Farmageddon

Good move with the mist. Sadly, not everyone is in it. But it'll be there if they want it at least.

---Mizzug, Bot---
Mizzug double moves to get closer to the archer, passing Raz.
Raz and Mizzug now have a house between themselves and the archer. At least for now. Double move action.

---Goblins, Regular---
Blue sees himself outnumbered, but then luckily for him, almost all his enemies disappear. Out of sight, out of mind, after all. Now he can focus on his new dinner that just so graciously moved next to him.
Blue Goblin attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Short Sword Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Turning his attention to Toot, he cuts another slice along his flank, this time doing more damage this his now dead compatriot.

Green and Red, however, are stuck....still.
Green Goblin escape artist: 1d20 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 - 2 = 3
Red Goblin escape artist: 1d20 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 - 2 = 12

Green Goblin escape artist 2: 1d20 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 - 2 = 12
Red Goblin escape artist 2: 1d20 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 - 2 = 7
Struggling futilely, they both remain trapped for another round.

---Goblin, Special---

GM Info:
Perception check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

Cursing in goblin about "stupid spells and their stupidness", the mounted goblin turns his attention to the only threat it can see clearly, Toot. He draws another arrow and fires....
Short Bow attack: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (18) + 5 - 2 = 21
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1
...and adds another thin line of red to Toot's hide as his arrow strikes him and whizzes past. The goblin jumps up and down in its saddle with glee, patting the "dog" on the side of the neck and pointing at Toot in excitement.

---Dog, The---
Not having any new commands and still seeing his target alive, the dog moves in to bite again.
Dog Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Bite Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Getting its teeth into the goblin's leg, the dog manages to tear out a rather sizable chunk of goblin flesh as the little monster screams in pain.

In Goblin:
AAAHHHHHH!!!! Stupid dog. I kill you! I eat you! I hate you dog!!!

---"The Fop"---
Keeping low, gripping the mace tightly, the man runs off to the north, meeting with Raz and Mizzug as they begin to move around the house to get to the mounted goblin. Double move action.

The sounds of battle continue to echo around you from the other streets in the town. However, anyone who takes the time to notice, begins to hear that they are waning. For good or ill, the battle with the goblins seems like it may be coming to a close.

This one seems to be almost over. Will our heroes survive unscathed? Will a last minute rally from the goblins lead to PC death? Found out next time!

---Goblin, Regular---
It's hard to think of new flavor text for them continuing to try and get out of the entangle. So, what do you guys think of this flavor text? Vanilla, chili powder, beef bouillon.

So, after a brief ray of hope, failure. Both goblins manage to get out of the entanglment, the grease coating them to the point where they are able to wriggle free.
The green goblin then crawls away on all fours, but is unable to escape the grasping plants and is once again entangled (and still considered prone).
The red goblin tries to run away, but slips on the grease and falls. He is now prone, and spent his move action trying to move. So he stays there and is entangled once again. And still in the grease.

Well, lets start with Loth. There is no specific rule about whether high or low hits the miss chance. So in the future, for everyone, low numbers are bad on the concealment. 20% miss chance means 1-20 misses. 50% miss chance means 1-50 misses.

@Dol: I honestly don't remember where he was in the mist. Either way, he hit. So if I messed up, it was in your guys favor and thus I'm not likely to mess with it.

@Loth: Make sure you mention which target your attacking. I'm assuming the red one since that was your target last time and took it off the map.

@Bumbo: Don't forget that Toot is now entangled as he ended his turn in the vines.

@Aventail: Moved.

A lot of build up to this round as people got into position, but a good round for you guys. One more goblin down, another severely hurt, the mounted one trapped up against the entanglement. Let's see how this goes.

Farmageddon

@Aventail: You did want to keep one alive. Do you really want to risk killing the red one? Non-lethal damage in excess of current hit points becomes lethal damage, which would destabilize him.

@Bumbo: Make sure you're telling me which enemy you're targeting with your spells.

@Raz: You are correct, they are prone. Which means........

Two of Toots attacks hit. His first bite going in and knocking the goblin senseless. Expecting the goblin to try and dodge (not realizing that it was rendered unconscious), Toot's first hoof strike misses its target. But the second one finds contact and deals further damage. Then Dol moves in a finishes the poor beast off

---Goblin, special---
Feeling relatively safe from the yawning woman who can barely heft her weapon, the mounted goblin turns his hateful eyes on Raz, an unconditional hatred burning from his gaze.
5 foot step and attack Raz.
Shortsword attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
But clearly Raz belies his stout stature with a nimble move that boogles the mind so much I can't even describe it here for fear of causing you all to suffer from chronic migraines from how amazing this move was.

---Dog, The---
It moves up to the edge of the fountain platform and begins barking at the other goblin, still staying next to Bumbo.

---"The Fop"
Making a quick calculation, "The Fop" tries a risky move to get around the other side of the goblin rider.
Acrobatics to tumble: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Moving swiftly and evasively, he fails to avoid drawing an attack from the goblin.
Mace Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 4 + 2 = 22
Mace Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 & Precision Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 5) = 10

Goblin AoO: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Goblin Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Trading blows, "The Fop" manages to come out on top of this and knocks the goblin rider completely out and off his mount. Seeing its chance, the goblin dog bolts, you guys take it down..... COMBAT OVER!!!
Congrats guys. You did it!
535 exp. added to the campaign total. Less than 400 away from leveling up.

As this fight comes to an end, you all (except Aventail, of course) breath heavily as the blood pumps through you. You don't often get such periods of high adrenaline, but it is also not new to most of you. The sounds of fighting seem to be finished all over town, and down some of the streets you see people carrying wounded (presumably) towards the cathedral, and others moving about with buckets of water trying to put out the numerous small fires started by the goblins.

