Your wife begins to serve booze to the wounded and they drink heartily, knowing that barred in here, death will not find them. After all, the Doge's men cannot open all locked doors to search, at least not this night.
As the evening wears on, the men begin to get so drunk, many can hardly stand. The booze eased their fears and their wounds.
A few still sober enough sit around a table and plot their next course.
Your wife approaches, "My Love, it is time, only three remain awake. With them gone, we can easily slay the rest, cowardly I know but I see no other way out..."

He stops, his eyes go wide. He turns to the Salubri, Brian Stack, "Lord Stack, attend to me, I am summoned in my own City! There shall be hell to pay!"
Brian Stack rushes to him and the Prince and the Salubri Elder meld into the shadows at the back of the room and disappear from sight!

They turn to you and the older gentleman speaks, "Thank you Signore' for your hospitality. Gino here is close friends with the Querini family. He will see to it you are reimbursed for your troubles tonight. In the morning we shall slip out quietly and find those who remain allied to us. The fight against the Doge cannot end here, Venice herself depends on us!"

Geoffroi drives his sword right through Talisman's neck and draws it back out, somehow, Talisman shakes it off as the wound instantly closes! He turns to Geoffroi with a look of shock on his face.
Baldemar also attacks the Elder from his flank.

But the Teutons' strike cannot land against the hardened skin of the ancient dead.
Sergei continues to assail the now mobile Alessandro.
Alessandro you are struck once more this time with less vigor.
Geoffroi stares at Talesin. That strike had felt like the hand of St. Michael himself had guided it. He had almost thought he would lop the ancient fiend’s head off. And it had done nothing.

He nods to Gino as well as the man is mentioned, and more..
As he probes for knowledge of where Querirni, the Querini that the Prince seeks, is.

The man's secrets begin spilling forth .
1 - Gino does not know. Michele Querini has been missing for weeks. A letter was received by his father claiming that he was alive and outside of the city. Even though the letter was in his handwriting, no one can confirm the story within.
2 - The anti-Doge forces have House Tiepolo as allies as well as several merchants who seek to return to normalized relations with the rest of Italy and the Pope.
3 - If there is a back up plan, Gino is not privy to it. He believed victory was assured.
4 - No and Yes. Gino's mind was clearly altered and those memories cannot be accessed. He has had sexual relations with the Lasombra Xing Shi. His memories of those intimate moments are distinct, the first few times she was a warm blooded woman, the last time she was cold as ice. He is not sure why that is so and seeks her out as he wants to know more and believes he is in Love with her.
5 - He not aware of any plans of anyone assisting Michele in anything.
6 - Gino's relationship with the Querini is through Marco who is the mastermind of the coup attempt and a cousin of Michele.
7 - Several months ago, Gino rented Michele's home to one Sergei Volkov. That is the name of a Hunter here in the city! They were evicted by Michele a few days later and Gino still owes Michele for damages to Michele's home.

The Ventrue this time is not held fast by the power of Presence. As Sergei swings he shifts to the left.
Dodging the wild strike of Sergei.
Accelerated in speed by Celerity he charges forward, drawing his sword and swings it towards Talisman. But that is not his intended target and the Ancient realizes it a second too late as the blade comes crashing down on Katriana.

The overwhelming feeling of being oppressed by Talisman suddenly lifts. Sadir stands in a flash he rushes past the four combatants and in his hands, now lies the dying body of Katriana!
Before Michele or Geoffroi can react, the area becomes dark, very dark. And from those shadows steps a old wizened but clearly dangerous looking man dresses in white ceremonial robes of some sort of Catholic priest. Beside him is a Templar sword draw.

Valdemar seems as confused as anyone else and sputters, "I... I... I do not know".
Criatas nods to Onfroi, "I agree. My Childe has also not arrived. Between the failure to arrive of both the Tzimisce and the Setites, Mortals spilling blood in the streets and now this, I wonder just how much control Narses has of his beloved city".
Lord Bajazet, "Agreed, we should reconvene tomorrow". He and his Childe take their leave.
"NO! We must know what is happening and we must know now!" Antoine's eyes roll back in his head and the whites of his eyes can be seen, he is using some power but what it is you cannot know.
Lord Benne turns to you Lorenzo and back to Onfroi, "I agree. Adjourning is the wisest choice. However, before we do, someone from this delegation should be selected to check on the Tzimisce and the Setites. Perhaps the Seneschal? After all, he should know more if he is handling the day to day affairs of this Domain".
Cantor shakes his head, "Let's see what the Malkavian comes back with before we leave. There are safety in numbers no, is that not part of why we are banding together in the first place?"
The Tremere Radek hovers in his spot, remaining silent.
Petradon places a hand on his Childe's shoulder, "Onfroi is correct here. We should exit".

