Hello all! I've signed up for this table with the expectation that up to 4 of my other tables will be finished (or on the verge of finishing) within a month or two.
Let me know if there's any particular character you'd be interested in having in the party, as I have almost every class deck aside from most of the "original 7". I'm currently thinking of playing one of the following characters; I'd love to take aboard any thoughts the party has.
My Olenjack was used in the Assault on Absalom special, and has already completed Tier 1 of this season, so the first 5 scenarios will be replays (but I'll have a few more ships to offer). He's also kitted out with the Unconventional Firepower boon.
I like him because he's a bit complex and not overly powerful, plus that I've invested a synergistic player boon into him, I'd like to pilot him through a S&S season more than any other, and he's got a tiny card feat bump from playing through the special.
On the other hand, it would be 2 players in the party using the Rogue Class Deck (although in truth, almost 100% of his boons are from Ultimate Equipment, and will continue to be), and 2 dexterity/charisma characters, both lacking in spellcasting.
Ramexes is a character I'm interested in trying, and I've not used either the Oracle Class Deck or Ultimate Combat Add-On Deck for any of my PFSACG characters yet. Plus, he rounds the team out quite well, as a Melee/Divine character primarily prepared to deal with monsters.
I do hope a certain ruling about Mavaro and his "gain skills" power is clarified before we start, if so, but I've long planned to trial out MM Mavaro alongside Ultimate Wilderness' masses of 'hand-size increasing' plants. In doing so, he can stockpile a very large quantity of cards and selectively add a wide variety of traits to his checks by displaying them when necessary, leading to some interesting methods of exploiting various 'traits-matter' cards in both class decks. (For your X check, add Y, etc)
I've never actually played a proper Mavaro before, except in one-shot test environments. Either way, this is the 'weirdest' option.
I've always wanted to see how far Alase's ability to rapidly hand-off cards via her Cohort's ability could be exploited. The Add-On Deck would likely be decided over what boons I could stuff a deck with that I'd potentially like to hand-off to another player at key points; from healing, anti-barrier, anti-monster, auto-defeat cards, to simply methods of allowing a single character to force more and more explorations.
Zvarbel is another character that kind of fascinates me. Sluggish, particularly in the early game, but some curiously potent post-role features. She's a powerful anti-barrier character (very useful in S&S), carries excellent strength, and I can't help but feel that her Spell Trapper role has incredible potential if used right.
Her Spell Trapper role lets her draw cards from her discard pile and the box when failing checks, which seems incredibly potent alongside cards that force you to make checks (spell recharge checks are just the tip of the iceberg, really*), and another one of her powers lets her reset her hand and re-start an encounter if she fails a check against a non-villain monster (or barrier, in some cases). If you can stack a few ways of preventing damage (which some Add-On decks are well-suited to doing), she can restock her hand - albeit a rather small hand - potentially a few times in a turn.
*Note that I've unfortunately labelled Reepazo with my vote of "most powerful character in PACG by far" on account of being able to turn-1 beat a variety of scenarios (from as early as AD2) by exploiting powers that allow you to draw a card on every check you make. Thankfully, I don't anticipate Zvarbel to be remotely as exploitable, partially on account of her requirement to fail but also due to her lack of Divine magic/repeatable large healing.
She's also very different to most characters I play - small hand size, armor oriented, few means of producing bonus explorations.

Party looks like the following so far (listing skills covered by characters; bold = amazing (unbuffed average roll 8+), standard font = good (unbuffed average roll 6+), blue = poor (unbuffed average roll 4+))
Enora => Arcane, Craft, Knowledge
Jirelle => Acrobatics, Survival, Melee (Finesse only), Fortitude
Maznar => Divine, Survival, Fortitude
Agna => Melee, Perception, Survival
Not covered: Disable, Ranged, Diplomacy
It looks like we have healing covered pretty well as well as melee combat. Having someone with Diplomacy would be good, but not a strict requirement. Overall, I think you can play whomever you want to play the most, party comp is probably going to be fine regardless of your pick.

