Welcome to 1-12 Ashes of Discovery written by John Laffan & Crystal Malarsky
Scenario Tags: Repeatable & Starship - Levels 1-4
When a major Pact Worlds organization approaches the Starfinder Society about investigating an abandoned outpost in Near Space, the PCs get assigned to the case. Travelling to a distant world, surmounting dangerous threats in the void of space, and meeting new alien cultures—this mission is about everything the Starfinder Society embodies.
Ashes of Discovery is a replayable scenario designed to help introduce players to what it's like to be a member of the Starfinder Society. With randomized mechanical and story elements, when you play this scenario, you'll never play the same scenario twice.

Hello Laniakea & Numina 6 )))
And welcome Chetna Wavari!
I got a PM from our 6th, who has a little sad emergency, and should be hooking up with us in a bit.
Soldier 4
Op' 1
Steward 2
Outlaw 2
Techno 4
--and I believe it is a techno 1 that is joining, which would make this Tier 1-2
(as Kei'jon pointed out, if lvl 2 then you choose, and lvl 3 or 4 you go up... if my calculations are correct).

So, with a more experienced Laniakea:
Soldier 4
Op' 1
Steward 3
Outlaw 2
Techno 4
so, if our latecomer is level 1, it is your choice.
If level 2 or more you are in Tier 3-4.
In case he is level 1, voting for the choice to save time:
• Kel'jon abstains to let the lvl 1 & 2 vote
• Smek votes for playing up in Tier 3-4
The others may speak up...
I will start getting the intro' out today so we can greet our last PC and calculate Tiers while getting started.
In order to determine which subtier a mixed-level group of PCs must play in, calculate the group’s Average Party Level (APL).
APL = sum of character levels/number of characters
Divide the total number of character levels by the number of characters in the party, rounding to the nearest whole number (this is an exception to the usual ‘round down’ rule). If the result of the Average Party Level calculation ends with 0.5, the players should decide whether to round up or down.
Scenarios are designed for six characters and contained methods to adjust for tables with four players.

Hello all. Apologies for the delay. Yes, Technomancer 1 here and even as a 'squishy', I'll be glad to play up if the group wants to.
And, for anyone that cares, a Cat Cardiologist is a real life thing and my ageing cat has arrhythmia but it looks like he'll be fine with a little medication every day. :)

Hello, Elwin, happy your cat made it! )))
So:
Soldier 4
Op' 1
Steward 3
Outlaw 2
Techno 4
Techno 1
thus 15 divided by 6 so 2.5, so you choose.
• Kel'jon abstains to let the lvl 1 & 2 vote
• Smek votes for playing up in Tier 3-4 [1 for up]
• Numina 6 abstains to let the lvl 1 & 2 vote
• Elwin okay for playing up if people want [semi-abstain, semi 1 for up?]
• Chetna fine with whatever [abstain]
• Laniakea votes for down [1 for down]
Nice!
We have 1 clear vote for up, 1 clear vote for down...
So: Elwin, do you want to vote for playing up, or remain more neutral and go with whatever?
Kel'jon, Numina, Chetna, do you want to vote?
