Sorry If I missed it, but did Toot hit? Just getting a measure of these guys.
Toot hit with his last hoof attack (the 20). The measure is high.

Bumbo'kla S'agonnagin |

Bumbo frowns at his location, in between Aventail and Dol. He slips back through the warforged legs and down the stairs to give his melee minded allies room.
Withdrawal
Toot roars and pounds the goblin again
Bite: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
hoof: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
hoof: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Razkiv |

The rhythm of fighting alongside Mizzug fills Razkiv with nostalgia for his time among "The People"
He strikes at the goblin again.
Swing Axe+ Hatred: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 3 + 1 = 11
Slashing: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

GM Sphen |

@Bumbo: I went ahead and moved your piece from your last Withdrawal action. Make sure it is where you want it from that turn.
Some of the goblins have been wounded. Others struck down. But most are still standing and are rallied by the fact that they've drawn blood. And that their chief is still attacking.
Let us start with the regular goblins...
---Goblins---
The one on the stairs rallies with Chief Ripnugget to attack Dol.
vs. Dol
Sword Attack: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 2 + 1 = 7
and misses wildly.
The two near Mizzug attack at her as another one of the goblin dogs moves forward....
vs. Mizzug
Sword Attack 1: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 2 + 1 = 18
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Sword Attack 1: 1d20 + 2 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 + 1 - 2 = 7
Mizzug takes a cut across the leg (2 whole damage), and the goblin that cut her cheers himself along.
---Goblin Dogs---
Only one can attack, and steps up to do so. But the other 2 move closer to where Razkiv has been making openings.
vs. Razkiv
Bite Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
But the jaws close on empty air as Razkiv quickly moves his leg out of the way.
---Goblin Commandos---
Lots of these guys left. Starting with the two near the dogs. They each aim their bows, one at Mizzug, one at Razkiv.
vs. Mizzug
Bow Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 1 - 4 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 7 + 1 - 4 - 2 = 19
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
vs. Razkiv
Bow Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 1 - 4 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 7 + 1 - 4 - 2 = 19
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
(Razkiv, you've got a (20) after your AC. Pretty sure that denotes the shield of faith, which means the bows miss. But just in case, damage above.)
Mizzug takes another bit of damage, an arrow cutting her arm as it flies past.
The two in the northern doorway continue their attacks.
vs. Loth
Sword Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 5 + 1 = 25
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
vs. Toot
Sword Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 5 + 1 = 16
Loth takes a solid hit in the side, 6 damage.
---Goblin Bard---
The bard in the back continues his drum beating and attempts to cast a spell on Toot. Like before, charm animal does nothing to the psuedo-pig.
---Chief Ripnugget---
Feeling he's in a good position despite the damage he's taken, Chief Ripnugget continues his attacks on Dol.
vs. Dol
Sword Attack: 1d20 + 10 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 10 + 1 + 1 = 15
(As I was typing out all the bonuses, I just thought "You know, he's pretty much guaranteed to hit." And then rolled a 3. A break for Dol.)
_______
Alright, their turn over. Some damage dealt, but everyone is still standing. This looks like another really tough fight, but I think you guys can turn it around. Those commandos, I think, are your biggest consistent threat. What can you do?
Also, next week is Thanksgiving (obviously), so I'm not expecting the regular posting schedule as people enjoy their holidays.

![]() |

Continuing his assault on Ripnugget, Dol tries to envision himself in the forge, blocking out all of the distractions.
Warhammer,Hatred: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 2 + 1 = 22
Damage?: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Aventail |

Aventail swipes yet again at Rupnugget.
Don’t forget your bonus Dol if you didn’t add it...
Whenever Aventail, an order of the dragon cavalier issues a challenge, her allies receive a +1 circumstance bonus on melee attack rolls against the target of her challenge whenever she is threatening the target.
Schwiii; Ktchssttt!!!: 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 3 + 1 + 1 = 211d10 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 6 + 1 = 12 [+3 Str, +1 BAB, +1 Weapon Focus ; +6 THF, +1 challenge]
[AC 17/8/17 to any attacker except Ripnugget while challenge lasts]

![]() |

Oh, cool! I missed that previously. Doesn't look like it is needed, but +1 to the attack above.

