Whilst I normally would bot, I don’t wish to do so on a “save or die” roll. With Ahn and Athum temporarily away, I am happy to wait for their return in a few days.
Someone can still do Tahonikepsu’s action.

GM supervillan |

Just pointing out the range limitation Shifty.
When the fireball was cast, Dhiara was up on the balcony level (30' height off the ground level). However, I try not to invoke Pythagoras in pathfinder if I can help it, and the base assumption of the game is a 2-D grid even when we are fighting in 3-D, so for avoidance of any doubt Athum has Dhiara's saving throw reroll available for the fireball save.

Sketch, but I DO have access...

GM supervillan |

If we haven’t got Athum back by Tuesday evening (UK time) I will bot to move us forwards.

Hey folks.
I'm all moved and (mostly) recovered, so I should be able to start posting regularly again.
I'll try to get something up either tonight or early tomorrow.

![]() |

Taking discussion over here...
I don't think she has all your abilities Ischell... but I don't really know.
Um, Peridot, does healing bomb simultaneously heal the living and hurt undead... the description suggests that.

![]() |

Yes though I'm not sure if that would work.
Edit:
We should free Torch. Torch has the ability to suppress it for three minutes if we ask for communal protection from evil.

![]() |

Protection from evil does not expel ghost. Just prevents the controlling. So, good, but we still need to get it out. But waking Torch would be great.
Some Ghost touch would be swell too.

![]() |

I've got a smite up and an Undead Bane weapon - so can hit hard enough even without the Ghost Touch, the hassle has been the height of the room and Tahari flying

![]() |

Right now the issue is the mind control, primarily. I am a sack of HP with a 20ft reach that just extends the combat even further.
And, once she is done with me, she moves to the next person (who hopefully makes the save)

GM supervillan |

One of the many difficulties in fighting ghosts - they can keep possessing one PC after another.

![]() |

In my playing since 1st ed, starting in the 70's, to now, having played Pathfinder since inception... I've never actually experienced a ghost's ability to possess. Has just never come up, and I guess I've never read the ghost entry.

"Over here! Possess me! Possess me!"

GM supervillan |

Peridot, in the recruitment thread where GM Nowruz was asking lots of background information, your answers were incomplete.
If you could now answer the question regarding how much gold and/or prestige you have spent healing or raising other pathfinders, it might make a difference.

GM supervillan |

So you did. And that is some significant expenditure! Torch likes that! I'll do some sums, and update Gameplay shortly :)
What were those items by the way? Multiple sets of First Aid Gloves?

![]() |

I think I lowballed it but I bought two sets of first aid gloves, a wand key ring attuned to BoL, a BoL scroll, and a partial wand of cure moderate wounds off a chronicle. Peridot was built to make sure people don't die and I'll gladly spend money making sure

![]() |

Hmm... what's a wand key ring attuned to Breath of Life? (Ahn is about bringing people back... like new tricks)

![]() |

It gives a +10 insight bonus to use any items that have Breath of Life as a requirement. Its less useful for you and more for a nonspellcaster like Peridot. Thought if you want fun healting abilities Peridot is built from Healers Handbook

GM supervillan |

Wand Key Ring - it's not just for wands! (Which I hadn't realised, so I've learned a trick too).

![]() |

So, yes, Torch should make some protection from evil something-or-ether... what should he make?
Some Protection from Evil potions - $50 each. Everyone could grab and be good in a round or two
And maybe protection from evil communal scroll or two that someone (Amenophus can) could use to get as many as he can right away. $150 each
Potions, we could use sages to help distribute.
Ideas?

![]() |

My meta says the BBEG is sort of hosed now though, so not sure what the way forward in this inevitable standoff is.
With no sensory input, the ghost has to disengage as a standard action to come out - but then arrives into a sea of blasts and blades before being able to take a move action to go anywhere. Or we just end up dropping one of the antimagic fields onto the edge of the thing and force it out anyway.
Unless the GM has any cunning tricks, I'd say Tahari is cactus.

