@Smek Laniakea is correct, did not touch.
@Spanner Will add 1 AC to your ship

Elwin has your weapon arrays target the shark's... claws, and weapons.
Smek diverts power to your weapons.
No 1's rolled this time
Chetna hits the shark, and, thanks to Elwin's targeting, wounds the alien animal's claws. You see it "wince", and "blood" flow in big globs... it is wounded.
6 damage ; 1 CT passed ; port claw "glitching"

Round 2
DC23 Piloting to beat for Numina 6's init' roll, to get init'.
Otherwise, move first.

![]() |

"Do not let that big--very big--fish get the better of your skills, Numina. I have see you playing those vidgames," Laniakea says. "I know that you can do it."
Diplomacy (DC 18): 1d20 + 13 + 1d6 ⇒ (9) + 13 + (1) = 23

![]() |

Numina hits the boosters and sends the ship screaming forward.
Piloting, assist, ship bonus: 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 10 + 2 + 1 = 16
Rememebr the ship gives +2 to computers and +1 to any other two checks, Looks like we are moving first
Numina sends the ship screaming off, swooping round to brings its weapons to bear on the space whale.
Evasive, ship bonus: 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 10 + 1 = 13
Well, the RNG hates me today

![]() |

I would add flavorful stuffs for Kei, but he isn't much of a talker.
Shoost: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
3d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 5) = 10

![]() |

I thought so, just wanted to confirm. Thank you!
Smek continues to monitor the ship systems for any damage. He continues diverting energy to the ship weapon systems.
Divert to Weapons/DC 15: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18

![]() |

Can you add the DC (like Smek did) when you are going vs. your ship's tier (which is 3, and it rounds down, so tier x 1.5 = 4)
Laniakea encourages Numina 6, but it is not enough to beat the rapid space shark, and the evasive maneuvers do not pan out.
Your ship moves out, followed by the space whale, that bobs and weaves to make a harder target.
The space fish comes out and all the way around the aft of your vessel, lining up to your port side, and lashing out at you with its starboard claw. The big paw trying to rip into you.
Without a word, Kei'jon swivels the turret and fires, managing to track the shark's evasive maneuvers, and hit it.
The shark opens its mouth in pain... but in space, it makes no noise, just like Kei.
10 damage
Smek is still sending energy to the weapons.
no 1's for Kei, but Chetna, if you have 1's they become 2's
The shark's big paw smashes into your vessel with a powerful blow, but your shields reduce the damage, and it is unable to scratch the metal.
You realize it is aiming for your Power Core, and that it is somehow pushing life-energy into its attacks to make them a bit more powerful.
12 damage ; port shields reduced to 3 from 15 (I put new amount in the slide)
Round 2

Elwin assits the gunners, once again attempting to target the beasts weapons, er.... teeth and claws...
computers:Target weapons DC 5+ (1.5 x Tier) + any countermeasures he has.: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23

![]() |

Also, don't forget the ship also gives a +1 to piloting. So N6 got a 24 earlier.
Chetna stares down the beast and fires again muttering, "From Hell's heart I stab at thee; for hate's sake I spit my last breath at thee."
Aim Lasers: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 Likely not hitting.
Damage: 2d4 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5 The 1 becomes a 2. So, 6 damage.

Chetna's laser show missed and Elwin's aim did not serve this time...

"What a swift beast, she is!" Laniakea exclaims. "Numina: keep doing your best. Kei'jon: you seem to have this down to a science. Chetna: don't let that slippery beast get under your skin. Keep your focus. I know you will land your shot next time."

Laniakea encourages Chetna.
+2 for Chetna's gunnery roll
Numina moves your ship and manages to do successful evasive maneuvers.

Elwin has laser guidance for the gunners to hit the claws and mouth...

Smek swears as the lights go out on one of his panels, he gives the panel a hard slap and mutters as he tries to bring it back online.

2 damage ; this passes the 2nd CT, so crit' to weapon array thanks to targeting
The shark's jaw is hurt and you see it's mouth is bleeding.
Bite glitching too
Kei'jon fires, and would have hit, but the shark avoids it... and Laniakea was not able to encourage which would have helped.
From the shark's eyes, a kind of green light emerges, and you see a green ray come flying at your ship!
The alarms go off: radioactive warning!
The beam hits you fair and square.
5 damage to your starboard shield - with 4d4, so lame! - and I rolled a 20, but since no damage to hull, no crit' - so doubly lame! - poor useless shark. I will call alien endangered space shark protective services on you all!

Numina 6 moves and makes it harder to target you.
The space whale-shark comes straight at you, opening its maw... but it is unable to reach you.
It sends out another radioactive beam from its eyes, but you see that its wounded mouth makes it harder to focus. It misses you.
Glitching front arc
That is a tricky space shark indeed, since its evasive movements make it avoid Kei'jon's pew pewing... but as Laniakea says, Kei can keep up with its movements. And so, thanks to the captain's trust in his skills, Kei hits!
the +2 did the thing, so: 12 damage
Total damage done: 38
Elwin knows port is at 11 and starboard at 10, and front/aft at 15.
slide 10 has the current stats of your ship

Hull intact.
Thanks to Elwin, Kei's attack hits the shark's weapon array - its rib!
You passed a 3rd CT - starboard weapon array - claw! - malfunctioning
Note: can you all put the DC up when you must calculate it (like in this case, Elwin)
Chetna up

Apologies. I put it up the first time and didn't after. :) It's a low DC, 5 + (1.5*enemy tier)+ any countermeasures he has. I don't know his tier or any countermeasures so...