Bumbo'kla S'agonnagin |

Bumbo waggles his fingers at the commando to the north of Loth, hoping to pause him in mid-swing.
Daze - DC14 Will save or lose action
Toot continues his assault on his own goblin.
Bite: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Hoof: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Hoof: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
That's 1d6 bleed on the bite

Loth Dalveran |

Loth takes another big hit but refuses to relent, nodding at Bumbo, trusting that his Daze will hit the mark. He strikes again!
Big Dagger: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Damage: 1d4 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
Little Dagger: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Damage: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2

Razkiv |

Razkiv ignores the snapping dog to strike at the hated goblin.
Swing Axe+Hatred: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 1 = 10
Slashing: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

Mizzug |

Feeling confident as the blood flies, Mizzug continues her game of 'whack a dog'
Swinging wildly, she realizes she needs to refocus on the task at hand.
+1 Longsword: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 for Slashing, Two-Handed: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

GM Sphen |

A couple hits on Ripnugget, but he is still up. Barely, but he fights to the death, so you'll need at least one more good hit to bring him down. And Toot hits the commando in front of him, but it continues the fight.
---Goblin---
The one near Ripnugget helps him continue to fight Dol...
vs. Dol
Sword Attack: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 1 = 4
... but a wild swing almost pushes him off the stairs.
The two near Mizzug continue their unimaginative assault...
vs. Mizzug
Sword Attack 1: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 2 + 1 = 15
Sword Attack 2: 1d20 + 2 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 + 1 - 2 = 21
Crit Confirmation: 1d20 + 2 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 + 1 - 2 = 20
Damage: 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (3, 4) + 2 = 9
... The one to the south gets a lucky hit on Mizzug.
---Goblin Dogs---
Same as last round, one can bite, so it does...
vs. Razkiv
Bite Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
...Not so lucky on the bite. Another miss.
---Goblin Commandos---
The two to the east draw their bows back, aim, and fire.
vs. Mizzug
Bow Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 7 + 1 = 18
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
vs. Razkiv
Bow Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 7 + 1 = 23
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Some more hits on the eastern front. Slowly chipping away at HP.
The ones in the northern doorway also attack.... (maybe)
WILL SAVE: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
The one in front of Loth staggers back a half-step, shakes his head, but seems to recover well enough. No actions this turn.
vs. Toot
Sword Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 5 + 1 = 9
And a miss on Toot for a whole round of nothing from that side.
---Goblin Bard---
Out of useful spells, it just continues beating its drum.
---Chief Ripnugget---
Hurt, bleeding, surrounded by bad guys, Ripnugget steps back a bit (still on the wall) and tries to increase his odds by hitting Dol hard enough to drop him....
vs. Dol
Sword Attack: 1d20 + 10 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 10 + 1 + 1 = 23
Damage: 1d4 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 5 + 1 = 7
A hit on Dol, minimum damage but it still racks up. This little guy hits HARD. But this may be his last attack?
What do you guys have left up your sleeves? Any tricks you've got, now seems like the time. You're up.

Aventail |

I’ll let Dol have first attack on Ripnugget...

![]() |

Nope, attacking is too low percentage. I need to be casting spells and healing. I can't do that here.
With Ripnugget moving out of the position that was pinning Dol on the stairs, he takes the chance to make a tactical withdrawl down the stairs, ready to heal or at least back Loth and Toot up

Razkiv |

Razkiv steps back blood flowing down his arms from the multiple wounds. he drops his axe the flames rising from his palm again, he focuses and they turn a warm blue. "эрүүл мэнд"
He touches one of the wounds and the blue fire closes it.
Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

Loth Dalveran |

Seeing Dol arrive to back them up, Loth keeps up his guard, daggers ready to parry.
"You couldn't have come at a better time, think you have some healing for me?"
Total defense.