GM supervillan |

Oh, Tahari's in trouble all right.
It's not a standard action for her to abandon Ischell - it takes a standard action to move from a host body into a magic jar, but a ghost using malevolence does not use a jar. That said, she has to "merge her body" with a target to use malevolence, so she does have to come out in order to try to possess anyone else, and at that point readied actions may be triggered.
You're certainly on the home stretch.

![]() |

So, where's a good place to go (scenario-wise) after this? I'm excited to continue playing Ahn before it's mostly all 2E and Ahn becomes just an abandoned memory.

![]() |

He may be out-of-tier for it, at this point, but The Gauntlet is a crazy ride, and the reward is pretty decent. Very dungeon-crawly, though.

![]() |

Disappointed by that miss, was really hoping to finally bring this to an end finally :)
Happy the attempted possession failed, but looks like it’s just killing time and parlour tricks until Tahari luck runs out now.

![]() |

Hoping that the freedom of all the jewels and sages either spells the end for Tahari, or gives us a massive advantage.

![]() |

If that hit landed that was a lot of damage - pain train inbound on Tahari

![]() |

Now that's a lot of damage! - Copyright Flex Seal

GM supervillan |

Alas, still a miss: but I don’t think she’ll get to act again. Also freeing all the jewels makes a difference. Will update gameplay layer.

GM supervillan |

I believe GM Nowruz already reported this game, is that right? Was it reported as an OSP game?
I should be able to get chronicle sheets done by Friday.
There's a little bit of epilogue left and you still need to find a way to get Ragnar out.

![]() |

I haven't seen any reporting on this game, so I have no idea if he has or not.

![]() |

It is not showing up as a session for Ahn, so I believe it was not reported.

GM supervillan |

I'll report via the OSP tool. I think there is a backlog in updating games reported via OSP, so you might end up eventually seeing it twice. But I think I can add a note to my report to ask the folks who update the character records to look out for duplicates.
This also means OSP boon rolls - as per standard procedure I will roll for you in alphabetical order (PC name). A 19 or 20 wins a boon.
Ahn: 1d20 ⇒ 20
Agate: 1d20 ⇒ 10
Athum: 1d20 ⇒ 17
Frost: 1d20 ⇒ 8
GM supervillan: 1d20 ⇒ 12
Ischell: 1d20 ⇒ 14
Peridot: 1d20 ⇒ 1
Ahn wins a boon! Choose from the options here and let me know so that I can add your choice to the report.

![]() |

Wahoo!
I think "#1 - Hang in There" is appropriate for Ahn.

![]() |

Yes, thanks everyone... and both GM's! Especially thanks to Supervillian for stepping into an extremely complex encounter and finishing it up!

GM supervillan |

No worries. I really like this scenario, and I've enjoyed games with Noral, so it was my pleasure to step in and get you to the end.
I think it the finale became a battle of attrition with you guys - Team Paladin had so many heals, especially with Peridot backing you up!

![]() |

I agree with the others. I really appreciate all the work that went into this scenario. I couldn't imagine trying to run it myself. We have some top notch super star GMs here. :)

![]() |

Actually... have you made the boons yet, because "#2 - Share the Wealth (Companions): As a player, choose one boon earned by one of your characters"
It may let me transfer "PAXport 2012 - Goblin Invasion" Which provides
Are there any limitations to the type of Boons that can transfer with #2? Because that amazing boon would be great to replicate.

GM supervillan |

I haven't reported the game yet, so you can take the Share the Wealth boon instead. I have a copy of that boon, text in spoiler below.
As a player, choose one boon earned by one of your characters, and transfer it to another one of your characters. The recipient's level must be high enough that he could qualify to have played the adventure; he still qualifies if his level is above the adventure's level range. Once the boon is transferred, the original recipient is treated as if she no longer possessed the boon. You can only transfer a boon in this way if it opens up access to a new type of familiar, animal companion, or similar creature associated with a class feature. Record the boon's name. chronicle sheet name, and creature type below.
Alternatively, you can transfer access to a unique intelligent item, which the recipient can now purchase. This follows the same restrictions as if you were transferring access to a new familiar type. If the original character had already purchased the intelligent item, she must sell it before the recipient can purchase it.
Let me know your preference.
