sup guys.

Welcome... as a heads up, you might want to read a few of my posts in gameplay... my writing style is a bit... different. ;)

Human INACTIVE

Welcome Dart. The GM probably has a better idea of the specifics, but last I heard we were going to have you join us at the crypt. I think that'll be right after we finish falling down this slope :)

Location: Trail | Time : Neth 6th, Noon | Map: Crypt Map

Yup, that’s the plan. Haha, good luck guys. That -4 is gnarly. I’m still not sure how to role play switching rogues. Does anyone mind just pretending it was him all along?

Male | Lay on Hands 1/1 | Stonestrike 1/1 | DR adamantine 1 | Dwarf Paladin (Stonelord) 2 | AC 19 T 11 FF 18 | HP 30/30 | F +7 R +1 W +5 | Init +1 / +3 (underground) | Perc +2 / +4 (to notice unusual stonework)

That is an option... or we could have him having arrived ahead of us from a more direct route with some sort of "urgent message" for our old rogue, directing her to come home for some family emergency or whatnot.

Your game though, your call.

cleric Gnome level 2 [Init+0 | Per:+5 | SM:+3 | F:+3 R:+0 W:+5 | AC: 15 (T:11 FF:15 ) | CMD:9 | Speed:20ft | HP:17; spells lvl 1: 2+1] Low Light Vision | Channel 1/5 | Acolyte 2/6

Either works

Male Unrogue HP:19 |AC: 17 | CMD:17 | Fort: +2 | Ref:+7| Will: +3 | Init:+6| perception +10

I remember that hill from the last game this guy was in haha. He managed tk get down it unscathed with only one trip up. Managed to roll with it and get back into his feet. Sadly, the game died not long after. I'm fine with either.

Location: Trail | Time : Neth 6th, Noon | Map: Crypt Map

Are you ready to go? I was looking yesterday or this morning and it looked like you were still considering an archetype I think.

Male Unrogue HP:19 |AC: 17 | CMD:17 | Fort: +2 | Ref:+7| Will: +3 | Init:+6| perception +10

I still need to purchase some gear, I can't edit the sheet atm as I am away from my desktop this weekend.

I am also trying to decide if I want to take counterfeit mage archetype, I likely will be, but other than that he is ready.

Male Unrogue HP:19 |AC: 17 | CMD:17 | Fort: +2 | Ref:+7| Will: +3 | Init:+6| perception +10

ready. Decided against the archetype, as I will likely take a level of wizard/arcansist/sorcerer at some point.

So I realized the other day that I've played with Dart already in a one off (Caster4life's boss fight) and I'm in a possibly defunct game with Isabella (TheMightyAtom's present day fantasy game). I didn't realize it was such a small world.

Heh.... yep, it is... had the pleasure of running with former DMs and other players from time to time... also had the sadness that comes with a friendly player falling off the forums for indefinite hiatus too... only to run into them again years later.

Location: Trail | Time : Neth 6th, Noon | Map: Crypt Map

I’ll bot Dart if needed tomorrow. If prefer at least one weekend post just to keep things moving but I know that can be hard.

Male | Lay on Hands 1/1 | Stonestrike 1/1 | DR adamantine 1 | Dwarf Paladin (Stonelord) 2 | AC 19 T 11 FF 18 | HP 30/30 | F +7 R +1 W +5 | Init +1 / +3 (underground) | Perc +2 / +4 (to notice unusual stonework)

Will be on to post later tonight. Posting from my phone is a pain and taking the family to brunch and a movie.

Its a good think I built Torian like a tank... he would probably be dead otherwise, ;)

sorry all, going through... something. Unsure if its depression, a sickness, or what. I just don't feel right or up to things. I may or may not get in posts, if I don't, I apologize and please bot me.

It’s ok man, I get it, just post when you can.

Take your time. If you feel worse call someone (health professional or friend) and get the help you need.

Human INACTIVE

Echoing the others, take your time. Your health (mental and/or physical) is the most important thing. Drop in when you can, don't worry about it when you can't.

Busy weekend with the family, I’ll try to post some time today.

Location: Trail | Time : Neth 6th, Noon | Map: Crypt Map

Can you put your different visions in your stat line so I don't loose track please? As in Low-light and/or Darkvision.

Human INACTIVE

No special vision for Isabella; she's relying on her torch and whatever light her thrown stone is providing.

Location: Trail | Time : Neth 6th, Noon | Map: Crypt Map

OK. Dart and I just worked out that he does actually have darkvision from an alternate racial trait so I just wanted to make sure we were all on the same page and correct.

cleric Gnome level 2 [Init+0 | Per:+5 | SM:+3 | F:+3 R:+0 W:+5 | AC: 15 (T:11 FF:15 ) | CMD:9 | Speed:20ft | HP:17; spells lvl 1: 2+1] Low Light Vision | Channel 1/5 | Acolyte 2/6

Also a busy weekend, and monday too. Will modify and post shortly!