Mizzug |

Cackling gleefully as she wipes the blood from he eyes, Mizzug subtlety changes her stance.
"No-ow's wes gettin ta da fun parts!" she shrieks, slashing at the dog again.
+1 Longsword, Defensively: 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 5 - 4 = 18 for Slashing: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
AC 20 for this round

Bumbo'kla S'agonnagin |

Bumbo looks up at Ripnugget and hops from foot to foot and then tugs his beard. Hey!
Casting Daze on him now - DC14 will save or lose action; only works on 4HD or less though.
Toot roars as this creature has the audacity to not fall down. He attacks again.
Bite plus bleed: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Hoof: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Hoof: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

GM Sphen |

Updated as of this point. Orange goblin dog goes down. We'll wait on Aventail before proceeding.

Aventail |

Damn! Post musta been eaten, I posted not long after Dol...
Aventail seems to still be near Mizzug on the map, though she should have been moved to be within reach of Ripnugget for her previous successful attack. Is she still able to reach attack, even though he has apparently moved on the wall - the map isn’t clearly indicating his vertical /lateral movement on the wall...
If possible...
Aventail slashes again with her hafted weapon.
Wskkt; Ppblpsh: 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 3 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 201d10 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15 (+3 Str, +1 BAB, +1 Weapon Focus, +1 Challenge ) (+6 THF)

GM Sphen |

@Bumbo: I'm afraid your daze spell auto fails vs. the chief. 5 levels of fighter.
@Aventail: Not sure what's going on with your map. Mine has you well away from Mizzug and over at Ripnugget. Right in front of him actually.
I went digging. I looked at your classes, checked your Archetype and redid all your math. Twice. All this because you missed Ripnugget by 1 point.
Luckily (hopefully), with his position on the wall and elevated, he's going to have to provoke in order to reach you. I presume you'll attack him and not the mount since all attacks so far have been on him.
SO LET US GET STARTED....
---Goblin Dogs---
I know I'm changing around the order, but there is a reason I'll explain at the end...
One of them steps into the newly opened space to bite at Mizzug...
vs. Mizzug
Bite Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
... and misses her leg. The other one tries to move past her to also be able to bite...
vs. Goblin Dog
Mizzug AoO: 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (15) + 5 - 4 = 16
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
... and Mizzug chops it down, breaking skin and bones as it crumbles.
---Chief Ripnugget---
As mentioned above, Ripnugget will provoke moving over and down to get at Aventail, since the dwarf was a COWARD and ran away.
vs. Ripnugget
Aventail AoO: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Damage: 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Saddle check: 1d100 ⇒ 95
Fall Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2
... AND AN AUTO-HIT FOLLOWED BY MAX DAMAGE TAKES DOWN RIPNUGGET. NOT ONLY DID AVENTAIL HIT HIM HARD, BUT THE FALL DAMAGE SENDS HIM TO THE EDGE OF OUT AND OUT DEAD. THIS DEMORALIZES THE REST OF THE GOBLINS AND GIVES THEM THE SHAKEN CONDITION. AND THE BARD IS OUT OF PERFORMANCE ROUNDS. THIS MAY TURN THE TIDE ON THIS FIGHT IF YOU CAN BUT HOLD ON A LITTLE LONGER. THIS ALSO FREES UP AVENTAIL TO HELP THE FLAGGING NORTHERN FRONT.
Oh yeah, and the lizard runs away.
---Goblins---
I'm out of flavor text, I'm so excited about that huge AoO. So two attack Mizzug, one on Aventail...
vs. Mizzug
Sword Attack: 1d20 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 - 2 = 16
Sword Attack: 1d20 + 2 - 2 - 4 ⇒ (18) + 2 - 2 - 4 = 14
vs. Aventail
Sword Attack: 1d20 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 - 2 = 10
...whole bunch of misses there.
---Goblin Commando---
Seeing the dwarf fall back, the two in the east both aim at Mizzug...
vs. Mizzug
Bow Attack: 1d20 + 7 - 2 - 4 ⇒ (20) + 7 - 2 - 4 = 21
Bow Attack: 1d20 + 7 - 2 - 4 ⇒ (11) + 7 - 2 - 4 = 12
Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 7 - 2 - 4 ⇒ (7) + 7 - 2 - 4 = 8
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
...Surprisingly still manages a hit, for just a few points of damage. Lucky it didn't confirm, obviously.
And the Commandos to the north....
vs. Loth
Sword Attack: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 5 - 2 = 17
vs. Toot
Sword Attack: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (8) + 5 - 2 = 11
Rock Attack: 1d20 + 6 - 4 - 2 - 4 ⇒ (1) + 6 - 4 - 2 - 4 = -3
... I saw Loth's hit and was like, "17, oh that might hit. Oh good, he has an 18 AC. Oh $h!t, Loth has 2 hit points left. This is a tense round.
And the one in the back is starting to pick up rocks to throw. And that is the worst miss I have ever seen. At a -3, I'm going to say he hits himself.
Damage: 1d2 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
---Goblin Bard---
He tries to target Bumbo with another daze spell...
Bumbo Will Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
...and that is BARELY a pass.
_______
This was one heck of a round. Ripnugget is down. Another dog is down. Only one person (on your team) got hit. I've never gotten this excited for a combat in PbP before. You guys can do it! Save Loth!
And as to what Razkiv said, this WILL earn you level 3. I do NOT care what the math comes out to. You'll have earned it regardless.
(Though I'm pretty sure this fight will put you almost to level 4.)

