I mean, it's rural New England, so guns going off at night is par for the course. I was more thinking about guns going off right next to your ear.

The party heads towards the rental cottage complex and the dock. A sign reads:

Adam’s Pond Comfort Cabins. Est. 1955

[i]The complex is a set of five cottages set in a semicircle around a center area that looks as if it has been used extensively for sports. There is a volleyball net set up at one end and what looks to be several storage lockers commonly used for sports equipment on the periphery. The grass is almost worn away, and a trail leads to the dock which sits on the pond facing the cottages. On the other side of the cottages is a small gravel parking lot, empty save for several small boats on trailers, shrouded in tarps. Dirt driveways feed out to the cottages from the lot. From the back of the gravel lot a dirt road heads back through the forest, presumably meeting up with the road the group came to the Bailey House on.

There is one larger cottage and four smaller ones. The larger cottage sits in the center of the semicircle with two small cottages on either side of it. There is an old Plymouth minivan parked outside of one of the smaller cottages with Massachusetts plates. This cottage has lights on within. The other four cabins are dark, and look as if they are unoccupied. ...

I don't think so, no. An incorporeal's attack can touch other incorporeals, though I don't think this applies here.

I'm finding it somewhat amusing that, of the two PbPs I'm currently playing in, my characters are 1) unstoppable rage monster, and 2) dedicated non-combat exposition guy.

Well, things have been challenging this week. My stepfather up in Nova Scotia passed away suddenly. I am booked out for a flight tomorrow, and I’ll be out of pocket until next Thursday. I might try to get some things set, it depends on how the trip goes. I might be incommunicado, hard to tel. This battle is fairly up and down. We can pretty much theater of the mind it to the conclusion.

Question: when you say that Daniel has "animalistic intelligence," does that mean he's a completely mindless undead, or that he just has a really low Intelligence stat? Need to figure out if mind thrust is going to work-- based on the results of detect thoughts, Coyote would know, but I don't.

Daniel is about a 4 INT. Not mindless, but barely functional above hunger instincts. His ‘creation’ was marred by the head wound Nathan dealt him while subduing him.

lol. In Coyote’s defense, I don’t think the weed would be the focus of any NH constabulary.

Just as an FYI you probably have about 15 minutes or less to make yourself scarce. Good news is your car is parked at the Bailey House, and you can get to it quickly. Also, whoever is in the campground cabin isn’t coming outside. If you retreat, likely the cops will assume someone was plinking cans or kids ‘popping off’. NH has a fairly lax attitude towards guns, and they likely aren’t going to spend a lot of time investigating.

Finally better. The bandage contact lens should be removed today, and I can see fairly well.

For those who are curious, this is the culprit. The docs remove the raised tissue - like the skin of a blister - and put in antibiotics, dilation drops for the iritis, and the bandage contact. It takes a week or so to heal because I tend to tear off large chunks.

Damn, that sonds really unpleasant. Sorry. Happy to hear that it's healing well.

I don't think Coyote would necessarily know this (or care), but as a former paper engineering student, I feel compelled to note that paper can be made from any organic fibrous material, not strictly wood pulp. For example, I worked on a research project where the department was trying (with mixed results) to make cheap, low-grade paper out of miscanthus sinensis (Chinese silvergrass). Oddly enough, the faculty advisor for the project used to work as a consultant for Crane & Co.

For the uninitiated (i.e. those who were not into the NY/PA/VT punk rock scene in the 2010s): Dog Bite is what you get if you think you're too classy to buy Steel Reserve, but not classy enough to admit you have a drinking problem. All the delicious aluminum-can-and-microplastics flavor of your favorite Coors Lite, with about double the alcohol content. It even has a song.

Folks - I will be traveling on Thursday to Key Largo to see FAWTL alumnus Solnes get married. From there I am heading to Maine to vacation with my mother and daughter. I will check in and I can certainly do social-type posts, but anything combat-heavy will have to wait.

The good news is my time is starting to get better, so hopefully more consistent posts.
