Peregrine focuses his magic into the surrounding snow and melts it into a geyser, hoping to push the bear back and give himself a little room.

This is bad. Jaeli moves north, a crucial bit closer to the unconscious Mylow (Stride, 1 action) and holds up her holy symbol, sending a luminous butterfly fluttering forward towards him and dissipating into healing magic (Heal, 2 actions). With two clerics working in concert, they can hopefully pull the rogue back from death's door.

With the magical healing infusing his wounds together, Mylow leaps to his feet (Move Action to Stand from Prone) and reengages (Move Action) in the fight (Stike Action).

Not sure if the bear gets pushed by Peregrines Hydraulic Push. If it does that should put it in a flank with Mylow and Sejon. The bear should be flatfooted to Mylow and he would get extra Precision damage. If it is and Mylow hits then the extra damage is below.

Sejon feints, but the bear doesn't buy it. Sejon tries the direct approach, and stabs the bear in the face. That works better.

Rhiannon moves (Heal has a range of 30'), and heals Mylow. Mylow's eyes reopen with an audible gasp from his mouth.

Peregrine, both of the actions you've listed will provoke an attack of opportunity from the bear - casting a spell and moving. However, if you were to Step instead of Stride, you'd be out of range and then you could cast. I'm going to revise your actions to Step, Cast a Spell.

Gibble, what are you telekinetically throwing at the bear? You should specify, so that the damage can be accurately classified (bludgeoning, piercing, slashing). I'm going to make you throw chalk at the bear - it will be bludgeoning.

Peregrine and Gibble's spells bludgeon the bear into submission. It collapses on the ice, eyes rolled back in its head.

---

Jaeli, please save your Heal.

Mylow, just so you know, standing up would have provoked an attack of opportunity if the bear were near you (and he didn't use it on Peregrine).

Rhiannon
Gibble
Peregrine
Sejon (-2 hp)
Jaeli
Mylow (-3 hp, Wounded 2)

There are no more combats, but I did want to highlight the Wounded condition - if Mylow were to have gone down to Dying again, he wouldn't go to a Dying value of Wounded + 1, in this case, Dying 3. This is new to PF2, and is disincentive to repeatedly entering and exiting Dying. The Wounded condition can be removed with Treat Wounds, which is an Exploration activity.

--End of Combat--

The Raiders of the Open Road visit the bear's lair, discovering the missing race official. He's barely breathing, and has slashing wounds all over his body.

Hustling into the cave and seeing the race official near death, Peregrine shouts, "Rhiannon, Jaeli, I could use some help in here! This official is on his last legs and needs healing now or I don't think he is going to make it!"

Jaeli breathes a sigh of relief as the beast goes down. Not wasting a second, she heads into the cave with the rest of the group. Nodding to Peregrine, she kneels down to heal the race official. "Desna's fortune be with you..."

Ok, now I'm really confused with these rules. I thought the whole reason why we could not "Step" was because it was difficult terrain. Did I misinterpret something?

Mylow was 15' away, thus why he had to take another move action to move 2 squares to get within striking range of the bear. It probably would have gotten an AoO when he moved in for the strike.

Now that the adrenaline is wearing off, Mylow says "We should get to the finish to seek some help for this official. Is there any others around or was he alone?" Mylow holds an arm around his chest while he looks around the inside of the cave.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

Mylow calls out "Thanks for administering your healing powers, Rhiannon & Jaeli!"

Peregrine is not on the ice, so he can Step.

Jaeli heals the official. Suspending him between two team members, the Raiders carry him to the finish line.

Two tall, wooden linnorm statues mark the finish line to the harrowing Balgirdtrek. Crossing the line, the gathered crowd of spectators and participants cheers and applauds, before turning into a hushed silence as they realize the Raiders of the Open Road are carrying the missing official. A medical team rushes out, and the Raiders are met with blankets, soup, and medical supplies almost as soon as they are within the village of Frostgarten, where spectators are gathered to celebrate the competition and those who completed it.

"This year's victors - The Raiders of the Open Road!" the announcer yells. The crowd roars back with applause.

As one last formality, the winning team is tasked with helping to prepare the feast and medical supplies for the remaining racers. Once the last of the teams cross the finish line, the festivities begin. A massive feast is prepared, and the Raiders of the Open Road are given a place of honor at the banquet table. One by one, the competitors take turns toasting the Raiders of the Open Road.

All the competitors, that is, except for Without Trace or Fail. Rumor has it that they were permanently banned from the competition for cheating.
