I fully expect to see all of the Teenage Mutagen Alchemist Humanoids there

King in Thorns slideshow!

@Kit
If you had your XBow in one hand or 2 hands, you would have to let go of it with one hand (Free Action) to--
--retrieve your alchemist flask (1 action)
--put the flask into the XBow (1 action)
--and the get that now free hand on the XBow to use it since it needs 2 Hands (1 action)
So, would have had to wait to shoot next round.

To remember for later-- unless I am missing something here.

King in Thorns slideshow!

@Kit
Actually, you can charge your Alchemical Crossbow and keep the elemental vial in there as long as you want.
The timer only goes off when you fire the first shot (1 minute to use 2 & 3).
Charge early, saves you two Actions in Combat.

DungeonMaster

Just noticed, I signed up for this, but never dotted in, normally I get messaged if I miss one. I thought I had dotted in all my games, hopefully I didn't mess anything up.

King in Thorns slideshow!

Hello DoubleGold, yes, we had you with Max Titan, second of the name.
I imagine I wrote you or got some message, since it seems you were removed from the list.
I hope I did not mess things up... we ended up with replacements for people leaving, and then with 7 players, but then one more dropped out.
Sorry if there was a mix up (((

Sorry for the mistakes, I made the characters at 1st level, not really worrying about what happens at higher levels, cos my characters very rarely get that high. Don't get to play with the old regular group, even before this CoronaVirus and pbp characters rarely make it up too many levels.

Anyway, will give 2E a bit more of a go, maybe even take a character up a level or two.

King in Thorns slideshow!

No problems with the mistakes!
We all make them all the time.
Hopefully just a bit less often.
Besides, not very important.

King in Thorns slideshow!

Also, since I imagine the fight will be over soon I do not think it is terribly important re. the outcome.
Otherwise I would have prompted you to use your Reaction.
That is what makes the Champion so strong-- free attack + reducing damage etc..

You'll learn fast about your characters.

I still very often remember things after the game!
"Oh, I could have done that!"

I think it's a brutal encounter for front line characters, these serpents are very nasty with their poison, their biting and their spines....

Whether it's this quest, but DCs for saves seem higher that 1e, and we seem to come across them more in 2E so far, in my 2 quests LOL!!

I'll see if Granitt has the stamina to make it though another quest or scenario later.

I am really liking this quest and the way it's being played out, with some really fine characters too.

.

King in Thorns slideshow!

There is a level bump here (+1 to all the enemies' attacks, damage, DCs. etc.).

But I think that, in general. PF2 is more brutal, yes.
You heal up easily if you have some time after a fight, so that's the rythm!

King in Thorns slideshow!

@Elsha: The normal Downtime Roll is your level -2, so it is a level 0 task (which changes nothing to your roll)
Also, what do you mean by:
Faction Grand Archive (unclear when I would choose a different one)
You never have to choose a different one

King in Thorns slideshow!

@Stabby
Have you chosen which faction to go with?
Sorry if you said so and I missed-- am not re-reading all the old posts.

King in Thorns slideshow!

@Kit
Can you fill out the following, please ?

Player Name: What name do you, as a person, want on your chronicle sheet?
A.K.A.: What is the name of your character?
Organized Play & Character Numbers: What is the PFS 2E # for your character?
Faction: What faction are you slotting?

Slow Track: Do you wish to earn Slow Track XP?

Downtime: What will you be doing in your downtime (and please make your roll if one is needed)?

This was from earlier when I was learning about slotting and picking factions. I think you answered it back then too, no further confusion.

I'm sure I'll get a chance to play Quest 3 in the future, quests being easy to run, any DM would be willing to take it up.

King in Thorns slideshow!

Okay, Elsha!
Did not re-read the posts, and just wanted to make sure you still did not have a question (could not remember if we talked about that or not).

@Double Gold: also, why not ask if someone is willing to run it.
If prompted people often answer by offering a table.

@Stabby is going w. Horizon Hunters?

King in Thorns slideshow!

@Stabby: here are the descriptions--> Factions.
For an RP choice.

