With a wand of CLW. In the past, Yuri has provided me with a wand of infernal healing that I use upon him.
Ok good. Keep your Heal spell and I will keep my two heal spells for combat or to remove nasty conditions.
Channeling is efficient as is summoning in creatures to heal us.
Liliend Azata are good for example.
Before any group healing we should make sure that these insects are dead, dead.
On Hiatus
They had about 20 and 40 hit points respectively before Bombshell unloaded. They are in tiny pieces. I did not use the word disintegrate without purpose.
CG Half-Elf Summoner 13
Toss 'em in the tar pits for later archeologists to find, and ponder their fates. =)
On Hiatus
Better that than Omrax getting thrown through the blade barrier into the tar. ;) Let me know what you want to do when you have finished healing up.
CG Half-Elf Summoner 13
You know... I should really get a extradimensional space item for the eidolon, so I can mimic loading stuff into the hold =)

@Mage - *ahem* I am a priest of Asmodeus. I certainly do not need to summon an Azata, nor is the Dark Lord likely to send one if I did ask.

@Hamish - a portable hold?
Ha, ha. ; )
CG Half-Elf Summoner 13
Ha!
OK, that was funny. =)
CG Half-Elf Summoner 13
Heh, nice that they give you something to help recover someone who gets stuck in the ethereal plane during that. =)
No clue what a monstrification staff was. Had to look it up.
Never seen something that only alchemists could charge up like that before!
On Hiatus
*all eyes turn to Bombshell*
Actually better for someone that likes to use Monstrous Physique I all the time. My seeker Archaeologist Bard spends a good deal of his time in Gargoyle form. ;)
@Kasimir - It was really meant for Hamish's ears as he has SM VI on tap but we have enough healing on hand not to go begging yet.
@Grandmaster TOZ - I was less concerned with the Paladin at the time but in retrospect he was in greater danger than I imagined.