Hi!
I'm about 90% sure I'll be playing WotR Enora rather than Ultimate Magic Enora. I don't know anything else about Tapestry's Tides, but if it's based on S&S, seemed like the time to take Craft.
All things being equal, clearly Yewstance should play a short character, so as to fit in with the rest of Captain Jirelle's diminutive crew ;)

Yewstance |

I see since I made my original post we've got a Ranger and Druid signed up - neat! Also, good choices for Season 5, since Survival skills are so important in S&S.
I don't see any characters that are very boon-centric (and Ship movement may actually make the character, pre-role, a little worse, not better) so I'm no longer interested in Alase, and the Druid/Ranger teammates means I'm not as interested in taking Ramexes, either.
My shortlist is now down to Zvarbel (throws in a Disable-talented character and a Heavy Armor user), Olenjack (throws in a Diplomacy powerhouse, and a noncombat specialist of a sort) and Mavaro (well... he's Mavaro).
Inclining mostly towards Olenjack.
(I am tempted by the concept of having an all-dwarf/Halfling crew, so maybe I should strike Mavaro off my list just for that reason.) :)
====================
Rules question; I have to give up my AD2 boons (from the Special) and replace them with basics if I replay Tier 1 with Olenjack, correct? Do I get to use the Loot and Powers gained during Tier 1 on a replay (given that they say "for the rest of the Adventure Path" - does an earlier scenario really meet the definition of "the rest of the Adventure Path"?).

Nope, you keep your deck (including AD2 cards) and all rewards you've already unlocked for this season. Just, since we're playing AD1 you won't be able to get any new AD2 cards until we move onto AD2 with the table.

Right, I misremembered the following quote...
A character can never begin a scenario with any card that has an adventure deck number higher than
her tier.
And thought it was referring to your scenario tier, rather than your own character's tier, Whoops.

Olenjack, the Measured |

Well I've settled on Olenjack; the first few scenarios will be replays, but nothing wrong with a few more ships under his belt. :)
Just have to work out the flavor, since during Assault on Absalom this 'legitimate' crimelord hated getting his hands dirty, and hated the ocean.

Wow, I just clued in to the fact that there was a discussion going on in the discussion tab.
Looks like we have a well-rounded party going. I'm looking forward to playing! FYI - Agna's skills are listed below and her deck handler is linked to this post.

Hi everyone! We're a week away from starting.
I had started some conversations about possibly hosting this game on myth-weavers/discord, but I think we'll just run it here and use Hangouts for our group chat. At some point in the future, I intend to start using Discord for group chat, but I'm going to hold off on that for now.
I'll create the hangouts shortly. I think everyone here is familiar with the game and playing PbP, so I expect this should go very smoothly. One thing we'll need to figure out yet is turn order.

Olenjack, the Measured |

Which reminds me, I can send my Chronicle Sheets from Olenjack thus far if it's useful - one from my first run of 5-1 and one from Assault on Absalom.
Having already played 5-1 also means I've got a couple of ships to offer if need be (visible in my Deck Handler) - Olenjack's got valuable connections to leverage. I also have some "Power-like" rewards already earned for this first adventure.
As far as Turn Order goes, I recommend Agna first (since examination powers are ever so slightly more valuable earlier in the scenario). Olenjack may also suit being earlier in the turn order, since he can evade banes (and might be able to isolate a villain or something) and usually wants to stock up in boon-heavy locations early on, to gain more weapons and support to make up for his weak combat checks.
Of course, nothing wrong with ordering us by timezone either. I'm most active from 4-8am AEST, at least on weekdays. I'm usually free for more time on weekends, something like 12pm-12am.
The only other point I'd like to bring up is that Olenjack will often appreciate being given spare weapons (that don't require proficiency) by the party, since...

