Game Master The Great Rinaldo!

Xusius is going to use Detect Magic and then Spellcraft on the area the gnome is in. He will also attempt to Sense Motive as to what the gnome is saying.

"The thrall keepers imprisoned you? They vanished thousands of years ago with the runelords and the rest of ancient Thassilon." Zordlon says with curiosity. "I know gnomes can live long...but that long." He then looks to his gnome companion Seebonick.

"Koth'Vaul is not a typical name for a gnome" Zordlon says to the little person. "More like a name given in the Abyss."

sense motive: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

As the gnome is closer Flaith moves first to the gnome then to the elf to check their auras.

"Koth'Vaul doesn't SOUND gnomish to ME!"

Sense motive: 1d20 ⇒ 20

Seebonickk moves closer to the paladin.

Xusius casts a spell, and sees that the gnome has his own magical aura, as does the circle itself.

Flaith's eyes glow briefly as she studies the gnome.

"Well, crap. Of course I'd get a holy warrior. Ilvaster! Kill!"

From the west a figure rises out of the water - a black dragon the size of a large human!

Ilvaster won initiative; on his surprise round, he rises from the water, and then on his turn he walks across the floor of the cavern to stand right next to Moria.

Moria, Xusius, and Flaith are up!

"I KNEW there was something off about that Gnome!" Moria shouts. In her rage, she lets go of the rope holding the sleepwalker, draws her falchion, and slashes at this black dragon.

Falchion, power attack: 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (11) + 6 - 1 = 16
Damage (S), power attack: 2d4 + 7 + 3 ⇒ (3, 1) + 7 + 3 = 14

Moria drops the rope and makes a mighty swing! Her axe slashes across the dragon's scales, knocking a few free!

Xusius begins to cast Enlarge Person while targeting Flaith so that she is enlarged.

It will last 2 minutes

Flaith feels the beginnings of Xusius' magic to take hold, but can tell that the spell will take more time to be complete.

Flaith is still up; as long as you have room to occupy four squares when Xusius' next turn comes up, you'll be large on your next round.

Flaith waits till the effect has worked and charges the dragon while calling her smite evil ability.

As Flaith is enlarged she has reach or? She should be able to charge the beast over Moria?

You hear a wet *splat* sound, and Moria notices a hand crawl up out of the water, drag its way across the cave toward Kalkamedes, and start to crawl up his leg.
Claw: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 Grab: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (18) + 0 = 18
It manages to crawl all the way up the sleeping Pathfinder's body, and begins to choke him!

Seebonickk and Zordlon are up! Flaith may come off delay if she chooses, or continue to wait.

Flaith will double move and declare the smite on the dragon

"Some one get that thing off Kalkemedes" He says as he moves forward and "throws" his sword at the dragon.

I am busy running QuinCon 34 this weekend and will be out of action until late Sunday or Monday. Xusius will be laying down Magic Missiles from his wand as needed. Feel free to fire them off.

As Flaith moves up into position, Zordlon throws his sword at the dragon. It hits the dragon in the throat, then returns to Zordlon's hand. Sadly no confirm on that crit.

From its sheath on Flaith's hip, you hear Gamin's voice call out, "Your sword can fly? *I* want to fly!"

Seebonickk is still up!

Xusius, botting instructions noted. Have fun!

Seebonickk moves closer to the dragon.

What are the options for dealing with the hand thing? If we attack it do we risk hitting Kalkamedes? Do we have to help him break the grapple and grapple it ourselves?

The hand is diminutive sized, so you can target it without risking hitting Kalkamedes. You can attack it with a weapon or you can attempt a grapple check to pull it off of him, after which you would be considered to be grappling it.

Xusius shouts, "Fight ze dragon! I weel use ze Magick Meesiles to attack ze hand demon!"

Despite the hand around his throat, Kalkamedes continues walking. With his rope no longer held by Moria, he makes his way all the way to the woman in the second magic circle, and stops.

With another sickly *plop* sound, another hand crawls out of the water and onto land, crawling its way to Moria. Double move to end in Moria's square; Moria may take an Attack of Opportunity as it enters your square. It has not yet grappled you, so you can 5' step or move out of its square on your turn if you wish. Moving more than 5' will provoke from it, however, as well as from the dragon.

Dragon bite vs Moria: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20 damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
The dragon bites Moria, catching her on the shoulder and leaving a deep, painful wound. Owch! 12hp damage to Moria!

Moria and Xusius are up!

Moria lets out a cry, not of pain, but fury. She takes a swing at the hand as it crawls up to her.

Falchion, PA: 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (6) + 6 - 1 = 11
Damage(S), PA: 2d4 + 7 + 3 ⇒ (2, 2) + 7 + 3 = 14

She steps away from the hand and slashes out once more at the dragon with her blade, trusting the wizard to take care of the hands.

Xusius takes a five-foot step to the left and fires a Magic Missile at the hand on Kalkamedes.

Magic Missile: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

As the hand crawls toward her, Moria hacks at it, cutting it completely in half! Very successful AoO!

She then takes another swing at the dragon, cutting it deeply.

Xusius sends a magical missile at the other hand; though it hits, it does not dislodge the severed member.

Red hand maintain grapple: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
The hand continues to choke the sleepwalker, who is clearly in distress but unable to defend himself.

Flaith, Zordlon, and Seebonickk are up! Kalkamedes is taking damage, but is still standing and still asleep.

Seebonickk tries to stab the dragon but misses.

Flaith is now large and attacks the dragon. With smite evil

Grown to immense proportions by Zordlon's spell, Flaith swings her sword, but it bounces off the dragon's hide. She slams her shield into its face, causing it to reel from the impact. Rerolled shield slam hits!

Note that Seebonickk could also 5' step to the left, and would then be flanking with Flaith due to her large size.

I'll give Zordlon until after lunch then bot him.

Zordlon moves forward and draws his wand of magic missle. He levels it at the undead hand on kalkemedes and activates it. Sending a bolt of force at it.

Magic Missile: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Zordlon fires off a missile, and the hand choking Kalkamedes drops to the ground.

Dragon bite vs Flaith: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
The dragon tries to bite Flaith, but her shield deflects the attack.

Everyone is up!

Looking at the now "large" sword hanging from Flaith's hip, "Sorry, but I think you are little to big for me to effectively throw...or else I would."

Zordlon moves around to the other side of the dragon and tosses his sword again.

It comes back to him.

Flaith attacks again.

Seebonickk tries to stab again.

Moria shifts to a better position and lets out a final war cry, putting the rest of her anger and strength behind this blow.

Damage, PA: 2d4 + 7 + 3 ⇒ (1, 2) + 7 + 3 = 13

Flaith lands a very strong blow on the dragon's neck, while Seebonickk and Moria swing hard but glance off of its hide.

Xusius is up!

Xusius fires another Magic Missile at the hand suffocating Kalkamedes.

Magic Missile: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Zordlon took out the hand last round, so I'm redirecting that at the dragon.

Xusius aims his wand at the dragon, and lets off another missile. That seems to be enough to finish it off, and the dragon collapses onto the ground.

As the sound of combat dies, Kalkamedes continues to stand silently at the side of the unconscious elf.

Xusius searches the area and the dragon's corpse.

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26

Xusius points out there is a band of some sort around one of the dragon's horns.

"Zere ees some band or zomezing around one of eet's horns."

Moving forward Flaith checks the unconcious elf with detect evil and if she is not will use his lay on hands on her.
LoH: 1d6 ⇒ 1

Seebonickk moves over and looks at the dragon.

"Do you know what the band is Xusius?"

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
