Kang slumps down to rest, thinking to himself what could better help them out. This has been a very long day.
With just the statue remaining the Pathfinders each take a hold and slowly bring it down to the cart and Desert Wind. Lirraz hops into the saddle and begins to guide her back into town. Looking back the gargantuan zombies seem to be hot on your heels, though you still have plenty of time to outpace them.
The return trip is quite mundane. Asyou arrive back at the Vodavani Lodge, you see Venture-Captain Evni Zongnoss casting healing spells on and fussing over a few Pathfinders whom she and her team extracted during their mission into the Gravelands. She greets you, solemnly listening to your debriefing of the slain Pathfinders you encountered, and eagerly welcomes any discoveries you happened to uncover. She holds out a sack. "Please deposit any belongings you came across so that they can be delivered to the fallen families."
The documents and texts you return are all of great use to the Society, but the statue in particular amazes Evni, to the point that she wonders out loud the effort required to transport such a thing across the Gravelands.
Envi looks over to Larraz with a bit of compassion as she pulls him off to the side. "You have been through quite the ordeal my friend. I can make sure you get back home to Katapesh or even look for a more peaceful location to reassign you..." Larraz cuts her off as he shakes his head. "No more adventures for me, I just want to return to my family and take a long break, for now."
Members of the Envoy's Alliance begin to sort through the bodies at once, trying to catalog and identify them as they set to return the remains to their families and loved ones all over the world.
