But I can do it once today and would limit my spell options should we require something else. Then there is the matter of finding our way back. I am for trying to move past it but should it be hostile I would recommend killing it. It is not truly sentient."

With Ohitekah engaging Watanabe felt more comfortable advancing. He stopped short of the shore and cast a simple cantrip.

Zaraith takes out the blindheim. With the battle over you have a chance to look around. A man's body, mostly eaten, floats in the pool. Little remains to identify the body, for the blindheim has eaten most of it and has ruined its armor and clothing in the process. A belt pouch on the body’s hip is still intact and contains 42 gp, a silver unholy symbol of Zyphus, and two water-tight potions of cure light wounds.

I don't want to metagame this, but do we have any reason from the layout to expect that there's anything that needs explored up to the northwest of us, before we proceed further into the caves? If not, I'm fine with scouting down to the south, since I have the best stealth.

If nobody disagrees, Zaraith will grab the two healing potions and the unholy symbol, as well as his seven gold.

A collection of crates, boxes, rubble, and scavenged metal lies heaped in the northwest section of this damp cave. Several strange chalk drawings of twisted, spiny plants, a strange three-legged creature, and emaciated four-armed humanoids mark the walls.

She then follows Barlespin at a discrete distance, not to disturb his sneaking...
Watanabe sees Sinna take the silverdisks and says, "Would you mind if I had one of those? To study."

Barlespin moves down the south west passage. It ends at a ledge 10 feet above the floor below.
The temperature drops noticeably in this passageway, and a rime of white frost lines the walls and floor leading into the cavern beyond. What seems to be a light layer of brown dust carpets the cave floor beyond—a body of some sort sits slumped against the eastern wall.
