No post from me tonight. I'm okay, just really tired.
I hear ya, Kiley. I've been in the same boat the last few days. Either not enough sleep, or something else keeping me busy. Working on playing catch-up.

Sorry for my recent disappearance. The last couple weeks or so has been a little rough. The issue that I was having with my tooth wound up turning around and hitting me -literally- square in the face. I got seriously infected, and I had to wait a few days before any of the dentists in town were willing to look at me. Thankfully, I've been on another round of antibiotics which has been getting rid of the infection, and I should (hopefully) finally be taking care of the troublesome tooth.
I'll be going through my games as I am able and playing catch up.
I hope that everyone else is staying healthy.

So quick update. Finally got into the dentist yesterday. Decided enough was enough and had the tooth pulled. They could have just capped it, but there was too much risk that the infection would linger, and I was just not having it.
Some pain involved, but no where near as debilitating as it was previously.

Having some limited knowledge of dental care, you made the right call in just having the sucker pulled. Swift recovery, man.
Here comes the fun part.
Sleep has a 1 round casting time, which means that it doesn't go off until the beginning of Renae's turn on the round after she begins casting it. This means that Initiative results could result in the goblins getting a chance to interrupt her spell. The act of beginning to cast a spell counts as an action resulting in the rolling of initiative.
Renae, if you want to start casting in a surprise round, I need another Bluff check from you. Success will get you a surprise round, which might give you the time you need to finish casting the spell.
The good news is that, because sometimes spell radii are funny, I'm going to let all three possibly be affected by the spell.
Dropping a note in all my games. I am hoping things won't change too much, but wanted to forewarn my games that there may be some delays in my posting. My work schedule is usually busiest over the summer months and while it is slow right now I know at some point it will get crazy busy when I start getting shipments in of hundreds of new computers for a rebuild of one of my schools I manage. On top of this I am finishing up my dual MBA/MSIS this summer with three classes in a condensed 8-week semester.
All of this to say, I will do my best to keep up and if I know of major delays I will try to notify people (like when it is finals week), but if I do end up disappearing for a few days here or there just know it won't be long term. All the craziness I have going on over the next couple months should primarily be wrapped up near the end of July.

Not entirely. I'm still here. We just have some new employees starting at work, and I've been getting them set up.
My brain still needs an extra kick for motivation sometimes, but I'm still around.

Just a heads up. Over the past few days I have found out that my grandparents on my dad's side both have COVID-19, my grandmother on that side is also in the hospital with a strep infection on top of this, and my grandfather on that side has been undergoing chemo treatments for cancer. Both are 76-77 years old, so already in the high-risk category before the rest of it. Just keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
Sorry to hear all of that. Must be a little overwhelming. Praying for the best.

Seems like they will. Just found out that my grandfather isn't showing any symptoms and my grandmother will probably be alright.

Updating all my games since I've gotten more good news.
- Still no symptoms from my grandfather. It looks like he'll be alright.
- My grandmother is being weaned off the ventilator. The doctors are hoping that will happen soon.
- All in all everything's looking up, except...
- My grandfather, who's notorious for his inability to cook is going to try cooking himself something. My sister is going to make sure the house is still standing afterwards.
Hey, I wanted to just drop you all a quick note. Between having two major school projects due over the next two days, finals next week, and craziness at work, my wife just got home from a several nights in the hospital yesterday, and she has some temporary mobility issues so I've had my hands full. Please bot me as necessary. I swear I will be back to my normal posting at some point, hopefully after my finals are over next week.

Finished up with school yesterday, just waiting on the audit for me to officially be done and graduate even though there are no commencements with the whole virus thing. Wife is doing better after brief stint in the hospital. Looking at starting to get back into my games and get posting again sometime this week. My work is really crazy as first kids were coming back on the 17th but now everything is going to be virtual for an indeterminate amount of time, but teachers are coming back still and there is a lot of questions floating out there so bare with me as I ease into catching up on things and getting back into a regular posting routine again over the next week or so.
No worries. Kiley isn't gonna let anything happen to her buddy if she can help it.
I'll give Stryn another day to post, since he's easing back into things, and I'll bot him tomorrow.

I touched base with Dak (Stryn) earlier today and he's tested positive for COVID and has been sick and out of commission for awhile and he still remains sick. He said to let everyone know he'll be back when he recovers.

Hey, I wanted to drop in and give all my games an update. I'm still alive, obviously, and I've managed to stay out of the hospital and off a ventilator. However, I'm still not fully recovered. Even though I'm outside my two week symptomatic/infectious period by over a week there are some lingering issues that are still weighing on me (continued shortness of breath, getting light headed, overall fatigue). I doing my best to push through it but it is barely just enough to get me through work everyday and doesn't leave a lot of time for anything else. I would like to give a hard and fast "I'll be back and up to playing again by this time", but sadly at this point I can't. It could be a couple weeks or it could be a couple months for me to get used to this new (hopefully temporary) norm on top of a few other things going on.
All this to say, I'm ok, I'm trying my best to manage, but I can't give you a hard "this is when I will be back". I understand it has been awhile as it is, between this most recent struggle with COVID and my past slowness with finishing up my graduate stuff so if you need to move on without me I completely understand and I'm just sorry that right as I was getting back into things again this whole virus thing came along and knocked me back down again. I'll check in again once I feel I'm up to playing with everything else I am balancing.
Priorities, man. You and yours must and should come first, so take whatever time you need and take care of yourself. Glad to hear you're still kickin' and hope you'll have a swift recovery.

Sorry for the long silence a lot been going on and after getting pinged on Discord I wanted to drop a note in all my games. I'm actually doing a lot better now, pretty much fully recovered. However, my wife has been really sick, last month she was in the hospital for a week and I'm sitting in the surgery center now waiting to see how things turn out on a few hour procedure she is currently in. Depending on how invasive the surgery is I may be dealing with a lot for at least a month or so taking care of her and the kids and working. On top of that with the holidays coming and the normal delays that revolve around that I am going to say that it's going to be at least January before I look at picking things up again. Maybe if things get better sooner I will try jumping back in before that but I feel like early January is going to be more realistic.
If you need to move on without me I understand feel free to set my character aside or find a replacement if needed and when I check back we can go from there. Sorry for all the absent time, these last few months have just really kicked my butt first physically, then mentally and emotionally. Hope you all are keeping safe and have a good Thanksgiving and Christmas for those who celebrate.