"The Fop" grins wearily as he moves towards Aventail to return the mace. "Thank you, my friends. My name is Alderan Foxglove. And I hope I may call you all friends now. I thought it was just a matter of time, until you all came along and saved me. Please, call upon me at the Rusty Dragon. I have a room there, and would like to reward you for your efforts. As I'm sure the town will for the number of lives you've saved by killing all these beasts. Until then, good luck and gods bless you all."
He moves off towards the Dragon, flexing his arm as he goes as though it still pains him.

The dog, now quiet, sniffs around before coming back to Bumbo, nudging his hands for pets and trying to avoid Toots.

What would you folks like to do next?

I’m not au fait with the integration of non-lethal damage beyond 0 hit points. And I’d wager neither is Aventail. She did what she did in an attempt to take the creature prisoner. If she failed, and killed it, so be it. Live by the goblin-song, die by the glaive-guisarme. That’s life, (and death) in the small settlement.

Aventail nods rather mechanically as Alderan returns her weapon. She walks to her discarded halberd and stows it at her back before rejoining her companions.

Bumbo laughs in spite of the situation, and claps Dol on the back...as high as he can reach, that is. Did just fine even without the armor, now didn't you. The gnome humbly offers his thanks for the healing - berries and divine energies alike.

Toot nods at Mizzug and stays close to the barbarian, seeming to feel that she had the best chance at finding more action. Though he had taken some hits, the challenge of being damaged seemed to spur the pig on and want even more.

Bumbo nods to Razkiv. Indeed, and see who we can help in this madness. Shall we maybe stick to small groups of two and head out into the town to see who may need some more help?

If no one has an objection, that's what Bumbo will do, with whomever wants to join him. Basically, just looking for people who may need to be bandaged, or have aid even just cleaning up broken furniture, windows, doors, etc. Then, off to the Rusty Dragon.

Almost as an afterthought, Bumbo turns to the dog and pats his thigh. C'mon boy; let's see if we can find your caretaker.

Loth nods at the dwarves' discussion. "I've not been one for fights in my life so far, and I'm glad this baptism of fire was in good company, for what little silver lining that offers to this disaster. Thank you for that"

He looks around at the town, this peaceful (mostly) welcoming town, torn apart by this awful attack. The whole thing has left him rather sad, now that the adrenaline of combat has died down.

"A town like Sandpoint is rare, I think. I've gotten the impression that this town is a haven that welcomes all, and offers them a chance for happiness. No prejudice or judgment of the past. To me, it's important that places like these are cherished."

Loth stays quiet for a little bit and then nods. "My plans were to return home after the festival, but I think I'll stay a while longer. My combat prowess may not be great, but I want to do what I can to protect this town."

He nods at Bumbo's suggestion and offers to head up to the cathedral with someone. "Odds are there'll be enough to do there, considering the activity there when the attack started."

Farmageddon

About the goblins: Each had a set of small sized, smelly leather armor. Poorly made and even more poorly maintained. Each had a dog slicer (basically a small sized short sword with the fragile condition). The mounted goblin also had a short bow (with 10 arrows left), and a MW Dogslicer. Also a

potion DC 12:
of cure light wounds
. The singing goblin had small sized studded leather armor, a small sized whip, and another potion (same as the first). There is nothing else of note on these creatures.
K(Local) DC12:
Goblins abhor writing. Reading and writing is outlawed by goblin tribes.

As to how they got past the walls...simple enough. The town isn't walled in. There is some wall on the north end of town where the road comes in, but Sandpoint relys on the river that runs down one side and then curves into the water to protect the east and south, and the cliffs to protect the west. Mixed with the fact that they've never been attacked like this as well. So you are correct in that this is unusual behavior for goblins.

As you all split up into town, you notice that the people are seemingly shell shocked by the suddeness of the attack. There are surprisingly few casualties, but a great deal of injuries. Many buildings have suffered fire damage, but none have been destroyed. Some parts of town were completely unaffected. It becomes apparent to you as you see more of the town, that this was a raid. But that leads to the question, "What was the purpose of the raid?"

Armor and shields are gathered, wounds are healed. The cathedral is packed with people who need medical help. Father Zantus has called upon every able bodied person who has even the most basic of medical knowledge to gather here and treat wounds.

Mayor Devrin can be seen near the town hall, outside, talking with Sheriff Hemlock and other town leaders.

As Bumbo makes his way through town, he hears a small voice calling out. Petals!! Petaaaaalls!! At this sound, the dogs ears perk up and he looks towards the sound, then over at Bumbo. The dog begins barking, which draws a young human boy and (presumably) his mother. The boy runs up to the dog and throws his arms around her as the mother breathes a heavy sigh of relief. She looks at Bumbo (and anyone else who's with him) and says with tears in her eyes, Oh, thank you. Thank you so much. Poor Petals got hurt. Aeren insisted he saw her at the square before we ran, but I prayed he was wrong. I don't know who you are, but thank you. My name is Amele Barrett. This is Aeren. Thank you so much.

If any of you seek out Alderen Foxglove at the Rusty Dragon, a halfling woman who works there tells you that he is not in. He came in sometime after the attack, but has left again. She doesn't know where but he still has the room and didn't leave with his stuff.

You guys will have a little more time to do things. Assume everything you mentioned (getting armor and shield, going to the cathedral, sitting down) all happened successfully. Monday I will get us a post that takes us into the evening time (around 5 or 6 o'clock. So don't go past that.
