Putting on ghost touch was the round earlier as his standard action. These actions below became moot when Nasir's attack destroyed the other creature. I also refunded the mental focus from the mind barrier that never happened.
Frantino will put up another mind barrier as a swift action, then use acrobatics to try to get to the far side of Ayita without provoking. This will leave a spot for Yazhi or Nasir to easily move to.

Since Ezranadir goes earlier and I assume he'll step back before blasting the ghost with a spell, Frantino will step over before attacking so that Ayita still has a flank partner and these attacks all get +2, effectively negating the shaken penalty. He also wants to block the creature from attacking Ezranadir again.

INSIDE THE READING ROOM
Frantino steps carefully into the reading room, backed up by Ayita.The small room holds a grisly tableau—a pair of ancient skeletons with leather cords around their bony necks.
A brief chill passes through Frantino and he swears he smells grave dust.
After making sure everyone has a moment to recover and Ezranadir has a chance to rinse the gravedust from his mouth, Frantino shows everyone the second reading room with the two skeletons with leather straps around their necks.
"Those two creatures must be the ghosts of these two poor fellows, given that the ghosts kept grabbing at their own necks. Doc and Ezranadir, do you think those creatures are truly gone or could they reform after a period? Should we take care of these bodies to ensure they're at rest?"
Frantino will cast detect magic again to search the room, since the combat interrupted his search before he'd even started. He'll then examine the bodies and confer with the party to see how we might ensure their eternal rest.

Frantino will spare Ayita the taste of skeleton dust and remove the second leather strap. "Doc, these skeletons collapsed into dust as soon as the straps were removed, is there anything else we should do?"
Once everyone has recovered, Frantino will point out the obvious. "It seems that we've explored every room on this level. Maybe we should double check that our prisoner is still confined and then we can see where these stairs go. Clearly Hira and her group made multiple trips so I'm guessing that this was how they came in from the outside with their supplies, hopefully we can now carry all of these invaluable books back to the ship before we look for the overgrown stone archway that Runelord Sorshen showed us in our dreams. Or we can go through that other portal that activated down in the Gauntlet level when an abyssal runestone came near it, see where it goes. What options am I missing?"

"Doc, perhaps you'd like to say a word over these departed spirits to set them to rest. If the stairs do lead up and out then it may be a better way to leave than going back the way we came. The other portal is the only remaining way forward that I can recall."
Do we know if this grave dust would be a good component or reagent for spells or can be taken back to a temple for them to talk to the dead?

Noticing that Nasir is injured, Hatfield treats his wounds: Healers Way on Nasir: 3d6 + 1 ⇒ (4, 3, 2) + 1 = 10. (Thanks to Reward of Life, Hatfield also heals 4 HP.)

"I don' think so. To be sure, tho". Hatfield does his best to sweep up their ashes for interment when the party gets outside. He says a quiet prayer while he sweeps: "Eternal rest grant unto them..."

Frantino will ask Nasir to accompany him while he goes back to check on Damil. He wants to make sure Damil hasn't tried to bust through the doorway that he sealed when he used wood shape on the door.
"I think we should leave him in there a little longer. Once we have confirmed that the stairs lead back to the outside and we have a route back to the beach where we left the ship's boat, we can reopen the door and take him as a prisoner when we bring all these magnificent Thassilonian books to the ship. I'm sure the Sihedron Council will want to know what the Peacock cultists are up to, and it's not like Hira or Viralane can answer their questions, not without speak with dead."

Frantino does not go up the stairs yet, he's going back to where we left our injured prisoner contained. He asks Nasir to join him just in case Damil is trying to break down the door, even though it was wood shaped. If everyone agrees and is ready, then we'll go up the stairs to see where they go. There's a chance they don't lead outside, at least not immediately. Frantino would prefer if we all went up together, just in case.