Location: Trail | Time : Neth 6th, Noon | Map: Crypt Map

We seem to be slowing down significantly. Thats ok if you guys are still interested, but I just wanted to check to see if people were losing interest. Is there anything I should be doing to be more engaging?

Male | Lay on Hands 1/1 | Stonestrike 1/1 | DR adamantine 1 | Dwarf Paladin (Stonelord) 2 | AC 19 T 11 FF 18 | HP 30/30 | F +7 R +1 W +5 | Init +1 / +3 (underground) | Perc +2 / +4 (to notice unusual stonework)

Sorry, been a busy week for me.

Still interested. Also, Torian has Darkvision. Don't have it up there but given it is standard for most dwarves didn't think it would be an issue... can put it somewhere on the undercard if you need me to though.

Human INACTIVE

I'm definitely still interested. Like Torian, it's been a busy week for me. Also Isabella isn't quite sure what to do; traps and strange levers are outside her area of expertise. Once we get past this room she'll be more comfortable.

In the meantime though I'll try to be more proactive. All hail the mighty broom, bane of traps everywhere! (Hopefully.)

cleric Gnome level 2 [Init+0 | Per:+5 | SM:+3 | F:+3 R:+0 W:+5 | AC: 15 (T:11 FF:15 ) | CMD:9 | Speed:20ft | HP:17; spells lvl 1: 2+1] Low Light Vision | Channel 1/5 | Acolyte 2/6

my sleep has been reduced for the last couple weeks and it's starting to catch up. I'm still with you, but share the difficulty getting on this week.

Location: Trail | Time : Neth 6th, Noon | Map: Crypt Map

That's fine guys, some reduced post rate is fine, and if your character just doesn't know what to do, that's understandable too, I just wanted to kind of check in and sound everyone out.

cleric Gnome level 2 [Init+0 | Per:+5 | SM:+3 | F:+3 R:+0 W:+5 | AC: 15 (T:11 FF:15 ) | CMD:9 | Speed:20ft | HP:17; spells lvl 1: 2+1] Low Light Vision | Channel 1/5 | Acolyte 2/6

Been a rough couple of days. My son broke his arm.

Quite literally 'Ouch!' Hope he gets better soon.

Male Unrogue HP:19 |AC: 17 | CMD:17 | Fort: +2 | Ref:+7| Will: +3 | Init:+6| perception +10

Sorry all, been busy past few days.

Celebrating my anniversary today, I’ll be luck if I post by tonight.

Male Unrogue HP:19 |AC: 17 | CMD:17 | Fort: +2 | Ref:+7| Will: +3 | Init:+6| perception +10

congrats!

Human INACTIVE

Have a good anniversary!

Note to self: when/if we level pick up the cantrip Disrupt Undead.

Location: Trail | Time : Neth 6th, Noon | Map: Crypt Map

Just realized that I've been forgetting to give XP...I can go back and do the math...Or we could just go ahead and do Milestone. I'm ok either way so if you all have a preference let me know.

Human INACTIVE

I personally like milestone, and it keeps you from having to worry about the math.

Male | Lay on Hands 1/1 | Stonestrike 1/1 | DR adamantine 1 | Dwarf Paladin (Stonelord) 2 | AC 19 T 11 FF 18 | HP 30/30 | F +7 R +1 W +5 | Init +1 / +3 (underground) | Perc +2 / +4 (to notice unusual stonework)

Agreed on that.

Separate note: would Torian know from his check whether the shade would chase us?

Location: Trail | Time : Neth 6th, Noon | Map: Crypt Map

Torian would know that some undead are bound to a certain spot and some aren't but it depends more on the creation process than the specific type of undead. Hard to tell on this one.

Male Unrogue HP:19 |AC: 17 | CMD:17 | Fort: +2 | Ref:+7| Will: +3 | Init:+6| perception +10

I've come down with a bad case of the cold, hoping its not actually the flu. Posts will be limited over next few days, particularly in depth posts as I kick out this virus and try to catch up on missed class work. will try to at least come in and drop a 1-2 line post so as not to hold things up if I can.

Location: Trail | Time : Neth 6th, Noon | Map: Crypt Map

Will do, hope you get better quickly!

Male Unrogue HP:19 |AC: 17 | CMD:17 | Fort: +2 | Ref:+7| Will: +3 | Init:+6| perception +10

Lol, legitimately 23 seconds apart posts.

Location: Trail | Time : Neth 6th, Noon | Map: Crypt Map

I'm liking the role play guys! That's one of the reasons I was/am excited about PbP. I will do what I can to make that easier for you all, including giving you time to talk back and forth.

