(Hmm, the RNG has not been very kind to the party this combat...)

Krennel rather mysteriously starts playing with the linen. Yen Wu keeps his mind at the task at hand, and slams the cold iron weapon into tiny demon, bruising flesh and cracking bones. The quasit screams in pain and anger for this time, its abyssal nature is no protection against the weapon. Buoyed by the attack. GAB! continues his relentless strikes, but his attacks either fail to connect or were unable to hurt it. Rel and Rithon attempt to assist in their own ways, but neither were successful.

(Gab!, I made a mistake earlier. When the quasit entered your square, even though it was a 5-foot step, it would have provoked an AoO. Go ahead and retcon that one attack.)

(Rel, I forgot to mention that you need to continue making fort saves until the poison is cleared or its duration ends.)

(Krennel, the pillow trick would require a CMB check.)

Kebro's tough constitution finally fights off the poison completely, even as he heals himself. Rel unfortunately is still struggling with the poison as he feels his body gradually stiffening further.

After getting hit by Yen Wu, the little quasit's stares in horror at the cold iron weapon in his hand. It has become quite badly injured, so rather than further, it stop its attacks, concentrates and starts to disappear...

It is using an SLA which provokes AoO from everyone (except Kebro). Can all those bolded below just post your AoO? The results will determine the rest of the quasit's actions.

Yen Wu tried to hit the creature but had a hard time with everyone in his way.


Even as the quasit is momentarily distracted from the combat, it stays nimble enough to dodge the clumsy attacks of GAB!, Elytria and Yen Wu. However, Krennel and Rel, with a pillowcase between them, manage to entangle the little demon between them. (Flavor text. Because of Krennel creative use of the pillow case, I'll jump the grapple state to pinned directly.)

Despite this, the demon still manages to fade away from view, but with Krennel and Rel holding him in place, it is not difficult to pinpoint where it is! (Only concealment, i.e. 20% miss chance. Krennel and Rel, because you have a hold on him, has no concealment penalty to maintain grapple.)

The entangled quasit does not stand a chance. Aiming for the wriggling form entangled in the pillowcase, Yen Wu brings the cold iron mace down on it, smashing it against the wall.You hear a loud crunch. Before it could heal itself further GAB! follows up with two more strikes, pretty much smashing and dicing the little demon into goo. Krennel and Rel are left holding a pillowcase of greenish slime dripping...

Perhaps invigorated by the victory, Rel also manages to purge the poison completely from his body.

Rel, I botted the earlier fort saves that you missed, but I'll take these as your subsequent ones.

As silence finally descends upon the inn, the few residents, led by Alcie the innkeeper troop over. Conscious of the Mayor's warning earlier, you quickly close the door and make up some excuse about Rel having some nightmare. Alcie looks skeptical but since she has already decided that outsiders are strange people, eventually didn't question further and shooed everyone back to the their rooms.

You do what you can to put the room back in order, stuffing the pillocase to one corner to be burnt the next morning, while using whatever resources you have to heal up somewhat. (A reminder that you found a potion of lesser restoration earlier.) Exhausted by the assault, you try to catch whatever sleep you can.

You do manage to rest for 8 hours to recover your spells, etc but how are you healing up, especially the Dex damage? Ability damage recovers 1 point over the 8 hours.

I believe we used the potion to revive one of the people at the spider house. Unfortunately, I think at level 1 we just need to suck it up and carry on with some ability damage.

Patching your wounds as wounds as best as you ca, the Pathfinders catch a night of uneasy sleep before setting off to the warehouse early next morning, hoping that Gellion would indeed be there and that they can finally put the demonic invasion to rest.

The rusty side doors of this large, dingy warehouse are slightly ajar, as if someone forgot to close them entirely. Sprawled across the door and the southern side of the building are thick, disgusting, purplish-black strands that pulse with malevolence. The double main doors to the left that seems to lead to the warehouse proper is firmly closed.