skizzerz - Jirelle |

I don't have a strong preference of where I am in turn order. It makes sense for examines to go earlier, so feel free to slot me in wherever. All of my powers either only benefit myself or don't impact turn order decisions since they're always on.
Time-wise I'm in MST, with when I'm available to post varying wildly so I can't promise any consistency there. I'll be able to check in at least once a day though (except perhaps weekends, my weekends are usually booked solid).
For Olenjack, I have spare weapons but none of them are great for you. I'll keep in mind to pass you them if you need it though. Might be best to post on the Hangouts if you're looking for one so we don't forget :)
Strength d6 ☐+1 ☐+2
Dexterity d10 ☐+1 ☐+2 ☐+3 ☐+4
Acrobatics: Dexterity +1
Constitution d6 ☐+1 ☐+2
Fortitude: Constitution +2
Intelligence d4 ☐+1
Wisdom d8 ☐+1 ☐+2 ☐+3
Survival: Wisdom +3
Charisma d8 ☐+1 ☐+2 ☐+3
Favored Card: Ally
Hand Size 5 ☐6 ☐7
Proficient with: Light Armors, Weapons
Powers:
For your check that has or is against a card that has the Finesse trait, you gain the skill Melee: Dexterity +2.
If your check has the Swashbuckling trait (☐ or is a check to defeat a ship), you may reroll 1 die (☐ or 2 dice); you must take the second result.
Reduce Structural damage to your ship by 1.

Agna - WilderRedbeard |

I'm fine with whatever turn order works best. I am in the EST (UTC -5) time zone and am generally available 7am - 10pm most days with that being slightly restricted on evenings and weekends.

Agna - WilderRedbeard |

Depending on how Chthonicthul feels about it, I would switch Agna and Maznar. That order seems to work quite well timing-wise with Hayato going before Amaryllis in our SotS game.

BR Mork |
1A ACQUIRED CARDS:
Weapon C Cutlass +1
Weapon B Dagger
Weapon 1 Pepperbox
Weapon B Pistol
Weapon B Sap
Spell B Arcane Armor
Spell C Buoyancy
Spell B Detect Magic
Spell B Frostbite
Armor B Cloth Armor
Armor C Leather Armor
Armor B Magic Buckler
Armor C Magic Chain Shirt
Item 1 Archer's Bracers
Item B Potion of Healing
Item B Topaz of Strength
Ally C Master-at-Arms
Blessing C Blessing of Achaekek
Blessing B Blessing of Pharasma

skizzerz - Jirelle |

Tier 1.1: Skill Feat: Dexterity +1
Loot: I'm interested in taking Blessing of Besmara as a blessing swap.
Deck Upgrade Preferences (in order):
1. Blessing B (Blessing of the Gods -> Blessing of Milani)
2. Item B (Magnifying Glass -> Masterwork Tools)
Will defer on Item 1 to someone who can make good use of it. Masterwork Tools is pretty amazing and I'll probably be sticking with it for most of the AP, and I only have 2 item slots.
It looks like Olenjack is looking for a Blessing B as well, so here's what I'm seeing so far:
Agna: Weapon 1
Enora: Spell B
Jirelle: Blessing B
Maznar: Item 1
Olenjack: Blessing B

Olenjack, the Measured |

5-1A: TIDE OF BONES - Olenjack Rewards
Tier Progression: This was a replayed scenario. No Tier Progression (still 2.1).
Olenjack's Deck Upgrade preferences are as follows...

Agna - WilderRedbeard |

Tier Reward: Skill Feat - Strength +1
Deck Upgrades: Weapon 1 - Repelling Pike +1 in for Quarterstaff

skizzerz - Jirelle |

Oops, just realized there was only one Ally. So, rolls:
[Dice=Deck Upgrade: Ally B]1d1000
[Dice=Deck Upgrade: Spell B]1d1000
[Dice=Deck Upgrade: Item 1]1d1000
We assumed that you wanted the Item 1 more than the Ally B based on your post. In either case, both are available so take whichever you prefer. If you want the Ally instead, just let Mork know.
In general, I prefer if we can reach a consensus on what upgrades everyone is taking rather than rolling off for them. Given that all of us are on Hangouts, that's easy enough to do :)

skizzerz - Jirelle |

Tier 1.2: Power feat: If your check has the Swashbuckling trait (☑ or is a check to defeat a ship)
Deck Upgrade: Standard Bearer -> Marianix Karn (Ally B) We have plenty of those, so no need to roll/discuss for this one. Karn is a better upgrade than any of my Ally 1 options, really.

