Let me know if there's any specific knowledge checks you'd like to make.

Zendara |

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24 (pass)
Zendara enjoys ribs and hash browns and chocolate cake and wonders if she can move in here permanently. What a place. But seeing the wonders of the ancient world makes her even more determined to restore it.
Knowledge Nobility: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21 (pass)
Hmm. I think they only use that crown for important occasions; the rest of the time it is in the museum. At least we have a good cover for visiting museums, right?
Better learn how to fly the ship first though. Lots to do and plan for.
She asks their host what kinds of supplies they have... obviously food is plentiful, what what about weapons, gear, healing items, etc? Anything that could help them?

DM Fang Dragon |

Any other input? :) You can assume there are supplies needed to bring you up to WBL, mac individual item cost is 1/3 WBL.

Yukarii |

Yeah, still here, just been highly distracted lately.
Yukarii went along with the group to the cafeteria and found she was far hungrier than she had expected to be. She was quite sure how everything worked but she was able to order something she hadn't had since she left her homeland. The exotic woman enjoyed the yaki-soba she had ordered, it had been made almost perfect, and she hoped to eat here again soon.
Eventually they began to discuss plans more after finding out where part of the scepter was. She was more than a little concerned at it being on the crown but the fact the crown would likely be in a museum was a great relief to here, well, other than stealing from the museum that is.
"It seems to me that we need more information about the museum and the people who work there. If we can get someone inside to help us that would be very good," Yukarii said.
I'll work on equipment this weekend.

Inside, a symphony of light and shadow plays across the cavernous halls. Sunbeams slant through stained-glass windows depicting legendary battles, casting heroes and villains in a kaleidoscope of colors. The air hums with faint whispers – echoes of past emperors, trapped within the enchanted walls.
Exhibits defy the boundaries of time. Armored suits stand frozen mid-stride, as if their wearers just stepped away for a moment. Weapons shimmer with an inner light, whispering promises of forgotten victories. Glass cases hold vials that contain bottled memories – shimmering scenes of bygone eras and technologies that visitors can peer into with a touch.
One hall features an enormous, rotating globe crafted from a single piece of jade. As it spins, constellations shift and morph, depicting the Kez bloodline's celestial lineage. In another, a life-sized automaton of Attunak Kez, the first emperor, sits on a throne, its eyes following visitors with an unnerving intensity. Some claim it speaks at night, murmuring forgotten war cries and strategies.
The deepest vault, accessible only to the Emperor and his chosen few, holds artifacts of myth and legend. A petrified griffin feather gleams with an otherworldly luminescence. A shard of a shattered moonstone, said to grant visions of the future, rests on a velvet cushion. And in the very center, bathed in a perpetual twilight, stands a single artifact: the Kez's Blade, a sword forged from a fallen star, its blade crackling with an invisible energy that chills the very air.
The Midderland Imperial Museum isn't just a repository of relics, it's a portal to the Kez dynasty's very soul. It holds not just the past, but also the echoes of the future, waiting to be unraveled by curious eyes and brave hearts.

Knowledge Geography: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 (fail)
Knowledge History: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17 (fail)

DM Fang Dragon |

Xindrya, Yukarii do you want to try those rolls?
As a group you discuss what to do next and The Guardian tells you, "If you can learn how to use the helm it would be possible to fly to Midderland. I understand your lift crystal technology does work in the core, this ship has no such limitations. Still to avoid unnecessary attention I think we should fly very high almost out of the atmosphere. There is magic available here to help you fly down and land safely, and hopefully unnoticed."

Xindyra Brenna |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Inspired Kn. Geography: 1d20 + 10 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + 10 + (6) = 20
Inspired Kn. History: 1d20 + 11 + 1d6 ⇒ (14) + 11 + (6) = 31
Xindyra sums up the spoilered contents.
"So basically relics, dangers, and aristocracy and guards aplenty, if we go after the valuable gem. So lots of sneaking and lying, i reckon would be in the future."

Zendara |

I'm fairly good at lying, and okay at sneaking... but it is never a sure thing. I sure hope this whole prophecy thing is true, and the gods are on our side in all of this. I would hate to see evil win because I can't sneak well enough.
I think Xindyra and I can both get piloting skillchips so that even if one of us is down or has to do other things, we still have a pilot. What else do you guys think we need in terms of cybertech or technological gear? I have looked through some of it, but there is a lot. Here are the pages I found:
(Skillchips are on that second page, under implants.)

Yukarii |

Know Hist: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23
Yukarii thought through what she knew of the Kez museum and a it turned out it was more than she first suspected. She began to describe it in as much detail as she could so the others would know that this place was not just a museum and would likely be extremely heavily guarded. She wouldn't be shocked if some of the exhibits could attack them.
"Getting into this place will be very difficult. I'm not even sure if we can handle it," Yukarii sighed and then added, "Still, if we do not try then we should just end ourselves now, it will be a better fate than what we will experience if we do nothing."