"We must stay and learn more. While I do not pretend to understand what just happened, it worries me that all these events may have a connection. Some kindred went missing recently, some fail to make their appearance here, and the prince suddenly leaves. We can't just ignore all that, if we have a chance to find out more, at all."
Franz looks at Antoine, then Radek, finally Petradon: "Petradon, you and yours have the ability to move unseen among others. Was there anything unusual you learned in the past hours or days that would be worth sharing with the council? This may not be the time for petty politics - if an hidden enemy moves against us, we cannot allow them to pick us off one by one."
Clearly, the Ventrue intends to stay in session, at least until the Malkavian is done using his power, and - if possible - making good use of the time until then.

Petradon responds to Franz's question, "I know of no plots. But then my focus has been on the Politics of the Camarilla.
The local Nosferatu may know more but they have shared nothing with us as the Progenitor of their line, Simon, has disappeared and I appear to be held responsible. Despite there being no evidence of my involvement and despite the disappearance of his own Childe".
Antoine is still within his trance.
Radek shrugs, "I would be surprised if the Setites were behind this. Sadir has spent a century building a good reputation with the Western Princes. I know of no rivalry between he and Narses that would trigger this.
The Tzimisce VVykos may have some cross to bear due to the role of the Venetians in the Fall of the Dream a century ago. But if the Elders of his own Clan believed that I fail to understand why they would send him as a representative. I do not believe, alien as the Tzimisce way of thinking is, that they would wish to start a War with all Twelve Clans at once.
Perhaps remnants of the Cainite Heresy attack Narses for having once led and then recently abandoned them?"
Lord Benne stares at Valdemar, who turns back to him and retorts, "I have been Seneschal for a matter of days Lord Benne. Brexiano was the one with a wide net of contacts, not I. Regardless, it is indeed my duty and I will do so. I am aware of where to locate both Clan heads". He steps into the Shadows and disappears. Lord Benne sighs, "I will give the Seneschal and the Prince twenty minutes to return, then my Childe and I shall take our leave".
Cantor nods, "Let us await his return yes?"
Criatas shakes his head, "I will take my leave. I must find my Childe". The Brujah Methuselah withdraws.
Helene and her Childe confer between themselves in the meantime.

Sadir stares into the eyes of Sergei his eyes a hypnotic swirl. But the rage brought on by Michele's powers are too much for a simple hypnosis to stop. Sergei's eyes bulge as Alessandro attacks his sister, he pivots, clearly intending to strike at Alessandro next.
Before he can do so, long thick shadowy tendrils lash out at, well, at practically everyone....

Greetings Inn -
The ship is rocked by fierce winds as it pulls closer into the waters surrounding Venice. At one point as you awaken you feel as if the ship will even capsize! Other than your luggage it matters not for you left breathing behind some time ago. You did hear of a member of your Clan impaled by boards from a sinking ship and thus sent into torpor at the bottom of the sea but with your powers, it is unlikely such a fate would await you should the ship indeed capsize.
Soon enough you hear the sound of the anchor dropping, footsteps come down the stairs and a knock at your cabin followed by a voice, "Mi'lord we have dropped anchor but the waters are too choppy to safely get a boat down to row you to the city proper. I will let you know when such an opportunity presets itself". The Captain stomps up the stairs.
The rain continues to batter the ship and the winds buffet it to and fro, this is a fierce storm indeed. After a few hours you hear the rain and the wind finally let up. The Captain retrieves you and you set off in a row boat with the first mate and come of the crew. As per the agreement, they will await your return to give you a safe place to sleep for the evening. Tomorrow you will decide whether to keep the crew in case you need to make a quick getaway or whether you will send these Greek sailors back to Constantinople.
You set foot on the cobblestoned streets of Venice proper since you were a Mortal man. Then you did not know that the city is, and always has been, the Domain of the mighty Narses of Clan Lasombra. This would be the first time you will have met that esteemed member of your Clan in person as it is only proper to introduce yourself to him.
First though, you decide to head to the Inn that the Prince of Constantinople told you about, the one where his kin, Myca Vykos is staying. After all, it cannot be known who you are truly here to see...
Soon enough you arrive at the Inn, it is situated on one of the larger canals in the inner city proper, the last time you were here it was named Frutti di Mare, aptly named as it had the freshest catch each day. The place has seen better days as the front door is boarded up. Not a surprise, the Tzimisce tend to treat property not their own poorly. At least in your experience, despite their railings of how important Domains are, they are truly only concerned about their own Domains.

