Unless someone can aid Tewa's roll or turn her attempt into a success, that was a failed Diplomacy check. Sorry! Good try though.

Alas, Magdi has no Diplomacy and only mediocre Cha.

Apologies, IRL stuff happened. I wish there wasn't an undercurrent of "Not sick with C" for these posts, but here we are :/

Is it too late to attempt to buff or aid? Do I roll with my own diplomacy modifier or a different one? I really hope we won't have to fight the water woman.

I fell and hurt my dominant hand pretty bad yesterday so i might be much slower to post for the next day or so. Thankfully i dont think there is anything broken

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Take care! It is probably just hit, the pain of a broken bone is difficult to endure.

Sure Adriana, go ahead and try a Diplomacy roll or an aid another for Tewa's one.

Apologies again, more IRL stuff. Harmless, but one of those things that has to be taken care of before it stops being harmless.

@DM I'm going to but my diplomacy roll here and late tonight I'll have a proper post in using the result

Diplomacy Attempt: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18

@Tewa ouch! I hope you feel better soon!

I am so tired of IRL stuff, @GM thankyou for picking up my slack.

A slight tldr of a vent - you might think you can youtube how to fix a plumbing problem, but I promise you, you can't. How do I know? My upstairs neighbours and a whole day of people in and out of the apartment.

At least it's just leaks and not water damage (yet.)

Adulthood is tiring

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Yup, houses take a lot more effort to maintain that it might seem, the oldest the worse.

Just this year I have had to call the insurance 3 times to fix a leak, repair a kitchen cupboard (to the previous water leak) and to find a general electrical failure that finally resulted from the halt motor of the extraction hood (which ultimately we decided to replace by a new one). Then I also had to call the caldera technician and replace the valve that refills the heating system to adjust pressure. Sum up 4 downlights replaced in the kitchen, 1 in the toilet, and the large bulb in our bedroom (all failing at different dates of course). Plus, I had to buy and install a new shower head also because apparently my Str 28 found the previous one broken in my hands.

This weekend I am determined to sand down the rust in the front of the washing machine and paint it back. I already bought a special spray to repaint it. Yes let's do it. We can do it Adriana. We are going to do it :)

Female Human Inquisitor 7 | HP:52 | AC:20 TAC:13 CMB: +6 CMD: 20 | Fort+7 Ref+7 Will+8 | Init +5 Perception +12 | Hero Points: 3

We can, we will and we'll complain about it too!

Post coming soon, maintenance is as about as resolved as its gonna get for me (for now)

I just realized how my last post takes some liberties there and I am going to blame posting while extra tired, but if GM is okay with it then it was totally to plan!

More awake post coming soon!

Sorry for my silence these past few days. Been sick off and on. I'll try to get a post up today.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

No problem! That is the kind of detail that enriches the campaign Adriana :)

And this adventure is really a sandbox at heart. You can take the missions in any order, and you can try to look for allies as she is doing, or even just ignore everything in the middle and look for the bad ones lair and gamble your necks with them :P

Female Human Inquisitor 7 | HP:52 | AC:20 TAC:13 CMB: +6 CMD: 20 | Fort+7 Ref+7 Will+8 | Init +5 Perception +12 | Hero Points: 3

I think at least a couple of sidequests, if only so that we don't overshoot like the first mission and come uncomfortably close to death again - swallowed whole, what a way to have gone!

Ooo, don't forget to confirm that crit Jonah! Crossbows threaten on a 19 or 20.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Not relevant in the end as it hit an image with the crossbow.

Generally speaking I roll a dice for the number of images +1, so 1d6 for 5 images, and if the roll is a 1, it hits the real target.

@Adriana, remember about judgement and bane! They really are great :)

Tonny convulses as the electricity grounds itself through him, then falls to the floor in a heap of smoking hair and singed leather.

-9/35 (-9/-12) @GM, what are the rules on Hero Points again? Tonny might need one here soon. XD

Ouch!

The hero points rules are here, only thing I do different is when choosing the bonus you can only take the +4 (the +8 option is not available).