![]() |

Looking around, seeing injuries everywhere, Dol wants to channel, but won't risk healing the enemy.
Taking out the wand, he heals Loth.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Mizzug |

HA! STILL UP AT 0 HP! Perhaps...perhaps it's time to use my last 2 rounds of rage...
Seeing the enemies surge forward to encroach on Razvig, Mizzug cries out. "HEY! NO! BAD! Me friend needs a breatha. Ya kin fights me! YA LEAVE 'EM BE!"
As steam flies out of her ears, she slashes at the goblin in front of her (purple) before stepping in front of the dwarf.
Free action...Rage - No longer staggered for what it's worth...but AC is now jack didly. lol.
+1 Longsword, Rage, 2 handed: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 5 + 2 = 26 for Slashing, two-handed: 1d8 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 4 + 3 = 14
Confirm? +1 Longsword, Rage, 2 handed: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 5 + 2 = 12 for Slashing, two-handed: 1d8 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 4 + 3 = 11
Free to Rage -> 4 HP, -2 AC (AC 16 this round)

Aventail |

Seeing the chieftain fall, Aventail stomps toward Loth, stabbing over the halfling’s shoulder at a new enemy...
Against yellow...
Bzz; Fahtt!!!: 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 1 + 1 - 4 = 71d10 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15 (+3 Str, +1 BAB, +1 Weapon Focus, - 4 cover ) (+6 THF)
I’m assuming here that although Loth is Small, and Aventail can easily strike over his head, the enemy is also Small, and therefore Loth is likely providing a full penalty...

Loth Dalveran |

"Thanks!" Loth shouts to Dol. Loth looks around trying to find some space so as not to get in the way of Aventail, but the room is much too cramped.
"Looks like there's not much option but to carve our way through!"
Big Dagger: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Damage: 1d4 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2
Little Dagger: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Damage: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1

Bumbo'kla S'agonnagin |

Bumbo hears Mizzug's call and moves out the door, hoping to work his magics on new enemies. He shouts out at the goblin across from him to the east.
Look, your pants!
Daze again, on the one to the east of me - south of the dog fighting Mizzug - DC14 will save or lose action.
Toot roars and laughs at Loth in agreement, and rips into the foe before him.
Bite plus bleed: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