This swarm of diminutive spiders are immune to weapon attacks because each spider is simply too small to be affected.
For every 5 that you beat the DC, you may ask for one piece of information from this list.

(Not putting the knowledge(planes) on their fiendish nature because you've encountered enough to know that. They have resistance to cold and fire, slight spell resistance, and able to smite good once a day.)

Remember that you found six flasks of acid, two flasks of alchemist’s fire, two tanglefoot bags earlier. However, if that is not enough, you are in the town with an apothecary who can supply you what you need. Or find another way in.

Kebro, this is surprise round so you won't have enough actions to do that. You need a move action to draw the alchemist fire, so no action left to throw it. (Krennel's is an exception as he is using an extract.) Also, you sure you want to use alchemist's fire? You know it has fire resistance. Will allow you to retcon drawing something else instead. Also, Elytra did not make the perception check so is surprised, i.e. no actions.

Kebro also knows that such spiders are quite dextrous and because of their small size, are relatively difficult to hit (AC 17, FFAC is worse). They are also poisonous. (I've mentioned resistances earlier due to their abyssal nature.)

GAB! and Rithon skedaddle away, clearing know what happens when a swarm attacks. Kebro, however, stands his ground and pulls out a flash, and Krennel, with swifter hands, downs the contents of a vial, doubling in size.

(Oops, I should have wrapped start of round 1 to this round of posting. Now GAB!, Krennel, Yen Wu may act at start of round 1. Re the alchemical items you found, I'll take it each of you took one flask of acid, and leave the others (2 alchemist's fire, 2 tanglefoot bag) to first come first serve.)

I find these fiendish traits very anti-alchemist by the way. I should be 'BOOM-ing' all of the insects into soot.

You have a +5 to damage - the resistance pretty much just cancels out your bonus damage, so your bombs are as effective as the acid flasks.

Krennel, yes this scenario is quite fire-unfriendly. But you do have the acid flask. Also, your bomb does (1d6+5)x1.5 damage, so still would have a good chance of damaging the swarm that weapons otherwise can't.

Yen Wu stands his ground, pulling out a flask of acid to fling at the swarm. Unfortunately, it slips in his hand, smashing into the wall above the spiders. Some remnants dribble down onto the vermin but the damage is minimal. Meanwhile, GAB! and Krennel draw their weapons.

The mass of spiders, agitated by the attack, swarm over Kebro, Yen Wu and Rel. Their tiny fangs open up wounds all over. What worse, their bites deliver poison while the horror of the thousands of creepy crawlies threaten to overwhelm them!

Before I resolve this round of actions (since some haven't posted yet anyway), thought to point out a few things.
- Yen Wu, want to confirm if you intend to stay within the swarm. Although nauseated, you still have move action.
- Rithon, being a single target spell, acid splash would not work on swarms. Will allow you to retcon to throw the acid flask, and keep the attack roll. I don't think there is no -4 penalty since swarms aren't exactly in melee.

Yen Wu is overwhelmed by attack and can only flee from the swarm. (Moved you to the side.) Rel once again feels poison coursing through him but manages to keep himself together, moving away so as to summon his deity's blessings. Kebro and Rithon both throw various magic at the spiders, but find them ineffective against such a mass of tiny creatures. A tentacle emerges from GAB!'s form as a vial come flying forth. Unfortunately, his aim is off and the vial smashes beside Elytria, burning it slightly. Krennel flings a bomb with greater accuracy but the mass of spiders' movements are deceptive and the bomb only lands beside it. The resulting explosion, however, chars a large portion of them.

(Kebro, flare doesn't work against swarms because it only targets single creatures.)

(Krennel, in case you're wondering how I arrived at the damage, your bomb does 6 splash damage, which is multiplied 1.5 times, i.e. 9, then 5 fire resistance reduces that to 4.)

Agitated by the attack, the spiders swarm over Krennel!