Basically you can expend a hero point to attempt a reroll of the save. As you are on your 3 points limit according to my notes, it might be a good idea. If you end dying, you could still use 2 hero points to fudge death.

Awesome. Could I use the reroll option in a new post, or has that ship sailed at this point? Rerolls in PbP are a tricky subject., and each GM seems to have their own standards regarding them. XD

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

I would say rerolls should be made within the same post, immediately after the first roll.

But in this case, go ahead and take your reroll.

Family issue to handle, please bot if necessary, otherwise should have a post in late-ish tonight

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

At this point you can invest a few hours to research on the Saoc people, the dreams and old Hyrantham, or other topics like astronomy, monsters, etc. There is a +6 bonus for using the library.

Will another perception roll reveal anything else?

Well, there were some items you left behind but nothing major admittedly.

And about timing, the book reading took a few hours, perhaps most of the day, so unless there is a strong push in another direction, I will have you heading back to the Lirgeni Enclave with the next post.

I do have some downtime posts to make but have to handle some IRL stuff first, so it'll be late tonight before I can get it posted.

I'm curious as to what we left behind, but that can wait until we finish.

This confusion is really not good for Jonah... time for some more random ravings!

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

It seems immunity to confusion is gaining in value for Jonah :)

Is the haunt on the telescope itself or where the telescope was? I want to attempt using CLW (That counts, right?) To try and cleanse the haunt if thats doable

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

The haunt started to trigger even before you took the telescope, it is not related to the object but to the place.

And yes, Adriana can just use a spell in the area to damage the haunt :)

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

I do keep waiting for at least one person to post some kind of action or the group to agree on some clear procedure. With the current inputs I can only guess Magdi and Jonah would prefer to bypass it (stealth? looking for an alternative path or using some kind of magic?) while Tonny would prefer to try lure it out of the water, although it is also not clear to me how you wish to attempt that.

If nothing is done, I will just assume the location is not interesting and will have us heading back home to try out with other stuff.

Male Neutral Good Human (Yamasan) Shaman 8 | HP 52/60 | AC 16, Touch 11, Flat-Footed 15 | CMB +5, CMD 16 | Fort +6, Reflex +4, Will +10 (+4 vs. water effects and flying creatures) | Initiative +1 | Perception +6 (+4 without spirit animal) | Wandering Spirit: Battle | Wandering Hex: Battle Ward | Wave Strike 5/5 | Battle Spirit 3/5 | Active Conditions: owl's wisdom 13m magic circle against evil 73m

Yeah, I think Magdi would like to go around it somehow - either by distraction or by some other means. Stealth really isn't his forte, but he doesn't want to fight a sea creature unnecessarily. However, he does think there might be more useful things here, so he's in favor of staying.

... can Jonah use wild empathy? I haven't looked at anyone else's sheets.

Human Ranger 8| HP 47/53 | AC 19/14/15| CMB +10| CMD 24| F +8| R +11| W +6| Init +4 Per +12| Longbow +15 (1d8) arrow count: 17 regular, 16 +1

seems like it would be tricky. have to get within 30 feet of the thing and spend a minute to do wild empathy. seems like plenty of time to get eaten...

In other news, i will be on vacation for the next week and will likely not be able to post very much while gone.

What a week :|

I think I had an idea but my AC was out for almost a week, so we'll go get Nessie

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Let's see if we can make this work, try the wild empathy idea, after all Jonah's favorite enemy is animal and he has a trait to deal with dinosaurs. If that fails we will roll initiative.

As Jonah is on vacation, thanks for the heads up, I will make his wild empathy rolls.

In case there is someone waiting for Tonny to translate. Please, just assume he does, so feel free to read the spoilers and speak up your questions and desires ;)

The spoiler things at the moment there is someone able to understand, are more of an ascetics thing and should not go against the flow of the game, but I can stop doing that if it is keeping us from going forward or killing the momentum.

If no one speaks Auran, Magdi can prepare tongues at level 7, but until then he can only manage comprehend language, which, while useful, isn't going to get across his point to the bird.
