Air elementals speak Auran, I just made Chitauli speak in Common but they basically are following intention rather than a explicit order.
Female Human Inquisitor 7 | HP:52 | AC:20 TAC:13 CMB: +6 CMD: 20 | Fort+7 Ref+7 Will+8 | Init +5 Perception +12 | Hero Points: 3
Well, that changed what I was going to do, so instead we're gonna plink Chitauli to death! Heck yeah!
Got two 2nd level spells and two 1st level spells left. Don't think I could reach the elementals and figured big ghosty was the bigger threat to deal with
M Human Druid (Restorer) 5 - HP 36/37 - LF HP 27/28 - AC 16 - TAC 12 - FF 14 - CMD 14 - Init +6 - Fort +5 - Ref +3 - Will +8 (+2 storm effects) - Perc +15 - SM +18 - Wind 8/8 - Wild Shape 1/1 - Hero Points 3/3 - CLW 21/50
I am not spending spells to defeat Air Elementals... Considering most of my magic won't hurt them.
Iron Gods: Iron maps;
I guess readying to attack is part of the attack trick which means HA DC 10, which is basically an auto-success for Ingolf, so no need to roll it.
Iron Gods: Iron maps;
You cast thunderous cloud on round 1 Splits, you have already attacked 6 times (one was GM pushed by me) with it despite being level 5. So much electrical overloading can make a spell unstably dangerous xD
M Human Druid (Restorer) 5 - HP 36/37 - LF HP 27/28 - AC 16 - TAC 12 - FF 14 - CMD 14 - Init +6 - Fort +5 - Ref +3 - Will +8 (+2 storm effects) - Perc +15 - SM +18 - Wind 8/8 - Wild Shape 1/1 - Hero Points 3/3 - CLW 21/50
Oops. Miscounted.
Yeah then I'm out for this fight. Not much I can do here.
M NG Half-Elf Cryptid Scholar Investigator 8 | HP 51/51 | AC 14 T 12 FF 12 | CMB +5, CMD 17 | F: +3, R: +8, W: +7 (+2 vs enchantments) | Init: +2 | Perc: +7 (+2 vs traps), SM: +2, Low-light vision | Speed 30ft | Extracts: 1st 5/5 2nd 5/5 3rd 3/3 |Inspiration 10/10 | Active conditions: None

Female Human Inquisitor 7 | HP:52 | AC:20 TAC:13 CMB: +6 CMD: 20 | Fort+7 Ref+7 Will+8 | Init +5 Perception +12 | Hero Points: 3
Bleh, that healing roll could have been better, but it's better than nothing. Use your 6 HP well Ingolf!
One 1st level spell left (most likely will keep it as an emergency CLW)
Two 2nd level spells left

If you are deciding to rest, which it seems, where exactly are you doing so?

Ingolf would be fine with going back to the upper temple, assuming we can do that.

I would like to scout ahead as Gas because I have Gaseous Form as a domain spell and I might as well use it.
Iron Gods: Iron maps;
It is definitely a handy spell. But it might be problematic for scouting, have into account it does not make you invisible and you are easily harmed by magic weapons (the spell just gives you DR 10/magic), plus the speed is very bad.
I am fine to roll with that, but it might put Splits in danger depending on what you found on your explorations.
M Human Druid (Restorer) 5 - HP 36/37 - LF HP 27/28 - AC 16 - TAC 12 - FF 14 - CMD 14 - Init +6 - Fort +5 - Ref +3 - Will +8 (+2 storm effects) - Perc +15 - SM +18 - Wind 8/8 - Wild Shape 1/1 - Hero Points 3/3 - CLW 21/50
It does allow you to go through cracks in walls and sneak around like that, as long as I stay near walls there shouldn't be an issue. I have an emergency Wild Shape to escape with if things get really bad. With a Run Standard Action, the gas can move 40 feet a round, which for something that can go through walls is pretty safe.

Apologies, holiday weekend turned into a PSA because of morons (no one is seriously injured, certainly not me. Don't drink and do backyard stunts, kids)
Catching up, hope everybody had a safer and less stupid holiday weekend.

Is the map currently up to date? I can't remember what room we're supposed to be in.
Iron Gods: Iron maps;
Yes Adriana, you were jammed at N13 by the haunt!
I took some freedom and assumed you all went inside the room, moving all your tokens in, but as not everyone is actually regularly updating position in the map, I have to make this type of calls to keep things moving.
Sorry for that!
Female Human Inquisitor 7 | HP:52 | AC:20 TAC:13 CMB: +6 CMD: 20 | Fort+7 Ref+7 Will+8 | Init +5 Perception +12 | Hero Points: 3
It's all good DM, I didn't want to make any assumptions about movement - and am guilty of not always moving my token

Splits the Leaves wrote: Can't Empathy or Calm Animals them unfortunately. I've always hated that distinction considering how narrow the ability is by default. That's a shame, maybe there is some druid archetype able to affect vermin, but calm animals/emotions would not even work because vermin are immune to mind-affecting spells.

I will be traveling from the 29th through the 7th. I will try to post at least some while I am gone, but we are going to help the in-laws fix up a house for sale, so not a lot of free time most likely. for games I am playing in please bot me as needed, for games I am running thank you in advance for your patience with my slow posting!
Iron Gods: Iron maps;
No problem! I am likely to be silent too through the beginning of the month.

How far we've come!
Have some IRL stuff to deal with and likely can't get a proper post in until possibly mid next week, please feel free to NPC as needed and hopefully I can get something in beforehand.