Olenjack, the Measured |

5-1B: GRINDYLOW GRIFTERS - Olenjack Rewards
Tier Progression: This was a replayed scenario. No Tier Progression (still 2.1).
Olenjack's Deck Upgrade preferences are as follows...
I'll keep my deck upgrades low priority - I've already got a lot of upgrades under my belt, and won't really have much to find until AD3.
No opinion on Ship Choice, though I'm happy with Mistmourne. Olenjack's personally seized ships are always available to the party if a consensus is made.

Agna - WilderRedbeard |

Tier Reward: Power Feat
You may recharge a card that has the Offhand trait to add 1d6 ( [ X ] +1) and that card's traits to your combat check.
Deck Upgrade:
Weapon B (Main Gauche in for Terbutje)

Olenjack, the Measured |

5-1C: THE DEVIL AND THE STORM - Olenjack Rewards
Tier Progression: This was a replayed scenario. No Tier Progression (still 2.1).
Olenjack's Deck Upgrade preferences are as follows...
Another method of re-using my blunderbuss if I bury it for a powerful poison combat check.
(As usual, consider me last in deck upgrade priority list, at least until Tier 2. Probably until Tier 3.)
5-1B Boon Roll, I suppose?: 1d20 ⇒ 11 -> Nope.

skizzerz - Jirelle |

5-1B Boon Roll: 1d20 ⇒ 3 Nope. Not that I really need the boon anyway, I already have a copy of it...
I'll wait on the 5-1C list and reward before deciding what I want for that scenario.
I'll probably replace my banished Whip with itself again, unless there's a weapon upgrade that catches my eye instead.

BR Mork |
Yes, we get a d20 boon roll after every other scenario during OutPost. On a 1 or 20, you win: Amateur Swashbuckler: You may check an unchecked box that precedes this reward to add or remove the Swashbuckling trait from your check. If your character has the Swashbuckler trait, you may add an additional 1d4. (4 checkboxes)
Boon!: 1d20 ⇒ 10

Agna - WilderRedbeard |

Deck Upgrades:
Agna has a few options and would be willing to take any of them if someone really wants a specific upgrade. Upgrades listed in order of preference:
Item 1 - Masterwork Tools
Blessing B - Blessing of Gozreh
Ally C - Snow Leopard
Item B - Spyglass
5-1B Boon Roll: 1d20 ⇒ 1 Nice! I have the Amateur Swashbuckler boon from Retrocon so if someone doesn't have one yet I would be happy to pass it over.

skizzerz - Jirelle |

My upgrade options are as follows:
Item 1: Harrow Deck (lets us examine and rearrange top 3 cards of a location)
Blessing 1: Abadar
Blessing B: Erastil
Ally B: Old Salt
Going to discuss on Hangouts who is better served by the Item 1, as Masterwork Tools is pretty great as well.

skizzerz - Jirelle |

Here's what I gathered from Hangouts discussion:
Agna gets Item 1
Enora gets Spell B
Jirelle gets Blessing 1
Maznar gets Spell 1
Olenjack is not taking an upgrade

Olenjack, the Measured |

5-1D: IN THIEVES’ WAKE - Olenjack Rewards
Tier Progression: This was a replayed scenario. No Tier Progression (still 2.1).
The only deck upgrade I'm looking for is an Item 1, and I don't anticipate that there will be one drawn and free. Plus, Olenjack shouldn't be a priority for any given deck upgrade. :)
Put me down as a Spell 0, followed by a Weapon 0 or something, in the unlikely event that deck upgrades listed on your chronicle sheet ever matters during this Season (like it can in Season 4). (I forgot to do so in the past, but I suppose I might as well now.)

skizzerz - Jirelle |

5-1D
Tier progression: Card feat: Ally
Reward: Defer random pull to party preference
Deck upgrades: Item B (Magnifying Glass->Masterwork Tools), Ally B (Empty slot->Fencer)
Boon roll (every 2 scenarios) 1d20 ⇒ 6 Nope
