Frantino Kaddren |

Typical Sarenite, always wanting to go or look east. However, in this case there's nothing visible to make either one seem like a better option than the other.
Frantino nods his agreement to Nasir and slowly follows as Ayita looks ahead.

Not realizing that tactical decisions are being made with glances and nods, Hatfield follows the group. As they near the manor, he draws the metamagic rod--holding it in his main hand.
"I shoulda bought more supplies fer mint juleps this evenin'. I hope we'll have drinks in celebration."
Are Yahzi and Ter both with us?

Nasir al-Rafik Kamal wrote:I vote for up the eastern stairs.Do you think that the inhabitants might see us against the sunrise, though, if we arrive through the eastern stairs? It would be positive for a Sarenrite though! I am fine with that.
Whichever approach is agreed upon, Ayita listens carefully for activity near the doorway... watching for traps too though that seems unlikely.
Ter is on her shoulder, for now, having circled above and seen nothing (I assume.)
On her way up the porch stairs and towards the eastern staircase, Ayita hears a yawn and then the scrape of a chair at the main doorway.
Ayita realizes the porch and stairs are quite new. New lumber. Well-assembled. Not very squeaky at all. She remembers that the Manor was recently created from three separate buildings. The porch and stairs must have been part of the new construction that connected the buildings.
Windows are open on the eastern porch that you are walking by. Inside you see members of the Order eating breakfast. Looks like porridge and beer. Several at the tables appear to be scholars, dressed in various clothing. One of them is dressed in peacock colors. She seems to keep to herself. Almost as if she's the cool girl and the others are the band geeks.
@EVERYBODY Stealth rolls, please. Stealth DC10. The porch and stairs are well constructed, sure. But they're STILL wood. So they're squeaky. Just less squeaky than an old building would be.

One of the scholars looks up, mid-porridge scoop in his mouth.
"Mmmntrudah!" he shouts, mouth full. He opens his mouth and porridge spits out and he points his spoon at the window. At Nasir. The porridge flings off the spoon and hits the peacock-colored woman in the face.
"What the Hells, Mather?" she says, wiping the porridge off her face. She turns and... sees Nasir.

The grid doesn't quite match up well with the porch, but she's been diagonal from you, in melee range, the whole time. Your attack goes off and misses.
I've moved her squarely into her grid-square. I had her off the wall a bit so as not to obscure the map.
If you had known she was in melee range, and done something differently, or perhaps added in another attack, such as a shield bash, go ahead and roll that now.

I agree with Nasir, when Frantino was standing on the stairs it didn't look like Nasir could also attack Red.