Hoof: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

GM Sphen |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

@Mizzug: You didn't need to confirm. You cleave the goblins head from his scrawny neck in one swing. And the RED goblin is off the board.
@Aventail: Correct on the cover. Any creature that you can't share a space with (which I believe is more than 2 size categories difference) provides soft cover unless/until you take the phalanx formation feat.
Also, the blue goblin will take an attack of opportunity on you for leaving side down the stairs...
Sword Attack: 1d20 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 - 2 = 4
... another miss.
@Loth: Don't forget to update your HP from Dol's healing.
@Bumbo: We'll apply it to the one that Mizzug didn't chop the head off of...
Will Save: 1d20 - 1 - 2 ⇒ (12) - 1 - 2 = 9
... a failure. That one is dazed.
@Dol: I don't actually have anything to say about your turn. I just wanted you to feel included.
_______
I'll wait for Razkiv's actions this turn, seeing as how this fight is so down to the wire I don't want to make any assumptions (especially for a caster). Have a good weekend everyone.

Razkiv |

Gives a clear moment the Druid takes the opening to step to the side and the flame in his hands turns hot again as he projects a bolt at one of the commandos.
fire bolt+Hatred: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 3 + 1 = 12
Fire: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Razkiv |

"Maybe we should bar this door, Mizzug do you think you can do it?"

GM Sphen |

Most of the goblins are still up, and there turn comes now...
---Goblins---
First and foremost, the blue goblin on the stairs sees the hated creature that struck down his chief fleeing like a coward (or so it thinks), and chases after it.... provoking an attack from Aventail...
Attack of Opportunity: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Damage: 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
...and Aventail chops its little head in twain.
Then the last remaining regular goblin steps up to attack Mizzug...
vs. Mizzug
Sword Attack: 1d20 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 - 2 = 3
...with a big ole whiff.
---Goblin Dogs---
Actually only one left, and it has a target right in front of it...
vs. Mizzug
Bite Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
...and BARELY misses Mizzug, even with the lowered AC.
---Goblin Commandos---
But Mizzug has another problem. One of the commandos is undazed and ready to fight...
vs. Mizzug
Bow Attack: 1d20 + 7 - 2 - 4 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 7 - 2 - 4 - 2 = 14
...but luckily the cover, melee, and shaken condition all work together to save Mizzug from unconsciousness yet again.
And the other commando in the east is dazed, as stated.
But to the north....
Red commando bleeds out, only had 1 hp left. Bumbo, make sure I'm adding bleed damage, please. Or anyone else. I know it has been said multiple times, but I keep forgetting about it. So I went back through Bumbo's rounds and I'm adding 11 damage (3d6) to the commando that was behind red, (this commando is now New Red) just to be fair.
All the above being said, that amount of damage causes New Red to flee, provoking from Toot and Loth...
Attack of Opportunity Toot: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Attack of Opportunity Loth: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
...and only by the grace of max damage does that goblin fall unconscious.
Which triggers a max exodus of the goblins. They begin to flee left, right, and center. Or just the two with turns left.
The remaining commando to the north (yellow) flees north and then turns east, a door slams open...
---Goblin Bard---
Seeing his entire protection line gone, his chief dead, and the reinforcements quickly deteriorating, the bard also flees. It follows the commando, through the opened door and down between the bow wielders and their dog towards the front gates.

GM Sphen |

We'll have another round of combat at least since not all the goblins had a chance to flee. Take it as you wish, but they are all visibly ready to gtfo.

Dol moves up behind Mizzug and applies the healing wand.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Mizzug |

Once again, Mizzug slashes away at the foes, this time aiming for the closest goblin.
"WESAGAVESYACHANCETRRUN!" she shrieks, excitement boiling over as she brings the sword around.
+1 Longsword, Rage, 2 handed: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 5 + 2 = 14 for Slashing, tow-handed, rage: 1d8 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 4 + 3 = 14
Last round of rage, AC -2

Loth Dalveran |

Loth slumps down for a bit, having not the chance nor the desire to hunt down the last stragglers. "Gods, that took a lot out of me. I really need to work on my muscles."

Aventail |

Aventail carefully stows her glaive guisarme and stomps off to near the doorway where Mizzug ended many goblins. She picks up her heavy crossbow and begins to load it.

![]() |

With the goblins out of the way, Dol gathers everyone around for some mass healing.