I can hold onto it of course.
Iron Gods: Iron maps;
I will be away of my computer for a couple of weeks. Although I probably can keep posting in the games I am a PC, I will not have at hand the resources and tools to GM in a productive manner. Given the current point of this campaign I am planning for a couple of weeks hiatus.
Feel free to RP while I am offline!

Take care GM!
I'm really sorry for being gone longer than planned, real life kinda spiraled out of control there.I'll work on an IC post soon, keep us in RP mode.

Hello! I am back and ready to restart this campaign. We are moving towards the last combats! Good luck everyone!

Will be a little late posting, sorting out some IRL stuff.
Do we think we would be able to convince Fafail to join us in the fight?
Iron Gods: Iron maps;
Please, once you are ready, write yourselves heading back to the maelstrom center of the temple.
Good luck everyone :)

Look at us, close to the end!
I'm gonna double check to see how many spells Adriana has for when we go into the fight, but I think we rested before the last fight so I think a full batch.
@Ingolf - If there isn't enough juice in the wand, Adriana can use a CLW on herself
Male Gnome Nature Oracle 3 Unchained Barbarian 2| HP: 32/45 temp HP: 0 3 NL damage| AC: 19 (20) T: 15 (16) FF: 15 (16) bracketed numbers are in melee vs size medium+ | Saves F:6 R:0 W:3 | Init: -1 | Perc: 10 (low-light)| CMB: 4 CMD:18 | Speed: 20 ft | conditions: none
I'm not the keeper of the wand, so I don't know how many charges are left.
Iron Gods: Iron maps;
I wanted to give everyone the opportunity to heal up, buff and discuss tactics before the final battle of the adventure, but I have the feeling we are not advancing.
Please, this is a last call, tomorrow I will push the party to the final battle with whatever we have.
M Human Druid (Restorer) 5 - HP 36/37 - LF HP 27/28 - AC 16 - TAC 12 - FF 14 - CMD 14 - Init +6 - Fort +5 - Ref +3 - Will +8 (+2 storm effects) - Perc +15 - SM +18 - Wind 8/8 - Wild Shape 1/1 - Hero Points 3/3 - CLW 21/50
Everyone assume you are fully healed from damage. Between my Spontaneous Spells and almost 28 charges just on the (light) wand, you should be fine.
I'll be casting Resist Energy (Fire) and Resist Energy (Electricity) on all 6 of us before going in (I have Communal and a Pearl III). Anything else?
Male Gnome Nature Oracle 3 Unchained Barbarian 2| HP: 32/45 temp HP: 0 3 NL damage| AC: 19 (20) T: 15 (16) FF: 15 (16) bracketed numbers are in melee vs size medium+ | Saves F:6 R:0 W:3 | Init: -1 | Perc: 10 (low-light)| CMB: 4 CMD:18 | Speed: 20 ft | conditions: none
Ingolf will Bless everyone.
Female Human Inquisitor 7 | HP:52 | AC:20 TAC:13 CMB: +6 CMD: 20 | Fort+7 Ref+7 Will+8 | Init +5 Perception +12 | Hero Points: 3
My only current group buff is Bless, so Ingolf if you want to keep your spell slot I can cast instead, otherwise I'll keep it as a backup.
Iron Gods: Iron maps;
Noted!
Splits, please, remove 7 charges from the wand.
Male Gnome Nature Oracle 3 Unchained Barbarian 2| HP: 32/45 temp HP: 0 3 NL damage| AC: 19 (20) T: 15 (16) FF: 15 (16) bracketed numbers are in melee vs size medium+ | Saves F:6 R:0 W:3 | Init: -1 | Perc: 10 (low-light)| CMB: 4 CMD:18 | Speed: 20 ft | conditions: none
@Adrianna: Ingolf doesn't have too much else to use his 1st lvl slots for, so he might as well cast Bless. His other spells are charm animal, cure light wounds, liberating command and obscuring mist. He can cast 6/day.
Iron Gods: Iron maps;
M NG Half-Elf Cryptid Scholar Investigator 8 | HP 51/51 | AC 14 T 12 FF 12 | CMB +5, CMD 17 | F: +3, R: +8, W: +7 (+2 vs enchantments) | Init: +2 | Perc: +7 (+2 vs traps), SM: +2, Low-light vision | Speed 30ft | Extracts: 1st 5/5 2nd 5/5 3rd 3/3 |Inspiration 10/10 | Active conditions: None
Not a problem with swapping the extracts, Ingolf. The benefit of ablative barrier is that if you get hit for 10 damage, you end up with 5 lethal and 5 nonlethal damage. If you are healed, the healing applies to both lethal and nonlethal damage, giving you an effective boost to the net healing received. But since Ebba should be next to you, it should be relatively easy to heal her too!

Tonny Prul wrote: Lol, I don’t think a single one of us remembered to add the bonus from Opportune Advice - myself included. XD That's one of the main difficulties with the system, specially at high level when you have plenty of modifiers on.
People more or less control the standard classes bonuses and the Core rulebook modifiers, but the more obscure tend to slip out of the mind so nowadays I favor using just static modifiers.
That is also the reason I gave away trying to play support characters some time ago in the boards. They are one of my favorite types on tabletop, but there you can remind everyone about your buffs as things develop, on PbP you cannot ask people to remind and double check all the things you are giving them each round. So aside from well-known things like flanking, inspire courage and haste, I tend to just use self-buffs nowadays when playing on the boards.

I can never remember what Opportune Advice does, in any case.
