So, with the holidays coming up, I wanted to schedule out a holiday break.
Due to events with family, I'm going to say we're on a holiday break from December 25 - January 1. I may get a post or two in there, but otherwise I will probably be too busy to do so. During that time, there will be no posting expectation, and we'll get things rolling again on January 2. Sound good?
That sounds fine with me. I'm sure I'll still be checking almost daily, but this time of year is definitely meant to be spent with family. Hope everyone has a good one. :)

Reading from there to when Lullaby makes her exit, (I'm sure that she isn't just itching to get some revenge on Kiley for her parting jabs and humiliation by the way :P ) I think we only kept her armor and that was because Kiley wanted it. I think we let the lackeys and Lullaby have the rest, including her lucky hat (which I was really hoping was a hat of disguise.)

So other than Lullaby's armor we let them all keep the rest of their gear? If so then the only loot we have (aside from our reward) is what we could on the two dead guards.
I think it was only Lullaby who got to keep her gear.... but I could be wrong on that.

Okay, so, the reason we went into combat and Kiley did not get to act in the surprise round is that as soon as one party takes a hostile action, combat automatically starts. In order to get off a surprise attack like that, Kiley would have had to make a Bluff check opposed by the Goblins' Sense Motive checks. Since no one was aware of the location of the other goblin, he got a surprise round. I allowed Kiley to keep her rather excellent Initiative roll and attack rolls on the targeted goblin, however, since she was clearly not fooled by them.
I also now have replaced excruciating back pain with a cold. This has not been a good couple weeks health wise.
Hehe blame it on the baby! I remember for my first kid, that first year I ended up in the ER like 3-4 times from getting so sick and I had never been in the ER before that. The stresses of parent hood are real, especially for your first newborn!

Sorry about the mess of my turn. I thought she could squeeze a leap through the 18 inch gap since Kiley is supposed to be pretty small and slender. I think it'll work out either way, though.
In other news, Kera's player returned to the boards and I got in touch with them. They aren't ready to return yet, but they said if they had the energy, they'd think about it. We might have a chance to see Kera come back at some point in the future.
Oh, and I'm working on a setting for a Savage Worlds game here: Novis Rune
I'd love to get some feedback on it and specifically any ideas for things you'd like to see as players.
While we wait on our illustrious GM to return, anyone up for a little non-canon fun here in the discussion? I've done this in a few games when the GM needed to take a break and it's pretty nice to just play the character without having to worry about any combat or things affecting our chances in game. Normally it's just playing out a conversation between us or tell each other stories. I figured it would also help keep the characters fresh in our minds.
So, any takers?
Kiley lays in the chair, her legs going up the back of it and one of them hooked around to keep her balanced. The other leg is straight up in the air as she twirls her toe in a vain effort to fight off boredom as they waited for some contact that was supposed to meet them a few hours ago.

I'm ok either way. If Kiley has them it will bring her perception closer to Stryn's so if one of us rolls bad hopefully the other can get it. If Stryn gets them, the chance he spots a trap increases though, so benefits either way.
Just a heads up. I did something stupid and gave my fingers a steam burn. I'm hoping that the pain will lessen in the next day or two, but posts from me are definitely going to be less than they have been.

Well, it seems I'm doing a lot better today than I thought I would be. Still stings a little, but not nearly as much as before. Assuming things continue this way, I should be good.

Sorry guys, yeah it's been crazy at work. Got called back in, even though we are supposed to be 'sheltering' and have been working long shifts. I've only had a chance to catch up on a couple things people specifically pinged me about on Discord. That is always the best place to ping me since I will always see it where as I may miss messages on here.
Good news is I have a break tomorrow, so should be able to catch up on things, and then back at it Thursday and possibly Friday. After that though work should settle and I can be more active.
