isn't going to steal your lunch or stab you in the back when you look the other way.

            Yay!
Hey Dok! I feel like I know you...but you look different, somehow... ;-)
If Dok was up for it, Zander would have asked questions until Dok wasn't willing to answer them any more. And if Dok shows up at the same place Zander is, currently, he'll prove a point Zander was just making to J'r-V'zz...

I'm thinking about some kind of houserule along the lines of what I said IC, where the person with the best bonus or the person taking the lead in a situation can roll against a certain DC and give the other PCs a bonus to their checks.
Alternatively, we could just do what the 5E rules do for group checks, where if half the group makes the check you pass and if not you fail.
I think the first idea is more Pathfinder-y and granular so am leaning that way. Thoughts? Any drawbacks you can see to this?

I like the 5e version, but as you say, the first option is more Pathfinder-y, so I'm cool with it.
The only drawback is what happened here - we're waiting for that person with the best skill bonus to roll first, to see what (if any) bonus we can apply.

            EDITED:
The ceiling is higher in the primary tunnels and it's much higher in the junction rooms, but these secondary tunnels are just over half as wide as the main ones so the ceilings have to be lower.
So re-reading the description of the tunnels, there's no listed height. I just assumed the tunnels were round, like they were made with a tunnel machine. But they don't have tunnel machines. And I went to look at pictures of ancient sewers and they're not round, they're square. So you know what? The height is equal to the width now (2 squares wide and 2 squares high). This does make it harder to melee the thing, though.
Reality changes! I'm basically Neo in the Matrix. :D

If it's 2 squares high, isn't the top square still adjacent to the lower (possibly PC-containing) square? ;D

Just to codify it, I decided to go with option 2. On group checks like everyone sneaking past a guardpost, if half the group passes the check then the whole group succeeds.

This being an urban campaign using the Cost of Living rules, all PCs are assumed to have an appropriate place to live. To make sure we're all on the same page as to the party's current location, the Spouting Fish is right at the crook of the Way of The Dragon where it turns from North-South to NW-SE. You're right on the border between Southern Ward and Dock Ward. Here's the interactive map if you forgot about it.
Off the top of my head, alternatives to going home would be:
* find an inn- this is the most straightforward option, but requires money and a legitimate, Guild-marked inn might call the Watch or some other authorities when a bunch of bloody mercs stumble in the door asking for a place to hide out.
* go back to the Yawning Portal- it's definitely open at this hour, it caters to adventurers/mercs, and you know friendly people there. This will spread rumors of your exploits.
* go to the Keelhauled Dwarf- Goggh and Arma took your loot there and Goggh might be able to arrange a place to crash. Since Goggh is now an NPC this will incur some kind of debt to him and his organization.
* find a temple- Southern Ward is controlled by Thrane and they have a bunch of temples and shrines around that cater to travelers and indigent residents. This will put you on Thrane's radar.
* find a hostel- Dock Ward is controlled by Breland and they have the most robust program to help homeless residents; there are several halfway houses, flop houses, hostels, and homeless shelters for people who need a place to stay. This will put you on Breland's radar.
* use a flop house/safehouse- Dok and Jixel are both connected in certain ways, they could probably identify a place to crash if they want to use their connections. Ilendur is also connected but it's not particularly applicable to your current situation. This will likely incur some kind of debt to the providing organization.
* see if Renaer will call you a carriage and take you back to his place. He may not be particularly excited about this prospect but you might be able to convince him.

Ash would prefer to pressure Renaer into taking us in (I'll post in a bit). He flatly refuses to go to a temple in the Southern Ward, and seems unhappy with the idea of drawing any attention in general.

If anyone's interested, I'm starting a level 6 Kingmaker game. I'm reaching out to players I already know before I open up general recruitment; anybody who plays in this game is guaranteed a slot.
This is the Discussion thread, if you're interested. Level 6, 25 point buy. There's a ton of setting information, NPCs, and game history on the game's Obsidian Portal page.
This game is set in the existing duchy of Veteris, starting after the events of Kingmaker adventure 1 Stolen Land. Kingdom roles are filled with NPCs and the PC party will not interact with the kingdom building mechanics; those decisions will happen off-screen. The PCs will take on the role of problem solvers for the existing NPC decision makers.
This setting is influenced by 2 prior campaigns, in which the kingdom was established and pivotal events already happened. In addition to the events of Stolen Land, the previous parties adventured through: Into the Haunted Forest, parts of Tales of the Old Margreve, Flight of the Red Raven, and Carnival of Tears. This party will likely also face the challenges of adventures outside the Kingmaker adventure path.
The kingdom was established 5 years ago, in game. In that time the kingdom's 2 primary cities have swelled to several thousand residents, becoming small cities in a short time, and has become a power surpassing both Mivon and Pitax in a very short time. This has upended the historical balance of power in both Brevoy and the eastern River Kingdoms.
Veteris aligned itself with House Lebeda and Restov, creating a belt of resistance along Brevoy's southern flank. 2 years ago, togther they fought and survived a short lived war against House Surtova with support from Houses Orlovsky and Lodovka. Surtova is not broken, however, and while all parties have left the field everyone anticipates further hostilities.
If you're interested, cool! If not, also cool, no worries. Thanks for reading this long-ass post. :)

Yeesh. So that's 4 failures to 1 success. I'm trying to do the "fail forward" thing and am willing to take suggestions here.
So far all I can think of is y'all are being so sketchy that you get arrested and thrown in a drunk tank or the equivalent overnight, giving you a safe, secure place to sleep and brand new ID papers for everyone with a big "NON-RESIDENT" stamp on them. Not sure how excited you guys would be about that. :-D
I'm very open to suggestions.

LOL. I think that's a fair consequence of our suspicious-looking group trying to "break into" the North Ward. Gotta go with the dice! Dibs on the bit of straw or bench with nothing vile on it! XD Poor Renaer, it's probably the worst thing that's ever happened to him. XD Maybe it works out like a military haircut, and he bonds with us? :D
Ash isn't thrilled with being in jail again, but he keeps an eye out for any shifters who might be willing to listen to reason and change their in-jailed ways. XD