I'm fine with minimal posting over the weekend as I do most of my posting at work. Everyone else happy with the arrangement so far?

Male | Lay on Hands 1/1 | Stonestrike 1/1 | DR adamantine 1 | Dwarf Paladin (Stonelord) 2 | AC 19 T 11 FF 18 | HP 30/30 | F +7 R +1 W +5 | Init +1 / +3 (underground) | Perc +2 / +4 (to notice unusual stonework)

Things are going well so far, at least for me.

Side note: been a bit since I dealt with attribute drain. Given Galin can't fix us, about how long do we have to deal with the affects? Is that something we will have to learn via heal check or something?

Human INACTIVE

I'm enjoying everything so far. I appreciate you giving us the time to roleplay, but I will say that I never want gameplay to slow down as a result. If I'm ever holding things up please let me know. (That goes for other players as well as the GM.)

Location: Trail | Time : Neth 6th, Noon | Map: Crypt Map

Yeah, a trivial heal check will tell you that you just need rest, I’m reading it as you just feel exhausted...but not [url=https://www.d20pfsrd.com/Gamemastering/conditions/#Exhausted[/url]...As far as I can tell, you just recover one ability point drain per rest.

On that note, I’ve been going over how the negatives work and I think 1-2 str damage would be a -1 and 3-4 would be a -2 on all the effected rolls. I believe both dart and Torian have -3.

Male | Lay on Hands 1/1 | Stonestrike 1/1 | DR adamantine 1 | Dwarf Paladin (Stonelord) 2 | AC 19 T 11 FF 18 | HP 30/30 | F +7 R +1 W +5 | Init +1 / +3 (underground) | Perc +2 / +4 (to notice unusual stonework)

We do... but wouldn't that just mean that we take three points of damage? In both of our cases we have a starting point of 13 STR, so it should just push us to 10 (or no longer getting a +1 to damage and attack rolls from STR) correct?

Male Unrogue HP:19 |AC: 17 | CMD:17 | Fort: +2 | Ref:+7| Will: +3 | Init:+6| perception +10

technically, temporary ability damage/boosts work different from gaining/losing a stat in the score.

For every 2 lost due to a temporary modifier (such as ability damage) the character receives a -1 to all skills and rolls associated to that score.

its not a "what you have now and recalculate" its a "apply X modifier to rolls"

I can find the ruling if need be. found it-

Ability score damage:

For every 2 points of damage you take to a single ability, apply a –1 penalty to skills and statistics listed with the relevant ability. If the amount of ability damage you have taken equals or exceeds your ability score, you immediately fall unconscious until the damage is less than your ability score. The only exception to this is your Constitution score. If the damage to your Constitution is equal to or greater than your Constitution score, you die. Unless otherwise noted, damage to your ability scores is healed at the rate of 1 per day to each ability score that has been damaged. Ability damage can be healed through the use of spells, such as lesser restoration.

Strength: Damage to your Strength score causes you to take penalties on Strength-based skill checks, melee attack rolls, and weapon damage rolls (if they rely on Strength). The penalty also applies to your Combat Maneuver Bonus (if you are Small or larger) and your Combat Maneuver Defense. A character with a Strength score of 0 is too weak to move in any way and is unconscious. Some creatures do not possess a Strength score and have no modifier at all to Strength-based skills or checks.

Dexterity: Damage to your Dexterity score causes you to take penalties on Dexterity-based skill checks, ranged attack rolls, initiative checks, and Reflex saving throws. The penalty also applies to your Armor Class, your Combat Maneuver Bonus (if you are Tiny or smaller), and to your Combat Maneuver Defense. A character with a Dexterity score of 0 is incapable of moving and is effectively immobile (but not unconscious).

Constitution: Damage to your Constitution score causes you to take penalties on your Fortitude saving throws. In addition, multiply your total Hit Dice by this penalty and subtract that amount from your current and total hit points. Lost hit points are restored when the damage to your Constitution is healed. A character with a Constitution score of 0 is dead.

Intelligence: Damage to your Intelligence score causes you to take penalties on Intelligence-based skill checks. This penalty also applies to any spell DCs based on Intelligence. A character with an Intelligence score of 0 is comatose.

Wisdom: Damage to your Wisdom score causes you to take penalties on Wisdom-based skill checks and Will saving throws. This penalty also applies to any spell DCs based on Wisdom. A character with a Wisdom score of 0 is incapable of rational thought and is unconscious.

Charisma: Damage to your Charisma score causes you to take penalties on Charisma-based skill checks. This penalty also applies to any spell DCs based off Charisma and the DC to resist your channeled energy. A character with a Charisma score of 0 is not able to exert himself in any way and is unconscious.

Ability score DRAIN is much more terrifying, as it actually modifies the actual value. (shadow's is luckily just damage)
