Roni throws a bolt of fire at the 3-legged creature... and it doesn't appear to even be singed!

Dark Claw approaches the creature, and in a tizzy of attacks... does not land a blow on it. Also, it has 3 eyes, one on each facing side of its body. It has "all around vision" and cannot be flanked.

Elenial! Pleasure to have you back! However, Touchy disarmed you last round so, per Confusion's rules, you would have been required to attack him.

Touchy: You were delaying in case the creature dropped. It did. So let me know what you would like to do.

Botting Roni: Roni snaps his fingers, and thick smoke billows out from the flames of the forge. "Into the smoke! It may make you sick, but it may save you from her until she recovers!" He then moves into the smoke. Roni what is the DC vs sickened for this? I don't have the time to figure it out at the moment.
Fort: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28

Dark Claw: You will begin your turn in this cloud, and will need to make a Fort save (if you fail you are sickened, so I would just apply the penalties, if they exist). But since the creature went down, I am allowing you to re-post for your actual turn.

Botting Elenial: Still under the effects of her confusion Elenial continues to try attacking Touchy. She 5-foot steps up to Touchy and swings twice!
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16

Honestly? I have no idea what Roni just did there :D Pyrotechnics maybe? I don't think I can do that :P. Basic pyrokinecis gives me spark (light stuff on fire), Light (lights stuff on fire as Light except it's also hot) and Flare (dazzles someone, maybe). Or maybe you mixed it up with Smoke Storm, but I don't have that infusion (yet).

Roni moves up to Elenial. "Eh, let her take it out on me. Poke me with a stick if need be. It'll probably pass sooner or later."

As the strange creature falls, Touchy takes a step away from Elenial, and throws the bow back behind him somewhere, where she can not reach it. He then goes back to using his whip the way it was intended!

Not actually throwing it like a weapon, just dropping it behind him somewhere (behind those boxes), to free up his hand for the whip.

He again, tries to pull the elven curve blade out of her hand... but this time is not quite so lucky.

Disarm vs Elenial: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 6 + 1 = 12

"Ah, she likes holding the longer blades!" He exclaims, as she moves in and takes a couple more swings at him.

"Of course, Lord Touchy is nothing if not persistent!" He adds, as he takes another step back, and lashes out once more.

This time, he has far more luck, the leather whip wrapping around the blades hilt, as he quickly tugs it out of her grip as well.

Disarm vs Elenial: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 6 + 1 = 26

Was better than the bow attempt, so assumes that makes it?

Ah, Seems so. I have the character on paper, but I translated it to digital format with a character creator of some sort. Seems like it listed ALL the possible infusions (If you check the spot where Smoke Storm is, you can see that it also lists 9th level infusions ^_^' I would have removed that part had I noticed it, my bad!

Roni: yeah, my bad in my reading of that. Trying to quick look through your stuff and find a thing that wasn't burning Elenial to a crisp (the burning parts I found easily enough!). We'll roll with the Smoke Storm, as that was my mistake, if anyone wants to take cover in it (and risk the sickened condition). But now I know that it isn't something you're capable of in the future.

Eorsten: Yes. I figured the intention was to give her another save. My other posts point out that the Haunted Mercy works like Protection From Evil against mental effects, but Protection from Evil does *not* work against *confusion*. I wanted to clear up that rule and see if you still wanted to do that.

EVERYONE: I'll be wrapping up this round in about 2 hours. Unlesss anyone wants to speak up with a tactic they have: I can just post all the rolls for the remainder of Elenial's confusion. Touchy Disarming, Roni trying to nonlethal & defensive attack to draw her ire, and her attacking Roni in return. And I can just roll through all of those today to "wrap up" the combat and push into the rest of the scenario. If that works?

He moves around to check on the downed enemies... making sure they stay that way, then searching them with detect magic, to see if they have anything useful they can use.

Looks like everyone missed. Not that that's a bad thing in this setup. Just chaotic in a different sense.