The Princes tendrils essentially end combat as he stalks forward and turns to Alessandro, "No".
He then looks to the man he arrived with, "Lord Stack, do you sense any taint of the infernal about her?"
The man steps forward, great sword in hand and a third eye opens upon his forehead. A light shines forth from that eye and as it strikes Katriana's body, her neck wounds heal. He arrives and stands above her.

His eyes widen, "The Neonate speaks the truth. Something is not right with her soul Prince".
Talisman shakes his head and he stands, his body language though is different. In some respects he appears to be someone else entirely!
The Prince turns to him, "Why am I not surprised that you are here, Michael. I had hoped that you could change your ways. Now I find you here involving yourself once again with Setites and then with Mortals. Mortal Hunters no less!"
Sergei steps in front of Brian Stack, "Let this Talisman save my sister or I will slay you all so help me..."
The Prince glances back at Sergei but before he can speak Talisman does, "I fear that Michael has indeed made a mess of things Prince Narses. That which we have become has given him access to abilities he was never meant to have.
This woman though should not be slain, she hovers at death's door now. Her body should be given to a man of faith that the soul can be bound to the body, else it shall be free once more to cause havoc".
Sadir's mouth drops agape, "If you are not Michael or Sebastian then who are you?"
"I am Gesu, Childe of the Dracon. Or at least I was".
The tendrils of darkness still hold fast Alessandro, Geoffroi, and Baldemar.

Gesu shakes his head, "I would take this Sergei into the Embrace. Together he and I shall find a fitting place for Katriana to rest though I may require Lord Stack's assistance in doing so. For now, you can take her soul into your own no"?
Stack sighs, "I can but it would be a risk.
Prince Narses, I would claim that Templar as my own as well. I know that I have a Childe already but if I undertake this task, it may result in my Final Death..."
Sergei swings his blade at Lord Stack, "My Sister will not..." But the tendril summoned by the Prince manages to grasp at him once more, this time it grows in size and strength and Sergei can clearly not break free.
Alyssa speaks up, "The Templar. He was to be taken by Lord Jurgen. It would be a shame to waste him. Clan Ventrue has done a great service by seeking to wipe this infernalism from your Realm. Another member of our Clan would be sufficient reward".

Narses looks back at Alyssa and releases Alessandro from his constriction, "You have not earned him yet Ventrue.
Three more Mortals have retreated into that abandoned building". The Prince points top the building where Wilhelm is likely still on the roof and Brice and Francois entered. "They are claimed by no one and must be silenced. You and your Childe will finish them, now.
Fail to do so and I can assure you, I will oppose Mithras' appointment as Justicar of your Clan".
He then turns to Michele Querini, "I have not forgotten about you. You, I and your Sire shall speak. Now".

Lord Stack approaches Geoffroi, still bound by the Arms, "Brother. You pass from this life to a new life. My other Childe shall guide you for I have a great duty before me". He bites into your neck and begins to drain you of blood!

Baldemar struggles with futility against his bonds, "God curse you all. You shall all suffer His wrath, this I promise!"
Alyssa approaches Baldemar and strokes his face, "Soon, you shall see things differently valiant warrior". His visage calms a bit as she whispers to him. Though he is still held fast by the Prince's power.
Alyssa then approaches you Alessandro, "Come, we have grim work ahead of us". She gestures to the building where the remaining Hunters have gathered.

Talisman, Gesu, whoever the hell this is moves towards Sergei who is struggling and cursing as well, "Peace. We shall ensure that your sister is laid to rest, she is not who you thought she was nor are you who you thought you were. If you cannot see it now, in tie, you will".
He sinks his fangs into Sergei's neck and begins to drain him.

Sadir places Katriana's body on the ground and bypasses Talisman draining Sergei to head towards the kneeling Michele, "My Childe. That was single stupidest thing I have ever witnessed performed by a Cainite. But, it worked". He grins. "Stand, it is time to face the Prince's wrath".
The Prince stands arms crossed, waiting, staring at you both.

Geoffroi pales as this strange.... thing heads towards him. He had been assured of a martyr’s death scant seconds ago, but now he faced eternal damnation!

“No, sweet Mary and all the saints protect this miserable sinner!”

After fifteen minutes pass, neither the Prince nor the Seneschal return.
Helene and her Childe stand up, "We will take our leave and re-convene tomorrow. I suggest that we all meet here as soon as is feasible as the sun rises".
Lord Benne is seated still but he appears to be considering leaving as well.
