It is not immediately clear where in the room may be safe. There is a door leading out though...

There is a catch that would open it, but no big red button that says "press here to launch thermonuclear warhead."

Opening the case reveals a padded interior. Inside is a needler pistol with six darts. There are also three vials, all full.
They have writing on them, but like the writing on the case, Viper does not know the language.
Well, it is izalguun, and I assume Viper doesn't know it.
And round about now is probably a good time for everyone apart from Pangea to make another round of fortitude saves (DC 17).[/ooc]

Pangea opens the door, and thick smoke spills from the machinery in your current room through into a weird area. Before the smoke starts to obscure the room you can make out a bit.
A drone of insects echoes around this technological swampland. Water floods most of this room, flowing in through a shattered door to the south. Stunted fungi protrude from the water’s surface atop twisted metal shelves and broken technology.

She looks into the next room. "Quickly, let's all get in and shut the door. I don't want to fill the whole place with this smoke."
When you say water floods the room, do you mean it's full of water like we'd have to swim, or there's water all over the floor?

Pangea sees the-- whatever, lash out repeatedly at Sev+.
"What the...?"
Pangea imagines that the main part of the "lurker" is deeper in the pool, so the android sets out to go confront it.
• Pangea will start by doing a move action (40 ft.)
If it gets more than difficult terrain, well:
- no need to breathe, so that is not a problem
- if a Swim check is needed:
Athletics: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (13) + 15 = 28
• Pangea will use another move action if necessary (40 ft. again)
The android has its Singing Disk in hand--
My weapon has the "Underwater property" (no penalty to attack & full damage underwater)
YAY! (a big fail in a scenario with walrus-like people made me spend the 10% bonus on ALL weapons for ALL my characters!)
--and Pangea is very wary of reach, so the android is prepared to stop at a bit of distance--
If need be I'd stop at 2 squares to use lunge and avoid an AoO
Or if possible, to Guarded Step in to reach etc.
--but it is used to evading attacks while moving.
Have Mobility
I imagine I'll need two moves (or more) to come into attack range

Remi draws her perforator pistol and moves up behind Pangea to look into the water-filled room and see if he gets into trouble in the odd pool of water. She calls out, "Sev, go higher if you can! See if you can draw it up, or get out of its reach!"
Can we see the thing to tell what it is? Can we see it to target it with attacks?
I'll either shoot if I see it or ready an attack if it comes into sight. This weapon is underwater-modified but only has 20 foot range.

"Most... curious." remarks Sev as the apparent tongue makes its apparent attack. The Technomage responds by casting microbot assault and then flying toward the ceiling, as Remi had suggested, before heading to the top of the obelisk.
At the android's command, a 10 foot radius cloud of fist-sized microbots cover appears at the surface of the water.
Resulting microbot cloud indicated on screen. Cloud grants harrowing fire against foes within its space and cover fire to anyone attacked by foes within its space. Any attack against the cloud is essentially ineffective.

On the plus side, while you are not really in melee range with it, as it is grappling you, I don't see why you shouldn't attack its tongue
Sev meanwhile finds out that casting spells, even while flying, within range of the tongues, is not a wise move. Ouch. That is blood leaking inside his armor.
