Catsial sits in his chair trying to stay close to the ambassador. He holds his cane in his left hand, carries a small bag at his arm and at his back he carries the cylindrical object that you didn't see during the briefing. It reminds you of a cover for big maps or some other archaic papers.

Looking around kasatha responds to Ivan:

"Yes, let's wait and see. I might enjoy it, never had enough time to do a proper tour around Absalom Station!"

"Ah, excellent, the tour is starting. I am excited to see the Bluerise Tower better. The last time I saw it was from such a distance when I first came to Absalom. I hear that it is a source of much power." Malcimex flutters above the group to get a clear view.

With their concerns addressed, Tchisk relaxes some and is ready to enjoy the tour. He finds a seat close to the ambassador.


The auto tour starts and the ship sedately moves from the station towards the Armada. Given that it only takes about 20 minutes to ge tot he Armada, you guess that the tour will last about an hour to an hour and a half before returning. The autopilot does not fly quickly, and the ship moves slowly through the armada with with the robotic tour guide's voice explaining all the high points of the tour.

Sense Motive DC15:

You can tell that the ambassador is not impressed by the tour. The ship moves too slowly, and the droning of the robotic voice appears to be annoying him.

You can use other skills to try and improve the ambassador's outloook, or just let the tour go on as it is

I will follow the rule of communicating telepathically with italic and with voice without. Given that Catsial has no telepathy he will refrain to responding in that way only.

"Thanks for the information Buscador, I started to enjoy the trip myself and didn't focus on Ambassador Zugblub enough. Feel free to try to tamper with the ship to make the ship fly faster while I try to be a tour guide."

Catsial shifts towards their guest and says:

"Ambassador Zugblub! I have a feeling that the Ambassador is not enjoying the trip as much as the Ambassador could. Let me try to add a few bits of information. As you saw when flying into Absalom Station it consists of few parts: The Eye which is the place hosting the biggest organization and most prominent businessman. The Ring is a place for a middle class and being a connection between the Eye and the Arms which holds docks. The Spike is the shady part of the station which I like the call as the second best place to make business."

Seeing that he is a bit upselling the Spike, Catsial Drun quickly changes the topic:

"And here is the Armada ..."

Catsial tries to fill the role of the guide, ideally disabling the robotic one.

Malcimex joins in with Castial attempting to point out interesting features and explain what context she may have about them.

"You see that ship there? That is a Verthani leisure cruiser taking on passengers. The passengers pay exorbitant amounts to ride a ship that goes very slowly. The reason for this is that a slow moving ship is 'relaxing'. The Pact Worlds is full of so many interesting habits." Malcimex cheerfully chirps as she points out some of the recent things she's learned in the Pact Worlds.

While the team talks, Ivan looks for a way to get into the computer system and work around the guide. Should anything he find prove too difficult or invasive, he gives up. Instead, he joins the others at the window in search of interesting sights.

Ivan is certain that with his tools and a little effort, he could remove some of the security panels and open up the computer terminals and piloting controls.

Seeing that Tulgarst has the computers covered Silver Streak looks up other ships of note and has Poogle point them out to the ambassador.

The piloting and computer consoles are now completely uncovered and accessible to anyone with the appropriate skills.

The ambassador watched Ivan with interest, his attitude towards the dwarf warming slightly at the dwarf's initiative. It didn't hurt that Silver Streak stepped in for the fumbling Castial and truly began giving interesting tidbits that the auto-tour certainly was not going to relay.

Catsial, seeing how poor of a guide he was, turns quite and let other aliens more familiar with Absalom station take the lead now.

If Tchisk does not want to pilot the ship:

Seeing that the piloting console stands clear, Catsial walks towards it and tries to speed up a bit the pace of the visiting. He as well responds to what guides are telling flying a bit nearer the points of interests.

The ambassador's mood improves greatly as both the narration and the piloting increase in speed and quality. Catial and Tchisk did a fine job of piloting, and the local narrative bleeps really added something to the otherwise dreary tour. Too bad you couldn't do anything about the droning auto-tour voice.

It was when you tried to disable the tour guide that it happened. The ship shuddered and shook, like it was trying to enter planetary atmosphere.

Computers or Engineering DC 18:

Sensors indicate that a series of malfunctions emanating from the aft engine chambers are the cause of the disturbance.

Also, the readings show that the Life Support system is Glitching.

When Catsial is piloting and the ship starts to shudder he says:

"Yvan, Silver Streak we might have a problem..."

Before he finishes the sentence he can see that the matter is already being taken care of. Catsial breathes out with relief.

The ambassador mentioned that it would indeed like to see you working on the ship, and it sedately made its way back to the engine room, which Ivan had already opened up. There appeared to be nothing wrong with the engines, and Ivan was just about to say so when a 2-foot tall green creature wearing a fishbowl space helmet and grinning from ear to ear popped into existence beside a control panel. There were other pops as more of the creatures appeared, including one in the bridge! The semi-translucent creatures began capering about, blowing raspberries and making grasping motions with their clawed fingers. Every now and then, something nearby would topple over, seemingly of its own volition.

