Just sent PM's to the other two players letting them know gameplay is up. I know life gets busy and things are easily missed so its no big deal.

So I should have probably asked this earlier but how do you guys want to do combats? I am considering setting something up on roll20 but i've never used it before. Do you think it would speed things up? Otherwise how I usually do things is have you guys post your actions for the round and then I will write up a round summary. It has worked well in the past but I'm wondering if things might run more smoothly on roll20.

Thoughts?

In Roll20 (or Google Draw) you can have more "specific" combat placement and position oriented combat.
If we only do "theater of the mind" it is looser and fast, and it is easier to get confused.
It is DM choice, specially when you are pressed for time. To do and update the combat maps can take quite some time.

I personally prefer having a map of some sort so that I’m not having to say “Ok, can I reach X with a single move or will it take a double?” or “Is Y within 30 feet?” Or “Can I get into a flank on Z without passing through a threatened square?” In a home game, that takes two seconds. In PBP, it can take hours. Much easier to just be able to look at a map. But I have done “Theater of the Mind” in PBP before, so I’m willing to go with that if that’s what everyone else wants.

I find Google slides to be a good choice. I think roll20 is more than you need.

The nice part of google slides is no lining up maps.

It is much easier to take turns for me when I can see the state of the board, I can't speak for others. It minimizes stuff like, how far away is he, can I flank X with Damon, etc.
