OK, I will get a Gameplay post up in a bit, work is pretty busy so I'm not sure how fast I will be. My RL friends/family will be joining us soon. Galin is our 4th and our 5th is still incoming. He's still working on a character.
First, a procedural question. Is anyone opposed to Google Slides for maps and possibly Googlesheets for a equipment/xp tracker?
Isabella, I'm seeing that you have 7 lvl 0 spells known. Have you used your Favored Class bonus to get an extra spell known? If so, please note in your build somewhere, and I think that would only bring you up to 5.
Janissa, Please set up your stats in your class profile line as Isabella has them. The most important things to have are AC, Saves, HP, Initiative, and perception. You can add other stuff if you want for yourself. Also, should your longsword attack be 6? Str (+4), BAB (+1) and Weapon Focus (+1)?
If I missread something for either of you guys, let me know.

1 spell is from the FCB, plus I got detect magic/read magic for free from my bloodline. I'll note that under spells known as well so it's clear.

And another (+1) for Masterwork quality. Uuuuh, you should maybe have a second look at her equipment and yell at me for cheesing that.
By the way, Galin and Janissa should be familiar with each other, and Isabella and Jilhanna should also be familiar with each other based on your backgrounds. The relationships there I leave up to you.
OK, I've heard from our 5th and he's backing out. So that leaves us with a cleric, sorcerer, rogue and fighter. Janissa, are you still around here? If so, I think we can get started.

So this is the Emerald Duke's (somewhat hastily compiled) character, Torian Marcath, stonelord paladin of Torag.
Figured it would be fun before we get rolling to share the Paladin's code for Torag, as I will be trying to follow this somewhat strictly:
Torag Paladin's Code:
Paladins of Torag are dedicated to protecting not just the lives but the way of life for those under their charge, and hold the ways of their chosen people as holy, especially when they are the centuries-old works and traditions of an entire race. Their tenets include the following affirmations.
My word is my bond. When I give my word formally, I defend my oath to my death. Traps lie in idle banter or thoughtless talk, and so I watch my tongue.
I am at all times truthful, honorable, and forthright, but my allegiance is to my people. I will do what is necessary to serve them, including misleading others if need be.
I respect the forge, and never sully it with half-hearted work. My creations reflect the depth of my faith, and I will not allow flaws save in direst need.
Against my people’s enemies, I will show no mercy. I will not allow their surrender, except when strategy warrants. I will defeat them, yet even in the direst struggle, I will act in a way that brings honor to Torag.
Should be joining y'all in the gameplay thread shortly!

Let me know if you need me to dial back the accent a bit. I figured if I came out strong with it at first I could dial it back over time and have y'all still being able to mentally read it with the accent if need be. ;)

My folks said that Washington state recently passed a law to keep them on DST, but that it has to be approved by the federal government somewhere (not sure which department/branch) before it can become a reality. If it did they would stay in this pocket of time and not fall back with most of the rest of the US. (They also would no longer have to spring forward, as they would already be there.)
Anyway, background skills picked. They are the italicized ones under trained skills. (Picked up knowledge history and made knowledge nobility the second one, giving me room to make Diplomacy a trained skill.)
Hmm, well I’m on daylight savings, so would that be CDT??? Meh, I hate daylight savings.
If you're in the Central Time Zone and you're on Daylight Savings Time, then yes, your abbreviation is currently CDT
In the US there are a few exceptions to the national law about switching in March, so while it is possible that someone is still using Standard Time, it would be unusual.
Several states have passed laws that say, in essence, "If Congress ever makes it legal, we're going to permanently stop switching." [Congress made the current law; they have to change it]
Unfortunately, all of those laws so far mandate a permanent switch to Daylight Savings Time. So "high noon" will forever occur at 11 in the morning.
Be sure you know what a "yes" vote means if your state puts it on the ballot.

Someone want o volunteer to track XP for us in the campaign tracker? Also, the item and coin tracking tabs are there if you want them.
As a novelty I am at least tracking my own xp in my character sheet under random crunch. Seriously, first time here that I've had to use that... most gms just fiat when everyone hits a level without detailing the encounter by encounter xp. This is new, and therefore fun for me. ;)
Huh, interesting. I’ve never played in a game where XP isn’t tracked like that. I’ve toyed around with the idea of milestone leveling but I’d like to do it this way this time. I’ve also thought about ABP but decided not to for such a short module.
Well, I've still not heard from Jilhanna since last week. There are a couple options. I can just bot her until we hear something, but who knows how long that will be if ever. I could also look for a replacement. I'd rather not have a GMNPC as part of the party just because of the extra work for me. It wouldn't be my best work probably but it wouldn't be for a very long time either.
I’d say bot her for now, then if we still haven’t heard from her by the time we reach the crypt look for a replacement. That seems like a decent compromise. I’m assuming the majority of the adventure occurs in the crypt itself so it wouldn’t be a bad place for someone to jump in.
I would throw an addendum to that saying that the GM can open the recruitment if he thinks we are getting close so that we can (hopefully) have someone ready to go by the time we get there. Worst case, we have a party of five folks if she comes back during the recruitment.
Yeah, I had actually wanted a party of 5 in case of situations like this. I expect to be to the crypt sometime next week or the week after so we've got some time. Please don't hold me to any time estimates.
