What I just posted in gameplay is a genuine question. Right now Kaliyah hates Meira and Magda doesn't like her either given her connection to Kroft. Marcus and Vera both seem neutral at best.

I'm not opposed to some in-character conflict or distrust of the new girl, but it's starting to seem like Meira's NG alignment might be a larger issue, particularly as she's also loyal to the guard. (And will remain so until/unless the guard shows itself to be obviously corrupt.) If that is a problem, I'm happy to create a different character that leans more neutral and doesn't have that connection.

Clever Wordplay only applies to Intimidate. For Diplomacy I'm using Skill Focus and the Illuminator trait to make up for the negative CHA modifier, but CHA is still the ability score used.

Sadly this means no extra bonuses to diplomacy right now. But if Meira sticks around until level 10, she'll get an extra bonus for the skill focus :)

Meira is great!

Yes, Magda just doesn't like Kroft for reasons. She also doesn't like being ordered about or manhandled or authority figures in general, which I've explained a bit already I think.

She didn't like... um... Anyone but Vera to start with, then Kali, Shi is fine now, heck she even respects Marcus since he caught the rock she threw at him. She doesn't like Krovax much but that is because of his anger issues.

Magda is Good alignment wise, just not anywhere near lawful.

Kali does not like Meira right now, I'm not going to say that's incorrect. This however has little to do with her alignment, it's the fact you are "the new girl" and she really doesn't trust a lot of people. Hell, she barely trusts most of the party and that's only because they've saved her from sure death.

Kali will warm up to Meira, it's just going to take a little time. She's got some trust issues and she is working through some things right now. I wouldn't change anything about Meira as it would be pleasant to have a guiding light somewhere in this party! :)

If Kali is too rough around the edge for you, I'll tone it back so it's not as grating. By no means am I trying to make you feel uncomfortable so let me know if it's bothering you and I can adjust accordingly.

Some questions:

1) Did we end up comandeering that boat as a headquarters for ourselves? I want to say we ended up ditching it but I'm not sure.

2) Is the Pathfinder Society a normal part of this AP?

3) Is this some actual downtime for crafting and whatnot?

1) You didn’t - it seems difficult.

2) They have a lodge - you can draw upon their resources if you join/would like.

3) A few days, maybe a week. I expect everyone to be level 4 before the next vignette.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't masterwork transformation cost the same as just buying a masterwork item, so isn't it not very useful in an urban setting?

You don't have to pay the price of the original item. And if you got proficiency through an heirloom weapon, you can make it maksterwork somehow which is good, because it can save a feat for certain exotic weapons.

Drat, didn't get to edit my old post. Minor thing, I won't put any points in Diplomacy but instead will have the Headband of Intellect provide a bonus there, and toss another point into Sense Motive. And also one more point in Sleight of Hand instead of Appraise. Also forgot my stat boost, which goes into +1 Int.

Oh, and Vera is 15 now instead of 14. I honestly had made her 14 because according to the age table, adulthood is 15. Default starting age is 15+die roll. So the fact that she's 15 means she's a bit younger and fits the Young template. Kids had to grow up quick in ancient times. And none of you know exactly how old she is anyway.

It's always really nice when the character well-specced for perception invests in some eyes of the eagle. Trivializing perception checks helps bypass a ton of hurdles.

Hey gang!

I'm struggling to juggle my workload of games these days. I simply have too much on my plate and not enough time to post. The pandemic shifted my lifestyle this year and with the kids at home all day every day with me, I just don't have the bandwidth I used to have to keep the balance. Checking in for games is becoming less fun and more work, so in order to keep my sanity I'm going to need to drop this game.

I don't want to drop this game, as I really enjoy Kali, but it's just too much weight for me to carry at this time. Maybe I'll come back again sometime if there's an opening, but for now I think I need to step away from some of my tables. Honestly, it's not fair to all of you because I can't give enough effort beyond the bare minimum.

I hope you understand, sorry if I'm letting you guys down! Best of luck in you future games and I hope to play with you all in a game one day again.