When the scenario gives you a wand of Restoration charged with diamond dust you know it is not a good sign. :)
CG Half-Elf Summoner 13
Hamish rarely uses his summon ability. =)
I think in my 12 level career to date, I've used it 4 times... including that babau earlier.
On Hiatus
Most summoners I have seen are the same. Why bother when your main summon can kill an xacarba?*
CG Half-Elf Summoner 13
Hey, I didn't even bother optimizing the Gull (Else he'd have pounce!)
Just kind of added things that fit my ship image.
It really is hard to mess up an eidolon.
On Hiatus
My brother started off with a chain chomp idea (one big bite) and then he crossed paths with a chaos beast. Now it’s a shuma-gurath nightmare of tentacles and eyes. Shigeru gets called for the dangerous missions that require blenderizing.
CG Half-Elf Summoner 13
The whole build-a-beareidolon thing, does lead to some fun character concepts, to be sure!
Been working on an unchained small-sized idea (based off an old dnd magic item name) ... but haven't got to play it much to date (mostly GM credit) to get a good feel for how it will work out. (The Carnivorous Balloon!)
Unchained handcuffs some of the truly out there ideas somewhat, and takes a little longer to bring other concepts to fruition... but so far so good.
Just need my static charge, and I'm set!
Well the unchained version was banned for a reason. However to be fair in PFS I do not know if an Unchained Summoner is more useful than a full caster at higher levels.
The Eidolon does seem much better than an animal companion. No question.
CG Half-Elf Summoner 13
I think that's mostly due to being able to get the Armor Class quite high, to survive the low hp's. The crappy saves are its usual downfall =)
My previous Dino had an AC of 43. This was without really trying. They die because of their lousy saves and low touch AC.
Edit - Eidolon are generally more intelligent and can be customized up the wazoo thus making them more useful at higher levels.
CG Half-Elf Summoner 13
Or was it owner abuse?
PETA is still watching you for those hawk shenanigans earlier... don't give them more fuel!
(Looks Guilty)
This character has had so many AC deaths. At least four that I can remember. Killing ACs generally placate bloodthirsty GMs. ;)
The last one was roasted in the first combat of the Walking Rune. BBQ Dino.
In fact his jaded past is the RP reason for the switch to the Eagle domain and a figment familiar. Whisper is not actually 'alive' but a figment of my character's imagination. He elected to be eaten by the insect. Really. :)
On Hiatus
I killed a rangers animal companion four times over the course of a module. It helped that there was enough travel time between killings that he could summon another each time.
Map is updated, please confirm everyone is good with character placements and if there were any other preparations you felt necessary.
Wrong thread Kasimir.
@Grandmaster TOZ - See what I mean. Sacrificial lamb and all that. :)
Cleric (evangelist) 13 | HP: 120 |AC: 25/ FF 23/ T 14 | Fort: +16 Ref: +11 Will: +20| Perception: +21| Init: +4
@TOZ - I’m right to think that from the tar pit, we go up the stairs, and then have the choice of two stairs leading down, or vaulting the railing and jumping to the lower floor?
Male Half Elf -Paladin 14 (-1 abyss ac) AC31/T14 /F30/CMD28| Hp 142/144 | Fort:+23;Ref:+16;Will+19(27) |Percept.+10 | Init.+3. { }
So we arrived here with how much time since the end of the combat? I am thinking airwalk(130min) is still up as well as resist energy (90min).
On Hiatus
Effectively yes. They didn't bother much with the exterior of the temple. Think of it like the ziggurat, only larger and with an actual entrance to the inside.
Cleric (evangelist) 13 | HP: 120 |AC: 25/ FF 23/ T 14 | Fort: +16 Ref: +11 Will: +20| Perception: +21| Init: +4
Hide from undead is also up on everyone.
CG Half-Elf Summoner 13
can you mark the gnome/camp on the map?
Omrax - You are still good. It has only been 4 minutes total.
@Hamish - Are you willing to cast the scroll of Ablative Barrier on my character? It is on your spell list and my character is providing the scroll. I just need to know. Or should I just assume that this is something that your character would do out of combat and not ask going forward?
@Kasimir - Good to know. Always handy.
On Hiatus
Once marching order is confirmed, yes.
On Hiatus
Kasimir vonVang wrote: ...or vaulting the railing and jumping to the lower floor? I should mention there is no railing. The ledges end in open space with nothing to arrest a fall.
CG Half-Elf Summoner 13
ya, scroll used, Rokgurn.
Why are we letting Hamish talk in the game thread? I know that he probably has the highest Charisma and will not shut up no matter what but his tact (bad pun) is hardly helpful even if it is completely in character. Blasted chaotics. ;)
Of course if we fall to combat that is ok as well. :)
CG Half-Elf Summoner 13
Heh. Screw Torch! =)
Big pet peeve of mine, those folks who try to paint him in a sympathetic light (in and out of character)... they've not been paying attention.
The guy's a bastard through and through.
On Hiatus
I will try to be balanced in my portrayal of him when the time comes. :P
No doubt and I am sure that Torch will get what is coming to him. But who knows what the motivation of this Gnome is and there also can be real corruption inside the society as well. You only know what you know. I want proof.
He/Him
He/Him Human
*gets the broom* That's enough outta you.

@Hamish - it REALLY depends on what mods you’ve played. If you’ve done all of them, then I agree with you. But it would be possible to play Torch’s first appearance, and then not see him again (or with this character, at least) until this mod.
On Hiatus
As you may have guessed, I've played them all, I'm solidly in his camp, and I think Rivalry's End was a doppleganger plot.
Male Half Elf -Paladin 14 (-1 abyss ac) AC31/T14 /F30/CMD28| Hp 142/144 | Fort:+23;Ref:+16;Will+19(27) |Percept.+10 | Init.+3. { }
I think Omrax was in either his first or second scenario with Torch. He was not a fan of the man to put it kindly.
@Kasimir - Yes I agree with your assessment. Although a lot of veteran players I know would agree with Hamish. I know of one GM that has played virtually everything and he wants to bathe in Torch's blood.
Generally I find the society's behavior questionable at times and wonder how Good aligned characters are able to justify their loyalty to the society.
CG Half-Elf Summoner 13
Every early appearance of Torch, he was a bastard too... =)
I have a feeling we will not be actually seeing him until part 2. At least not in any meaningful way. Just a hunch as I do not actually know. We will see.
On Hiatus
Something I was just trying to confirm, did this get submitted as a gameday game? There is mention of it but I don't find it on the player signup sheet.
CG Half-Elf Summoner 13
It was...
Part I and II were submitted...
It's on the 'Other Recruitment' tab on the original signup sheet (GM listed name as Zack Ringler)
But clearly part II isn't going to happen during Gameday. =)
