OK, so Justin cant see his targets, but he has an idea where he last saw them before the sleet storm knocked out the lights. So he will fire a fireball (Maximized, 15d6 dmg, plus Empowered via amulet (+50% or 7 dice rounded down) for a total of 22d6.) straight down the row he is on, about 40' down, (so centered on M19?) and hope it hits at least some of the ones who were there.
Fireball dmg: 22d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 3, 3, 1, 1, 3, 4, 2, 4, 5, 3, 5, 2, 2, 1, 1, 4, 1, 2, 6, 2, 5) + 6 = 70
Dang. That's just, depressing for 22 dice. :P

As the magical storm dissipates, Justin, who was feeling his way around the column, calls out,
"Nice job Mer,... SHARDS AND SHELLS!" As the wizard realizes that he is but a few, short, feet away from one of the undead menaces that would like to use his head as a drum.
Keep movement of 5' step to M11
Justin raises his blasting rod, and the runes carved into it immediately glow with channeled energy.
"FUEGO! UROLOKE!" Justin shouts, channeling his will and casting one of his more powerful spells.
From the tip of his blasting rod, a ball of fire blossoms and forms the shape of a snakes' head, a very draconic-looking snakes head. The snake immediately takes off with a roar across the room, leaving a trail of fiery devastation in it's wake.

IF I counted my squares right, (NOT gonna swear to it) it can start in square L11, move through the mummies at squares K12, J15, move to F20, E21 (already dead), and F22. Justin unleashes a bolt of dragon-headed flame. It shoots out, hitting the mummies in turn, but some sort of force field around each blunts the fiery energy. It ends up doing a lot less than Justin would hope for

Fire snake IS an instantaneous spell, so no remaining 'wall of fire' effect after it does it's damage. I think of it as a line-of-effect-steerable- fireball. :)

Even though no one can see him, again, everyone is well aware when the mage throws his arms up in the air in frustration.