The ambassador turned to Malcimex and said, "What new is this? Be these part of the tour? Never seen such as these have I."

Mysticism DC 11:

These creatures are Ship Glitch Gremlins, nasty little fey that like to tear apart starships for the sheer joy of the chaos they can cause.

Malcimex concentrated and sent a blast of mental energy into the nearest glitch gremlin. The creature winced in pain, and fell to the floor, it's twitching slowing until it stilled in death.

The other gremlins seemed to ignore the death of their companion, capering and blowing raspberries. One caused an image of a human slipping on a patch of oil to appear on his faceplate, and suddenly a patch of grease appeared on the ground beneath the ambassador and Malcimex. The embri ambassador's legs shot out from under him, and it landed heavily on the deck, to the gremlin's great amusement.

On the bridge, the gremlin there had a vision of sparks fly across its visor just before a shower of flames and sparks erupted from a nearby instrument panel, burning Silver Streak and Catsial both.

The other gremlin in the engine room skipped out the open door, closing the portal behind it.

If you try and open the door:

The door is held fast. Try as you might, the door will not open.

I'm going horseless for this combat. I expect none of our further fights, if any, will be expected, so I'll think about how I want to approach that.

Ivan's attention rapidly shifts between the gremlin who tripped the ambassador and the runaway. "Why, you...hey, get back here!" He runs at the available target, swinging a hammer he had been ready to take to the engines.

Catsial seeing a blast coming from the panel, tries to dodge it

And barely avoids the bigger flame. Being mildly annoyed with the opponent kasatha draws his sword from the cane and makes a salute to the little creature.

"May Eloritu help you in this fight, you might need every help that you can get."

After that Catsial begins an attack using his bigger arm length to force the gremlin to lose balance. He slices at the creature with the sheath forcing the reaction and quickly stabs it with the sword.

After making a stab kasatha moves one of his empty hands behind his back and opens the palm calling his pistol to materialize. He is aware that the fusion needs time to bind with the owner but heard stories of it working before the 24 h deadline.

Move action: draw a sword
Standard action: attack gremlin
Swift action: call semi-auto pistol using fusion. Note to GM I bought the fusion on this scenario. Rules say that you need 24 h before it will start to work, but Catsial hopes that it will work faster. I am leaving it to you if the gun will show up and when if so.

The smell of burning skin and hair filled the cockpit as SilverStreak took the full brunt of the fire attack. He retaliated with magic of his own, sending little blue-white missiles of light rocketing into the fey. The magic slammed into the gremlin, nearly killing it, but stunning it long enough for Catsial to finish the job.

In the engine room, Malcimex carefully stood after his fall, and helped the ambassador up also. Their footing was still precarious, and moving out of it would be difficult indeed. While the others handled the gremlins still in the room, Tchisk ran after the yellowish one, only to find the door magically sealed! Buscador tried to dcast a spell on the remaining gremlin, but the little scamp rsisted his magic. What it didn't resist was Ivan's assault hammer to the head.

The reddish gremlin shook its head and giggled, an image of flames and sparks flickering across its helmet visor before one of the engineering consoles erupted in sparks, showering hot flame over both himself and Ivan. the gremlin seemed not to mind, but the dwarf certainly did!

Catsial seeing with the peripheral vision a gremlin behind the door frame, he pretends not to see him saying:

"Let me check what this poor creature had. That is interesting ..."

With that, he crouches next to killed remains of a gremlin, preparing to make a quick stab at the new enemy. Kasatha was wondering why this gun has not shown up yet.

@Buscador - for future reference, Telekinetic Projectile is vs. KAC. Not that it mattered in this case.

Gm screen:

Tchick continues trying to open the door, but without some specialized tools or a really strong pull, it isn't going to open for him. In the hallway, Silver Streak and Catsial manage to wound the capering gremlin, who sprays a flood of grease onto the floor and continues moving up the hallway, giggling madly.

In the engine room, the remaining gremlin is hit by Ivan's assault hammer, his visor making cutesy bonk and whammo graphics as he is hit. Then, it wade a whooshing graphic as Malcimex and Buscador both fail to strike. Blowing another raspberry, it dropped a ball of grease on teh floor beneath its assailants and skipped away, blithely ignoring the wounds you caused.

Round 3-4:

Silver Streak, Catsial, Ivan, and Malcimex all need to make a DC16 Reflex save or fall prone in the grease.

I am still new to Starfinder, but I think that the gremlin running down the corridor would cause an attack of opportunity, as Catsial had melee weapon ready. Gremlin didn't do guarded step, nor he withdrew as he spilled oil. If I am correct, then I will put aoo in the spoiler

Saying that Catsial makes few quick stabs, finished by a slice aimed at the leg of a small trickster.

From where Catsial was, the gremlin had cover (door jamb), preventing the AOO. Good try though ;-)
