Goldur begins chanting in a low voice as he draws one of his hammers.
Inspire courage +1, round 1/16.

ref st Goldur: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
The grease spell was a total failure and all the pathfinders skate around on it like old pros. The goblin snake, who has been watching the action from hiding, comes slithering out and darts behind the wall to your right, obviously trying to be sneaky about it, but everyone sees her except for Nemrok.

Even if they get the full +4 AC, these are the same archers that fled and they do NOT have armor. So the dialog in discussion is moot at least for this volley.
The hapless archer who, only moments ago, managed to escape the withering storm of death rained on his compatriots, is now dead. Its a hobgoblin life. Thanks to the damage done by the sonic boom, he falls to the first arrow so Jack is able to send the second arrow at black who almost 'blacks' out from the damage.
At first Gronk laughs at Jack, seeing the shots as poorly aimed attempts at hitting him. But when he hears the death scream of Green and the confused scream of the stunned black, he scowls.
"Kill that $#^ archer!"
He steps forward, a bit closer to his goal but again pauses to avoid the greathonkinsword and attacks Aurus with a flurry of blows with particular focus.

Aurus takes a mighty swing just to have the infuriating hobgoblin brush it aside like always. The thing is in the middle laughing and about to shout an insult when the sword reverses direction in a way the chieftain would have sworn was impossible and the next hing he knows the blessed blade cuts deeply into the very arm that brushed it away a moment before and he goes down like a rock before he can even start the tirade.
You hear an audible gasp from the other hobgoblins, except for Yellow because he's out of it and staring off into space. Rather than fleeing like sensible folk, visions of chieftain-hood dance through their heads as they continue their assault. Red steps up to fill the gap and easily connects with the distracted paladin, doing a fair amount of damage. He has a pretty smug look on his face.

The Goblin snake breathes a sigh of relief since when Gronk advanced he left a clear path to his own cowardly hide. But then Uldar lays down another magical bomb and he does not go unscathed, though the only one that is stunned is the Yellow Brawler - again.

That is as free action. you could do something else too.
Aseri moves into position and fires off a DC 15 Color Spray, hitting Yellow, Aurus, Uldar, and Goldur. No honor among Goblins! Of course the demoralized yellow is hammered and falls unconscious to the ground. Aseri, the goblin snake was not impressed with yellows habitual inability to act so he figured it was a small sacrifice. Unfortunately (depending on your point of view) the only pathfinder to succumb is Uldar.

The bad boy is unable to avoid the warhammer but nimbly dodges the slower greataxe. He's starting to feel a little crowded and begins to wonder if it was such a good idea going after the well muscled greatsword wheeling metal cladded menace instead of the more squishy looking dwarf.

The threatening bard once again strikes fear into the heart of another gob. You may want to get the antagonize feat :)
Aseri backs up and pulls out a scroll, reading from it. "Ha! I'm not scared. You're scared!"
Aurus, you are being targeted by a DC 13 url=https://www.aonprd.com/SpellDisplay.aspx?ItemName=Scare]scare[/url] spell. (The ignorant goblin snake does not know about your aura of courage and, besides, I have to do it because it has its tactics. I have a feeling this is going to be the last round of combat.

"Alright, now we're getting somewhere. Slither down here, and tell us what you know about who else is in here. Your colleagues said there were 50 some-odd of you, so by my reckoning I have about 30 more skulls to crack."

Aurus is back up to max HP. Crappy results from that wand of yours!
The goblin snake slithers towards you, eyeing the exits, weighing his chances, and coming up light. With an obsequious smile he answers.
"50, yea, if you can raise the dead! Nah. You are probably looking at a dozen more in the fort if that. You killed the boss and he was the only thing keeping them, and me, from high-tailing it out of this place. Good riddance!"

![]() |

"Interesting. So if you were to spread the word of your boss's absence, would the others leave? Perhaps we could solve this without further violence."

miteke |

The snakes tail perks up and his grin gets wider. You are not sure how that is even possible, but it does.
"Oh, I think I could arrange that. There might be a few dissenters but a little gold would convince them, or the sharp of a blade and the display of a few corpses. Your choice. You want me to arrange things? Or you could just show me to the door and the last thing you will see of me is the back of my head and my tail."
If your Sense Motive check equaled or exceeded 32 open this spoiler too.
Then again, he could arrange things for no gold, but he would rather get some gold, of course.

![]() |

Sense Motive (Versatile Performance): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
"Excellent." Goldur turns to the others. "Gentlemen, what do you think?"

![]() |

I wonder... Maybe we should follow it around, to help "convince" whoever else is still in here and also to prevent us from accidentally finding someone who didn't get the memo and decides to fight?

![]() |

Aurus has no problem letting the thing go and continuing to crack skulls, but will acquiesce to cooler heads if they want some diplomacy.
"Tell anyone you see on your way out that the fort is already under new leadership - so they can be rats leaving a sinkin' ship, or they can be rats drowning on a sinking ship. Choice is theirs." Aurus turns away from the goblin snake, already ready for the next scrap.