He then plods back over to Ripnugget and begins examining the chief's possessions.

Bumbo'kla S'agonnagin |

Gotcha, can do!
Toot roars out in anger. You won't escape me! He rushes to the north, following in pursuit, enveloped in his rage.
Moving into C16 and attacking Yellow
Bite: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Bumbo looks up, concerned. No, wait! His shoulders slump as Toot rages on. Bumbo, instead of following, walks over to Loth and puts his hand on his shoulder. You okay buddy?

Razkiv |

With Mizz chopping down the last melee goblin down Razkiv flings a bolt of fire at the fleeing bard.
fire bolt+Hatred: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 1 = 6
Fire: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

16/17 for me, Dol

![]() |

Sorry, thought we were out of initiative now. Obviously my channeling hasn't happened yet.

Razkiv |

it was mostly a parting shot from me, I think we are about to drop out of combat

Mizzug |

If I don't get hit anymore, I'll be down 8 after applying the channel. Thanks for keeping me up Dol. :-)

GM Sphen |

We are still very much in combat. There are still combatants on the board, and a lot of missed swings. Not a one of your attacks have landed this round. Mizzug missed the goblin near her, Toot missed the Commando, Razkiv obviously missed with a 6.
Would anyone like to change what they did? Mizzug, Razkiv, Bumbo/Toot all took combat actions. If you don't do anything, they will probably flee. But they might take some parting shots as they go.

Aventail |

I’m only wondering whether I’ll cop any AoO’s for picking up my crossbow...

Loth Dalveran |

Loth's good, no action change for him Actually, no.
Loth moves north to back up Toot, but isn't fast enough to actually reach the goblin.

Bumbo'kla S'agonnagin |

I don't want to slow anything down, but Toot wouldn't stop until that commando is dead, he's dead, or Bumbo banishes him.
Bumbo moves over to the others, staying in the group as he sheepishly looks down at Toot's roar. He's got the bloodlust...want me to call him back?
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Hoof: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Hoof: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

GM Sphen |

@Aventail: You would. Both the goblin and goblin dog would get an AoO.
@Bumbo: Hold onto those attacks. Toot used his turn to move and attack already, the goblins would get another turn before he gets to do anything else.
@Everyone: I'll give Razkiv and Dol a bit to respond. And to be blunt, since this is the day before Thanksgiving, I probably won't be back on until Monday since I'll be at home with the family for the next few days.
So Happy Thanksgiving everyone and enjoy the short break.

Nothing to change here

I used the wand on my turn this round. The channeling and searching will wait till future turns

Alright then, let's have the goblins do their thing.
---Goblin---
This little guy runs; not tactics, no withdraw, just gtfo. This would provoke from Mizzug...
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
and Aventail...
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
...Both of which miss. He doesn't get far, however, as he has to stop and open the door leading out.
---Goblin Dog---
The dog has no sense of the morale of the others (not while in combat anyway) and is still unhurt, so it keeps attacking...
vs. Mizzug
Bite Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
...and it misses. Fierce, but not very accurate.
---Goblin Commandos---
Seeing the fight not going their way, and doing so fast, the two to the east take some parting shots as they head out the door...
vs. Mizzug
Bow Attack: 1d20 + 7 - 4 - 2 - 2 ⇒ (18) + 7 - 4 - 2 - 2 = 17
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
vs. Aventail
Bow Attack: 1d20 + 7 - 4 - 2 - 2 ⇒ (9) + 7 - 4 - 2 - 2 = 8
...and they manage a parting hit on Mizzug. Not a lot of damage, but she doesn't have a lot left in her.
The Commando to the north (Yellow) considers trying to take on the pig-creature, but decides better of it when Loth shows up with his daggers. It flees, out the open door and onto the bridge head.
---Goblin Bard---
Runs. Pure and simple, down the bridge, off the map, escapes.
_______
So I was incorrect. We will have still more combat rounds. The dog hasn't been given a retreat order, hasn't been hit yet, and Toot will hopefully end this fight the way I imagine it.