You can also look at the kind of Boons each one lets you purchase and choose for more mechanical reasons (and then find an RP reason why you ended up in a group that your PC actually dislikes - to escape your mother in law?). These are here--> Boons.

King in Thorns slideshow!

Thank you all for playing!
I hope it went okay...

Please tell me if you have any questions.

I have prepared the 5 Chronicle Sheets (just waiting for what Stabby will decide on as a Faction - though, it is not too important what I report, you can change all things when you are level 1 - and waiting to see if Kit reappears with info' on her character).

I'll get the Chronicles out this week-end at the latest, unless someone needs his/hers now (because of an upcoming game), and do the Paizo report as soon as I have all the info.

Remain safe and roll high!

King in Thorns slideshow!

Technical stuff--

Primary Objectives
The PCs fulfill their primary objective if they recover Grehunde’s gorget from Hlavard’s body. Doing so earns each PC 1 Fame and 1 Reputation for any faction associated with their currently slotted faction boon.

So, you succeeded!
It being a quest, there are no secondary objectives.
So you did all you could do (and more!).

Chronicle Sheet
PCs who successfully complete this quest gain the Legacy of the Gorget boon on their Chronicle sheet.

Which you all get...

We are number 4, the 4th game reported in Outpost III.

Be safe all...

I will wait to see if all is good w. your Chronicles and then close the game down, or wait a week before doing so if no news from Kit before then.

When you have in the gameplay to play that scenario, is that an invitation to play with you as GM? Cos if it is I'd love to join your table.

I've really enjoyed the game, I really like your GM style on pbp and the party was great fun.

I will be starting the scenerio #1-05 Trailblazers Bounty in the next few days, just got to write the intro and do a few tidy up things, but apart from that I'm ready. I have only one who responded from the other group, so that's lots of spots open.

@GM Wayfinder thanks for running this scenario, as always it was a pleasure. You create great scenery for RP with NPC's that are vivid and interesting, you prompt PC's which allow them to be more defined and colorful. Great work man, let me know when you will be running other games.

Elsha - great RP, I loved the interactions that Hopper had with you. Good PC that I really enjoyed and felt in the story. Alchemists are rare in Pathfinder (at least I didn't meet a lot of them) and I am glad that the topic of elixirs, mutagens and bombs were in a lot of our posts.

Kit I liked your PC it is a shame that you joined a bit later and missed initial RP, but I enjoyed reading your posts.

Stabby sorry for having so little interactions with you. It was a good game sorry if alchemical talking made you feel a bit left alone.

Irth thanks for the game, I don't think Hopper said anything to him but I liked your posts. Good game.

Granitt - really good game, great posts, I loved your descriptions during the fight. Nice out of the box thinking with pipes and bladders. Really enjoyable PC in the company.

To sum up, a nice scenario and a great team. I enjoyed playing with you. I hope to play with you some more.

Ah, the Mad Hopper and his silvertongue mutagens...

After finishing blushing because of the praise (thanks!)--

It is a repeatable, and is a kind of follow up to this Quest.
Tell me if anyone is interested.

And, just for fun-- I will show who the Gorget's DM Credit is going to, and who actually will be picking up the Alchemist's Archetype at level 4.
Hear too much of your alchemical talking...

No rush at all!

I had prepared all 5.
Had the feeling we would not see our 6th participant back again (or at least for a while) but I wanted to wait a bit and see if I could give all 6 out together and report all 6.
So, no rush. I just gave out and reported the 5 I had.

I'm thinking that I might be overcommitting if I start my game on Monday, as I didn't think we'd be heading off on another adventure with GM Wayfinder. So what I will do is run a game after we've completed the game or my other games end. Probably after the 2 quests I'm in end.

It also gives me the chance to ask, if there are any scenarios that you would like me to prepare, mainly so GM Wayfinder can get some player credit for a character. Obviously I'd like to start with a 1-4 tier scenario, so let's keep it to them.

I don't know how much 2 games with trail in their name are similar, but I expect a fair bit of travelling in both, so thought doing a different adventure might be more fun.

So over to you guys, suggest a 1-4 scenarion you'd like to see your characters have a run out in?

I am pretty happy playing anything, so will let others choose if they have something they really wish to go with.

And no rush for me.
