I think you forgot Reginar and his allies. Also, do we have a map? Where is everyone?
Those people of Reginars are noncombatants. You must have posted while I was editing. Put yourself anywhere in the room and take your turn.
Razmir on beats up those who mock our God, and we rob those who don't give to our God. The God Razmir protects us and to not give to him means we will all suffer. And you all traitors shall be dealt with.

Heroes down the last priest. The "new recruits" put on the mask and somewhat torn robes from the battle and you all head into the temple. As you head back in, you run into Krant, a black robed person of high rank along with two acolytes. There you are all, one more minute and I would have been looking for you all. He points to the "priests" It looks like you had a rough performance, I don't want to know, just get in.
He stops you all at the door. I need you to do a favor. This baker named Welton is a couple of payments behind on his protection money. I need you to get it from him at all costs. I also need you to wreck the place to teach him a lesson. We three will all wait just outside his place while you all go in.

![]() |

Hal is flabbergasted that the priests of Razmir so casually dismiss the blood-splattered white robes of the various acolytes.
He remains somehow surprised to hear this casual request from the priest. "Um ... Okay. How much does this Welton owe? What do we say if we're caught by the guard trashing the bakery?"

DoubleGold |

Don't worry about the town guards, we've already told them he owes us money, besides we will be waiting out here in case they hear noises. So go in there, trash the place, beat him up and collect the 100 gold he owes us. When you are done, and please take no longer than thirty minutes doing this, come out and get us, and we will all go in together to see how good of a job you did.

![]() |

"OK, guys let's go!"
when they enter the bakery
"Good day sir!" says Edwin to baker Welton.
"I know how it looks like, but it is not like that. Just be quiet and listen."
"We are not priests of Razmir! We just pretend that we are. Our assignment is to wreck your bakery and collect 100gp from you."
"This is what shall we do. Listen carefully! We will wreck part of your bakery and I will pay you for damage and you will give me 100gp for Krant.
But later when we are done with those Razmirans I will return with your money. I will give you my money if needed but I can't give it to you now because it is in safe place. Do we have a deal?!"
"If you don't agree with me Krant will come here and he will collect money and wreck your bakery."

Did the dead priests have any equipment or money on them?
On the way to the bakery, Hal says quietly to the others when their priest escorts are ahead. "100 gold isn't some two-bit protection hustle. This is a major shakedown. How isn't the merchants haven't alerted the guard to what is going on?"
Hal nods. "And keep track of the expenses to repair the bakery. We will do our best to reimburse those expenses as well."
Diplomacy(assist): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14

![]() |

"Indeed. It will be all the more justifying when we finally shut this down." Sentinel agrees with Hal.
"Or have us make it look like a lot of damage but would only cost time. We could rip some almost empty sacks of flour and spread that around. Destroy some loaves of bread that will go bad soon anyways. We could finish my wine off and smash it as well."
Aid: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16

DoubleGold |

Normally the priests do have equipment on them, but no gold. However they were ambushed, hence unarmed, unshielded, etc.
24 on diplomacy, more than enough to avoid combat from the baker
Okay sounds like a plan, but don't beat me up, just make it look like you did You then wreck the place, collect his gold, and do a make up job to make him look like you beat him up.
Five minutes later you exit the building and pay Krant the money he owes you, Krant and his two acolytes go in with you all. He closes the door behind you all. He sees the mess. It looks like you did a good job. He then picks up Welton the baker, grabs him by the collar. Let this be a lesson if you fail to pay again.
He then looks at you all. Any last words you'd like to say to Welton?

DoubleGold |

Alright rest up, you all have a big day tomorrow.
He leads the way in front, you trail behind by 20 feet or so. Your contact whispers too as you leave and Krant does not look back or notice. I believe there are some documents in the high priests tower of the building you're in, sneak up there, steal them and escape. Dispatch or avoid anyone in your way.
You will all get a long rest, do any healing or anything else you need.

DoubleGold |

Having been there for several days, do we at this point pretty much have the run of the place? Or are we still locked up at night?
full map will be provided, there are some restricted areas, though you will be given back the priest robes since you killed three and the boss robes since you killed one. Reginar came up behind you as you were walking
0. You wake up, the others give your robes back, you have three priest robes and 1 arch priest robe.
1. Your goal is to get to the room marked on the map. You start in the basement, need to get to the second floor.
2. Some rooms are off limits to acolytes, so change robes if you need to enter other rooms. You cannot have 3 priests and 3 acolytes in a restricted area, that is still a violation.
3. All archepriests must be eliminated
4. Some acolytes can be made friendly if you are in acolyte robes via diplomacy. Others can be fooled, tricked, or lied too in any robes.
5. You will not be attacked unless you are in caught in a restricted area, set off an alarm or you attack first.
6. Priests can't be fooled or made friendly, but you need not to eliminate all of them, doing so does help.
7. You must escape once you get the documents from the second floor. There are two possible escape routes.
8. If you decide to attack a group in a room, make sure you can eliminate them in one full round, plus top of next round, otherwise the alarm is raised on turn 2 of their round. You may need to do this, like if the room contains a single acolyte and you don't want to deal with him later, or a room contains 2 priests and you want more robes. If you are caught in a restricted area, make sure you can take out the group in one full round, plus top of next round.
9. Good luck.
In the basement bedroom room you are in are your friends and eight other acolytes.
Did you hear about the robbery me and the guys pulled off it was great.

DoubleGold |

The Sentinel finds there is nobody in the hallway or the kitchen, and there is nothing there of interest. It is actually safe to split the party for now, just don't start combats with a split party, unless you plan to fail a combat. Psst, with eight acolytes in the bedroom with you all, you should knock them out, or preferably make them friendly, it can and will come back to bite you if you don't.

![]() |

Edwin asks acolytes. "Guys why are you here and are you happy here? Is there something we can do that we become better friends with you? Do you have some information about this place that we should know also?"
diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

![]() |

Behind his mask, Hal rolls his eyes at the paladin. "Yeah, I gotta go to the loo, myself." He follows Sentinel out.

DoubleGold |

Well, nobody is listening, so, we can discuss this.
• The acolytes universally fear the High Priestess (Iramine, though none of them know her actual name) and make up all sorts of exaggerated stories about her powers and abilities. She has been gone on some important mission since a few days before the PCs joined the temple.
• All of the acolytes despise Master Egarthis. Most bear scars from his lash, and they all complain that he is impossible to please and obviously enjoys inflicting pain. Unfortunately, they fear him far too much to do anything about it.
• The acolytes hold little respect for Krant. They know he is easily fooled and believe him an incompetent instructor. Still, they know not to openly defy him, and rumor has it that he once choked an acolyte to death for mocking his girth.
The acolytes believe the temple has a number of secret areas, and most suspect some sort of torture lies in a chamber beyond the iron door in area T7, due to the screams that can sometimes be heard coming from it. Another diplomacy to know more.
The acolytes have a working understanding of the Razmiri faith (Knowledge [religion] +4) and can recite much of the information concerning the clergy found in the Appendix. Despite what they know, most are enthusiastic about climbing the ranks, hoping one day to wear a golden mask themselves
Congrats, these eight Acolytes are friendly and won't turn on you if an alarm is raised.

Hey you know all us new guys have to stick together. We're certainly not on the in crowd at the top yet.
diplomacy aid Edwin to make friend: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
To the one or two that seem most friendly or paranoid, Psst! Did you hear the rumor? Someone is saying that the higher ups know the guards are on their way tomorrow to make arrests for the robberies, racketeering, and pick-pocketing. Iramine and Egarthis are going to take all the loot. Then leave us acolytes locked up to take the fall for them!
