Downtime is the PC's level -2. You are all at lvl 1, so 1-2=0 (nothing under 0).
Successful downtime, where, for a couple of days JR collects herbs, Variel works as a gladiator, Eldon finds employ as an engineer, Tybalt gives a lesson explaining how to conduct warfare and smash one's shield, and Seeker seeks calm and quiet, and fishes. All gain 1 sp
(DC 14 to succeed in job, 5 cp / day x 2)
Arrus crafted like crazy, and got a really critical work successfully done!
Earning 4 sp (since it is a crit' success, it is calculated as if one level above, thus 2 x 2 sp)
Oh, Fumbus... he realizes that people in Osirion are still anti-Goblin, and no one purchases what he makes.
He gathers a couple measly copper coins that people tossed him thinking he was begging.
Poor Fumbus.
(failure = 1 cp/day x 2)

NOTE: I forgot to ask if anyone was NOT trained (but was Commissioned).
Sorry.
Getting the hang of what new things to ask from the players.
So...
[b]If you are commissioned, then add 50% of your Downtime earnings.
1 cp for Fumbus (I imagine Fumbus is nothing, just a pregen, no neither commissioned nor trained, just a Goblin hanging around!)
5 cp for all the others... but Arrus, who would get an extra 2 sp.
Just add this yourselves.
(I am leaving at 5:30 am tomorrow, so am scanning these now to get to you - too bad if I forgot this one day of Downtime).
Also, I am not getting into Items sold, GP spent...

Ya I never sorted out the training but I am planning on being a trained Pathfinder vs Field Commissioned, so we'll just say the consumables came and went back.
As far as gold spent and all that, we're all level 1 so within the rebuild range so it seems pretty pointless to keep track of gold until post level 2.
Also, thanks for writing out how the downtime works exactly, helps get it into my brain for the future.

That's to get the DC.
Lvl 0 = DC 14

Ah ok, so when the CRB mentions stuff about higher level DC downtimes popping up to attempt.. is that strictly non PFS or are they worked in with some scenarios or?

Sorry, I have no idea.
What page in the CRB (just to see).
But the rules I have looked at are those in the Guide, which are about Earning Income, Crafting, and Retraining.
Which are set by PFS.
There are certain things in the Faction Boons that modify Downtime.
So far I have only DMed this quest and am doing a scenario, and I did not see anything at all re. Downtime in either.
I imagine that some scenarios could have certain variants worked in, probably as Boons? (if you made this objective you get a bonus to Downtime rolls or whatever?).

So, here are your --> Chronicles <-- so you can be ready for Game Day VIII.
But please keep on posting and acting in the game here, to finish exploring, and finding out what was going on down there.

Junior, I believe there are going to be boons (either purchasable with fame or appearing on chronicles) that allow you to make your day job at a higher level for a single check.
Thanks for running, Wayfinder. It's a good chance for us to figure these little things out in a low-stress environment. :-)

Thanks!
in a low-stress environment. :-)
Says the K.O.ed monk )))
Ya tell the spellcaster its no stress when the dwarven fighter and goblin each get KO'd in a single swing in the same round, not to mention you getting clobbered in one whack too. If he had prestidigitation he'd need to use it.
As far the the discussion in the CRB about downtime checks, lemme dig up the actual book, its much easier to read than the Archives of Nethys as far as getting the gist of the rules and gameplay imo.
*The CRB mentions it on pages 237-238. Mentioning something about spending time to find jobs? Maybe via diplomacy/gather info?

Thanks for giving me the page, JR.
I just re-read it: that is for home games and such (or campaigns).
For PFS you follow the Guide, which sets the DC of the Earn Income at the level of the PC minus 2 (with 0 as the lowest).

Chronicle looks good (and amusing!) Thanks for running. It was fun AND I learned some things.
Thanks all for letting me play "the Seventh" and putting up with the goblin!