Casting Detect Magic Touchy finds 4 items radiating with magic: a wand, the duergar's set of fullplate, the duergar's warhammer, and a headband on the duergar's corpse. The duergar also has a non-magical masterwork heavy steel shield, and 5 light hammers.

Wand - Spellcraft DC16:
Wand of Cure Light Wounds Apparently with a full 50 charges.

Full Plate - Spellcraft DC18:

Touch picks out the more interesting items, and takes a moment to try to learn more, but is only successful on some.

He points to the hammer and the fullplate, and shrugs. "Typical dwarf stuff. Minor enhancements on the armor, unsure about the weapon.

He then lifts the fancy headband. "Unsure about this one either, but it is enchanted as well."

"The wand though, its for healing! Think I have the command figured out, lets see if it actually works!"

He then goes using it to heal up anyone still injured, using Roni as the initial guinea pig. He waves the wand, casting the spell, then runs his hand, perhaps a little too intimately, on the person he's healing to deliver it.

My bad. I was under the impression you had cast it earlier in the scenario than you had. (I went back and found the post. I was wrong) You should still have it up for a while.

GM just to refresh Petrok's spells he has up..he cast a second extended heightened awareness..somewhere on the stairs..He also has an extended barkskin up... he's used all his daily uses on his rod of lesser extend metamagic... Petrok also has protection from fire cast upon himself good for the next 45 min of so.. All three of Petrok's channels are used for today..(in fact he can only cast 2 more spells besides Orison's today..Lesser restoration or resist energy, and call lighting..) Regarding the heightened awareness I want to dismiss it on the very next initiative roll for the +4 bonus ( for a total of +5 bonus on my next initiative roll) Thx...

While searching the forge, you find masterwork tools for both armor and weapon crafting. You also see a display on the wall, that contains many weapons (one copy of every simple and martial weapon in the Core Rulebook. non-masterwork), including two well-made masterwork warhammers. In the corner of the room is a pile of six manacles.

Roni asks others to step a few feet back before he opens the compartment, and then takes a small key out of it. He also takes a longspear with him, just in case.

Before leaving, Roni tests if the key fits the manacles, and if not, checks if there's a key (maybe on the dwarf?) to the manacles. If yes, he suggests that the group takes at least a couple with them, in case they need to take prisoners alive.

Touchy will happily grab up the manacles... though does make a comment on them being a little rough on the wrists, as he tries a pair out... suggesting some padding might be a good addition.

"So now we find this Ironwhip fellow?" He says. "Sounds like just my type!"

He pats his own whip.

"Then again, I'm pretty easy..." he adds, with a suggestive grin.

"We know anything about this guy?" He asks Tanbaru.

Elenial breathes heavily when she wakes up from her confusion but is able to concentrate again. She nods when Roni mentions the hidden compartment. Elenial is a bit annoyed because of her weak mind but also ashamed that she tried to kill her companions so she says just nothing.

This time the group does much better, only running afoul of one team of patrolling duergar. Naturally a fight breaks out, and you defeat the duergar team with only minor injuries. Though not without making a significant amount of noise.

Damage, Everyone: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Everyone takes 7 points of damage in an "abstract"/"off-screen" combat.

After about 15 minutes of travelling through the mountain fortress you come across some double doors. Huh. In the scenario, there is a 15 foot wide hallway where I put you guys. Guess it doesn't copy with the rest of the picture. Anyway, you guys can be queued up however you want out the door, as long as you are no more than three wide (like I have already placed you).

Roni's face begins to speak with Tanbaru's voice, in a shaky tone. "There!... Ironwhip is close. He must be in his sanctum on the other side of those doors..."
You don't think Tanbaru will be much good for any more information, as Roni's face contorts into an extreme expression of sadness and frustration, and devolves into sounds of tearful sobs.

He reaches over and runs one hand along Eorsten's shoulder... a little too long, then goes over and puts both on Dark Claw.

Casting Aid on Eorsten, giving him 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 temporary hit points and a +1 morale bonus to attack rolls.
